reset II

"I already agreed, am a man of my word" nic said as he was uncomfortable with author who was right infront of him.

author was relieved to hear these words from nic and let go of his shoulders and took a step back.

"child have you ever encountered anyone with the gift to regenerate?"

"no, but I have read books of this gift, they say those that are rank-S with this gift are unable to die"

"you are really knowledgeable indeed" author said as the eyes on the fox mask curved to make that of and upside down crescent.

"this is a very hard gift to deal with for some, as no matter what you do to the one that owns this gift it is almost as if you did not do anything at all, you can burn them, cut them, even tear their bodies apart and they would heal back to perfect condition"

"but what does this have to do with me?" nic already knew all about this, although it was not a gift commonly found it was one that many wished they had, to be able to heal yourself and regrow limbs is very handy in battle.

"you have this ability" author voice echoed in his mind in a serious tone.

"what do you mea...." but before nic could finish he started to see the image of author was slowly fading.

"well I guess my time is up, their is a limit of how long my mind chain can last without physical contact, I would be leaving now, dont forget to come and find me" he said as he was now completely faded out of Nics mind.

"Shit!, you call yourself a master, you didn't even finish explaining" nic stamped his feet as he was upset that author left without finishing his explanation.

nic then looked towards the image that was repeating the same thing as before, "I have the ability to regenerate, but how?" nic mumbled.

he then opened his eyes as he had no other reason to be inside of his gift space, author had already left and he could not have figured out how to use the ability of reset.

but as soon as he opened his eyes he was meet with the gaze of mion.

"good your awake, their is somethings I want to talk about" mion said as he watched nic who was looking at him coldly.

"why not speak here?"

mion face became serious as he then glanced at the girl that was fast asleep on nic lap before turning his gaze back to nic.

"she is asleep and no matter if she wasn't I doubt she would care as to what you have to say"

mion then realized what nic said was true, as she was no more than a little girl, but he simply could not trust elves.

"their is a bunch of things I want to ask but I would only ask the most important, and that is where are we?" mion then choose to ignore the sleeping girl.

"sorry but I cannot even answer that myself, I woke up here after defeating the beastmen that were after us"

mion was not pleased with this answer as this meant that they were lost.

"dont worry though I know the way to get out of here" nic said as he seen that mion face showed that sadness.

but even after hearing this news his face remained the same.

"nic do you think you can defeat a knight?" mion looked nic in the eyes as he spoke.

"honestly am not to sure, argus did not take us seriously that's why we lived, and it was two versus one, and in the end I wasn't even in control of my body and was half way to death's door"

"then we can't save dona then" tears build up in his eyes as he spoke.

hearing this nic finally understood why he was sad, mion blamed himself for not saving dona, and was now looking for a way to save her, he had already taking author as someone on the knights level.

but nic had already made a deal with author, although he did not trust author, he still wanted to believe that he would let dona go.

but suddenly an idea came to nic, he grabbed onto mion's shoulders who jumped by nic's sudden action, he saw that of a big smile on nic face that went from cheek to cheek.

"hit me"

"huh!?"

mion was confused as he was not sure as to what he just heard or if it was his mind playing tricks on him.

"I said to hit me" nic said with the big smile still present on his face.

"hit you?, why?"

"just do it!"

mion was confused, but this was what nic wanted and he never once had the opportunity to make a hit on nic body, so he took the opportunity.

he then folded his hand into a fist and gave a playful punch.

"no you dumbass!, I mean with all of your strength"

"dumbass?" mion was furious about what nic called him and a vain bulge on his forehead.

"alright I'll show you who the dumbass is"

mion hand bulged as he swing it towards nic.

"HOOVE OF REVENGE"

*CRACK*

the fist hit nic chest and broke three of his ribs, he then dropped of one knee and vomited out blood as he held his head down to the ground.

"shit are you ok?" mion said as he ran to nic side, "I thought you were going to dodge what the hell were you trying to do"

nic did not respond but had his eyes closed as if he was trying to focus on something.

nic then opened his eyes with a smile that frightened mion, "shit did my punch send him crazy, now how the hell am I going to save dona"

"RESET!" nic shouted.

mion was startled and looked at him, he was amazed not by what he was seeing but what he was hearing.

he started to hear the crackling of bones as they were coming back together, and nic was now slowly standing as if nothing had happened to him.

"what the hell"

"ohh so that's how it works, it is just like how I age myself but now am able to age my wounds back in time to the point of which they never existed" nic face flushed red with excitement.

"with this I can fight anything without having to worry about being injured, that means I can fight that old pig" nic thought, but suddenly he remembered how terrifying the monster was and changed his mind, "it would just be a one sided beat down no matter how many times I use reset, and it's still painful when being injured"

but as he was deep in thoughts he felt a chill under mions gaze, he was looking at nic like a child that spotted a new toy.

author here: I was very busy but I wrote alot of chapters to publish today am just reading them over and correcting mistakes, if you find any mistakes please tell me.
