Chapter 2

Waking up gasping for air, he feels like he just woke up from a nightmare.

Yelling for his mom, he only gets no response.

"Al-Alright." Getting out of his bed, he feels something fluctuate near him.

Checking the weird feeling, he opens the door to the hallway only to see his mom's dead body.

Crouching down, he automatically tries to wake up his already deceased mom, only to no avail.

"Mom.. please.. please wake up." Grasping her body and shaking it. The only thing coming from him is his crying.

May 19th, 1988.

Shaking at his mother's funeral, the only thing he does is cry.

"Who is going to take care of him?"

"I swear, why did she take in that child?"

Despite all the talking, there is a couple in the back of the church.

"That child is a magician, ain't he Marcus? When did he fully become one?"

"He's a powerful one at that. The magic he has already surfaced is on par with 13-year-old children in magical power."

"You think we should take over his caring? I feel like we owe this to the child and Maria. She did get attacked by a witch or wizard."

"That is true, and from what I can tell, the family doesn't want the burden of him... just like us twins, huh."

The two siblings begin to walk toward the child.

"Uncle, Aunty..."

Crying, the kid goes into their arms.

"It'll be okay." the man says. Rubbing his back, the woman tells him about some arrangements they have planned.

After finalizing the documents, the child lives with his aunt and uncle. After lots of legal trouble, they finally live together.

The only weird thing is that his room constantly dips below freezing at night.

His aunt says some weird spell while waving around a stick, and the room becomes normal.

His uncle is just as weird as the two. He sometimes walks to the child and tells him to avoid certain things on certain days, almost like he can see the future.
