"$60,000!" Xhaiden's voice echoed in the room as he looked at the confused beauty standing in front of him.
"What?" she asked, blinking her deep blue eyes at him, making his initial annoyance melt immediately.
Xhaiden took a step forward to see her take one backwards, he bent his head to have a better look at her, "drop the acting, Giselle" he said, playing with the long curls of her dark blonde hair.
"you made me waste $600,000 on that necklace—"
"I returned it," she started, "it was too expensive—"
"That should be my problem, don't you think?" his voice was so calm that Giselle couldn't help but wish his lips could reach out to hers, she could just ask but....no, Xhaiden's teasing will embarrass her to death.
"I'll ask the store to return it back to you"
Giselle slowly shook her head and saw the display of confusion on his face.
"you don't want it?" she shook her head again.
Xhaiden sighed as he continue to stare at her. Who would have thought that he—Xhaiden Osgard, the cold and breathtakingly gorgeous billionaire CEO would, in this lifetime actually 'ask' a woman to accept his gift, his gift of $600,000?? since when has he ever spent that much on a woman?
Tilting her chin up, he asked frustratingly, "Giselle, what have you done to me?"
He watched as she gave one of her bewitching smiles to him, "I'm not doing anything, though" she said.
But Xhaiden wasn't so sure about that. Giselle was doing something to him and he didn't know what, but whatever it was—it felt like something he had never experienced before.
"Would you like to have a date with me?"
Giselle eyes opened in shock, "Since when did Xhaiden Osgard ask someone on a date?"
Xhaiden shook his head, he really didn't know.
