Harry Potter: The Name's Constantine...

Getting reincarnated after having cancer all his life, he is determined to make his journey in the magical world of Harry Potter as fun and exciting as possible, that includes tragedies along with ups and downs, by the way, the full experience. What else can be more exciting than becoming a hit-wizard for hire with morals? Oh, did he mention that he was older than the Golden Trio by two years? "Yeah, magic's cool. Sure, it's quite versatile and is more efficient in killing someone. But, you know what? A gun's more satisfying to shoot and kill." Harry Potter X John Wick Inspired OC

CHAPTER 11

A/N:

Sorry for missing last week's update, I just started my internship that my college forced us to take.

On a side note, I've been cooking up a new fic, it currently has 10 chapters with no title name yet (I suck at naming stuff). Maybe once I have like 15 to 20 chapters I will start posting them for a while instead of my other books' updates.

Eh, we'll see. Enjoy this extra chapter and see you guys ;)

Grabbing a fistful of Floo powder, he thought back to the past few months that had passed by since the Greengrass mission.

For saving Daphne, alerting the family of the invasion, and dealing with a total of 4 Death Eaters, he was awarded with a life debt from the Greengrass House along with 1,000 Galleons (About 100,000 USD) from both Jacob and the Ministry for "Protecting one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight Houses".

Aria and Charles went back to Canada for her Second Year in Ilvermorny after the job, she promised to send letters, which she very well did, they were in constant contact, at least 2 letters a week about school and boys who keep drooling around her.

"Greengrass Manor."

John said calmly while throwing the powder as the flames surrounded him, sending him through the Floo network to the Greengrass Manor.

He was now 6 years old, and had finished his apprentice-ship with Edwin just four months ago. That means he had 100 successful missions to his name, starting his Hit-Wizard career in G rank.

The ranking system of the Bar was simple, it started from the lowest, G, to the highest, S. The higher the rank, the harder the mission gets, but the pay will be much higher.

From rank B onwards, Noble Houses will start employing Hit-Wizards consistently for either bodyguard missions or "clean-up" missions, making the rank hard but worth getting to.

Every month, the Bar holds a Rank-Up based on missions done in a month's time along with a practical test to allow a Wizard in the Bar to rank up.

He had taken one of the tests just recently, and because of his skills, he got triple promoted to E rank. He would have shot up to C straight away if not for his age and limited experience, that was what the tester said to him prior.

Now, to advance to D rank, he had to have 50 jobs on his belt and defeat a D ranked tester.

Appearing at the Floo station in the Greengrass Manor, he gets welcomed by a short magical creature with droopy long ears.

"Master Johnny, robes please."

The Greengrass House Elf, Kimmy, asked as he handed over the robe he was wearing, revealing a black shirt along with jeans, something he got in the mundane world (He hates the word Muggles) since the wizardry world has poor taste in fashion, to the House Elf.

"Master Johnny's room is as usual. Kimmy be seeing Master Johnny at dinner in two hours."

And with a POP!, the creature disappeared.

You heard him right, he has his own room in the Greengrass Manor, something that Celine and Jacob did not relent when his apprentice-ship finished, even when he could just stay at the Leaky Cauldron.

"I'm not going to let my baby girl's saviour sleep in that shack when I could do something about it. And don't think of buying a house with all that money, John, wizards can't buy buildings anywhere until they reach adulthood at 17."

Jacob said before he instantly instructed Kimmy to clean up a guest bedroom to make it his. Well, at the very least, he paid for the room by doing more missions for Jacob with a 20% discount, that was something he guessed.

And don't get him started with Daphne. Ever since he came back conscious, she has been sticking to him like Flex Tape. Celine has been gushing about them both, to which made him shudder in cringe. Jacob even brought up a conversation about marriage a few months ago, to which he immediately shot it down.

Sure, in the wizarding world, these were quite normal, but as a teenage in the modern age, he just feels so weirded out by this. He was not a groomer, dang it!

Ugh, speaking about jobs, so far, he had completed a total of 30 missions and had garnered a good sum of money, at least almost 700 Galleons from all his jobs (About 70,000 USD). Adding up with the remaining balance in his bank, he was now a millionaire, bloody hell.

But for now, he was going to enjoy a nice bed before dinner. Living in the woods for almost a week did that to someone, especially when the forest had rogue werewolves ready to eat ass at any time.

Satisfied with his current progress on his Occlumency, he looked at his other magic spells in his current arsenal.

It's been almost a few months, and his mastery of the spells were going swiftly. No more Mana leaks for each spell, that meant that his Mana control over these spells were perfect.

He was thinking of adding another spell to his arsenal, but decided not to until he mastered everything. Lo and behold, he did.

Now, the question was what spell to learn next?

Flipping through the intermediate book that Edward bought him for the triple promotion, he came across a neat charm from the 6th year section.

"Avis, huh?"

Avis, the Bird-Conjuring Charm. A charm that conjures bird from the tip of the wand. The uses of the charm was to train conjuration since it was the easiest other than the snake-summoning charm.

Wizards may think that this was a shitty spell, from the comments about it under the comment section of the spell, saying that it was a "Waste of Mana", or "Only used for beginners", but oh no, this was a very, very powerful spell.

Most dangerous spells like Avada Kedavra or Crucio have glaring faults in them:

1) They go in a straight line.

2) They usually stop when hitting an object.

So, that's where Avis comes in, or basically any conjuring charm to be honest.

The birds that he conjures will take the hit instead, and it can act as a smokescreen for him to perform some other things. It can even act as an attack since he could tell the birds to target the enemy.

He liked Avis more especially since it costs a lot less Mana compared to the majority of the conjuring spell family tree.

The problem was that he sucked at Transfiguration. Even with clean Mana control, he had a hard time transfiguring an object. Even the starting assignments for the Year 1 Transfiguration were hard for him since they just don't seem to work the way he wants it too!

It's like the Mana he pushes out to transfigure an object suddenly becomes a hormonal teenager and wants to rebel against his dad or something. They just don't like him.

Maybe he sucks at Transfiguration, like how he struggles with non-combat Charms like Accio? Maybe he just doesn't have the talent for those kinds of spells?

But it doesn't make sense! Some Charms in his arsenal aren't even combat spells, but he could do it easily without any issues!

... Hypothetically, maybe it was because he views them as combat spells? Imagination was one of the main components in manifesting a spell...

Ruffling his hair in annoyance, he sighs as he flips through the book more to get more ideas on which spell to master next.

Man, he should have chosen to be a master at all kinds of spells instead of wording to be a master in all combat spells.
