Chapter 68: The Forbidden Forest Incident Begins

After letting the Ridgeback out, Hagrid personally drew a vial of its blood and then returned the syringe to Lynn.

"The deal is complete, thank you," Lynn nodded with a smile after taking the syringe. 

Seeing Hagrid stuff the Ridgeback back into the suitcase, Lynn, who was in a good mood, took the initiative to say, "Are you going to send it away? I can go with you! If there's any emergency, I can also help solve it."

Hearing Lynn's words, Harry and Ron wanted to decline, and Harry said, "Sorry, but our Invisibility Cloak may not fit four people."

Lynn waved his wand, and his figure disappeared on the spot, and his casual voice came out, "It's okay, I know the Disillusionment Charm."

After that, Lynn's figure appeared again.

Irina and Hermione readily agreed. They naturally wanted to have such a powerful senior to help them.

As for Harry and Ron, who still had an aversion to Slytherin, they stopped objecting when they saw that their two companions had agreed.

So the five left Hagrid's hut and headed for the tallest tower at night.

Since Irina burned Charlie's letter with a fire spell after reading it, the letter was not obtained by Malfoy, and Malfoy's trouble naturally did not happen.

The five people walked up the spiral staircase smoothly and came to the top of the tower.

After about ten minutes, four broomsticks flew in from a distance, and the owners of these four broomsticks also came to the top of the tower. They were all Charlie's friends.

After learning that the little dragon was placed in an alchemically-enhanced suitcase, these friends of Charlie's were all surprised.

Lynn sensed that there were people in the corridor in advance, so he subconsciously cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself before entering the corridor, which saved him from being discovered by Filch.

But Irina and the other four were miserable. They didn't know the Disillusionment Charm, and their Invisibility Cloak accidentally fell on the top of the tower.

Especially Irina, she was very upset. She knew that this would happen, but she forgot about the Invisibility Cloak because she was thinking about the Ridgeback.

Filch led the four unwilling students to Professor McGonagall's study. They were all Gryffindor students, so naturally they had to be dealt with by Professor McGonagall, the Head of Gryffindor House.

"I'm absolutely disgusted. Four students out of bed in one night! I've never heard of such a thing before!" Professor McGonagall said angrily.

'Don't worry, there are more than four students who don't sleep every night!' Irina complained in her heart.

Professor McGonagall looked at the four of them with a stern gaze, and she said angrily, "You two, Miss Lowell and Miss Granger, I thought you were both very bright! And you, Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, I thought Gryffindor meant more to you than this!"

"All four of you will receive detentions! Moreover, fifty points will be taken from Gryffindor House, fifty points each!"

Professor McGonagall looked like a roaring lioness.

Even Irina was stunned by the loss of two hundred points at once. You know, in the original book, Malfoy's meddling caused Slytherin to lose fifty points, and Ron's injury prevented him from participating in this action.

But now, Slytherin did not lose any points, while Gryffindor lost fifty points, which directly widened the gap between the two Houses! It seemed that at the end of this term, even Professor Dumbledore couldn't award them enough points to make up for it!

Irina thought helplessly, after all, in the original book, with Professor Dumbledore's addition, Gryffindor only led Slytherin by ten points, and this time, the one hundred points of the House points that were lost could not be made up even if there was one more Irina.

After being punished, Irina and the others were driven out of the study by Professor McGonagall. The next day, after learning the culprits who caused the House points to be deducted by two hundred points, Harry and the other four immediately became the target of Gryffindor's ire.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione all felt sad and ashamed, only Irina still maintained her original demeanor.

Harry was puzzled by this.

"Let me ask you, Harry, do you regret sending the Ridgeback away?" Irina asked, facing Harry's doubts.

Harry shook his head. Of course he didn't regret it. If he didn't send the Ridgeback away, then it would have no place to live one day. Once the Ridgeback was discovered, it would be taken away by the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic and skinned to become a pile of magical ingredients. 

Irina spread her hands and said, "In that case, why should we be sad? As for the House points, I think if you two are willing to study hard, it won't be difficult to earn the points back. After all, Hermione and I have added more than a hundred points to Gryffindor this term!"

Hearing this, Harry and Ron looked at each other. The guilt they felt towards their other classmates made them determined to study hard.

But after just over a week, the two of them, who were hard-pressed to change their nature, started to slack off again.

Time passed quickly, and soon it was the last week before the final exams. 

At breakfast on this day, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Irina received the same note, which said, "Your detention will take place at eleven o'clock tonight. Meet Mr. Filch in the entrance hall."

The signer was Professor McGonagall.

Seeing this scene, Irina understood that the Forbidden Forest incident was about to begin.

Irina knew that they would face Voldemort, who had possessed Quirrell, next. Fortunately, Malfoy was not there this time; otherwise, with a cowardly teammate, their efforts would be in vain.

In the evening, the four came to the entrance hall and followed Filch out of Hogwarts castle.

Filch kept muttering along the way, full of malice.

Soon, everyone passed through the dark grounds, came to the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest, and met Hagrid.

After handing the four over to Hagrid, Filch left.

And just then, an unexpected person appeared. 

"Senior Rowle, why are you here?" Irina asked in surprise.

A figure appeared out of thin air. It was obvious that Lynn had cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself before.

Lynn said concisely, "Last time you were caught, I left early. As compensation, I will accompany you for your detention this time."
