Lynn nodded, his expression cautious.

With determination, Lynn summoned a ball of flame, gathering the necessary materials for the dampening stone.

As Lynn progressed through the alchemical process, when it came time to condense it into the dampening stone, he reversed the process. Waving his wand, a potent magic force broke apart the incomplete alchemical creation, transforming it into a unique magic imbued with alchemical power.

Though this magic possessed the qualities of both, Lynn detected the unmistakable aura of magic-dampening within it. While inherently magical, it also had the ability to suppress magical energies. This contradiction intrigued Lynn deeply.

After a brief examination, Lynn realized that this specially processed magic could suppress or seal the magic of adversaries according to his intent, while leaving allies unaffected. In this way, this magic-dampening power would not accidentally hurt friendly forces!

Lynn was very surprised by this. You know, the main reason for Professor Green's accident was not only that the magic-dampening rod was not strong enough, but also that it sealed his own magic power. Otherwise, Professor Green could have escaped with Apparition.

Then, over the next half hour, he carved amplification runes like "flame", "amplification", "strengthening" at an unprecedented speed, as well as several runes with magic-dampening powers akin to those he'd use in crafting the magic-dampening rod.

Finally, Lynn connected them all in series, forming a complete alchemical array.

The power of the secret method worked once more, seamlessly merging the three different systems of power: alchemy, array alchemy, and the magic flame into one cohesive force.

With the carving knife put away, Lynn held the flame with both hands. The special magic flame, like a newborn child, danced in his grasp, exuding an aura of familiarity.

One meter in diameter, the flame's power to nullify magic subtly affected its surroundings. Lynn raised his hand, absorbing the flame into his body instead of using his magic wand.

As the flame merged with him, Lynn sensed its dormant presence within him, ready to be summoned at will.

Flamel explained, "The flame's power won't expand on its own. To increase its potency, you'll need to repeat the process, absorbing new special magic power into your body. This way, you can summon a larger flame when needed."

Lynn nodded, understanding the analogy Flamel provided. If his body were a fish tank, then the special magic power within him was the water in the tank. The process of combining alchemy and magic was akin to filling the tank. Repeating this process would increase the water, enabling Lynn to draw upon more power when necessary.

Flamel smiled kindly, impressed by Lynn's success on his first attempt. He urged Lynn to give the flame a name.

Considering its essence as a unique flame imbued with the power of the dampening stone and Flamel's teachings, Lynn proposed, "Master, I've decided. Let's call it 'Magic-Dampening Flame.'"

Flamel nodded approvingly. "A fitting name. Your teacher would indeed be proud."

With a smile, Lynn agreed. "Indeed, Master."

After naming the Magic-Dampening Flame, Lynn eagerly experimented with it in the training ground. 

This flame could suppress nearby magic power, making it ideal for creating a magic-suppressing barrier. Lynn envisioned its potential to seal the magic power of wizards within its expansive reach.
