Chapter 19

Training at Day in Day out was hell. Learning the techniques were somewhat easy thanks to perfect copy but making them second nature was hard work. Tobi and the others did not let up. They trained me until I drowned under all the knowledge I soaked up.

It was worth it however as I manage to learn how to prep for most of the recipes by Tuesday. I managed to keep up with the others when working.

It was worth as after a few days I was allowed to cook most of the recipes myself after Tobi gave the green light.

I even got my first paycheck. The feeling of making money was glorious. This continued through the rest of the school year and through summer.

I have made a lot of money. This was great. So much money.

Anyway high school was about to start and so my first day at Karasuno. Tommorow was the day.

" Oh Shoyo wake up and eat breakfast or you'll be late for school. "

" Coming Nii san. Just let me put my clothes and freshen up. "

As you can see it was a busy morning. Had to get up, take a bath and get ready for school while also remembering to eat breakfast since we have to bike down a mountain.

I biked down the mountain and headed towards Karasuno. When I arrived I took a moment to look at the entrance.

Okay I'm done time to get to class but before that sign up for the volleyball club. I headed towards the office to find out where I could sign up for the volleyball club.

When I opened the door I saw Takeda Ittetsu. I walked up to him and said,

" Hello. My name is Hinata Daiki and I'm here to sign up for the volleyball club. "

" Oh. Yes. Please sign here. " He said passing me a clipboard with a paper on it. I put my name down and handed it back.

" Thank you... Sorry but whats your name?"

" Oh that's right. I forget to mention. My name is Takeda Ittetsu. "

" Well then thank you Takeda san. I'll be leaving for class now. "

" Yes of course. Have a nice day. "

I then walk out the room and head to my classroom. I got put in class 1-A. When I got there I looked around for anyone I could recognise. I didn't find anyone. No matter I'll just wait the I go to the club.

After class ended I headed towards the gym. I was really excited so instead of walking once I got out of the classroom I ran all the way there.

Well that didn't really pay off as no one was there. The gym doors were open but no one was there.

I decided to wait and just look around. Getting familiar with the gym I found some volleyballs.

' Well they might take a few minutes to get here. Might as well practice a bit. '

I took them out and did some serves.

While Daiki was inside there were two people outside.

" Listen Ryu. I know him. I feel like giving him a nice hello do want to help me. "

" Hmm. Sure man let's do it. "

The two had smiles on their faces. This was Nishinoya and Tanaka Ryunosuke.

"Alright the plan is for you to go in and act as a second year to scare him. Got it."

" Roger. "

Tanaka then headed inside towards Daiki.

" Hey you. What are you doing here? " He asked with thug face.

Daiki turned his head to look at who spoke. ' Hmm it's Tanaka. '

" Oh why arnt you answering. Is this how you treat your seniors? "

" Oh sorry. Lost in thought. As for your question I joined the volleyball club but no one's here yet so I decided to practice. "

" I see. "

" Can you question? "

" Hey go ahead. "

" You're first year arnt you? "

When Tanaka heard that he became nervous.

' There's no way he knows. Let's just keep going with the prank.'

" Oh what proof do you have that I'm not a first year. "

" Its quite simple. I saw you on my way to the gym. You are in class 1-C arnt you. The same class as my friend Nishinoya. "

' Shit he knows. '

" Yeah it was me. "Nishinoya says as he came into view.

" Finally you came out. " Daiki says.

" Sigh you're way to observant. "

" Hmm. Nice to see you dude. "

I turn to Tanaka and say, " Names Hinata Daiki. What's yours? "

" Tanaka Ryunosuke. "

" Tanaka huh. You're acting was excellent. "

" Wait really. It was good. "

" Yup. "

" Wow thanks dude. "

" Well since we have to wait for everyone to come , let's get to know each other. "

" Alright. " They respond.

We then proceeded to talk to each other. It was nice to meet them. I learned a few things that wasn't said in the anime or manga as well. As we were talking the door opened and a old man came in with people behind him.

" So this is where the rest of the first years are. " Someone said.

" It seems so. Well then since everyone's here let's introduce ourselves. I'll go first. My name Ukai Ikkei. I'm the coach for Karasuno. "

' Well this is surprising. Looks like I'll be able train under him. This is exciting. ' Daiki thought.

" Alright third and second years introduce yourselves. "

" Alright I'll introduce myself. My is Sawamura Daichi and I'm vice captain. " He then proceed to point at someone, " This is Kurokawa Hiroki our captain. " He then pointed at someone near the door, " And that's Shimizu Kiyoko. "

" My name is Sugawara Koshi. "

" My name is Azumane Asahi. "

Hiroki was the silent type. He didn't say much. The others were almost the same. There looks where mostly the same. Except Asahi since he didn't fully grow his goatee.

" Alright. It's time for the first years to introduce themselves. "

" My name is Nishinoya Yu. "

" My name is Tanaka Ryunosuke. "

" My name is Ennoshita Chikara. "

" My name is Kinoshita Hisashi. "

" My name is Kazuhito Narita. "

" My name is Hinata Daiki. "

" Alright. Since everyone here we will be having a practice match. It will be a four on four match.

One team will have Sugawara, Tanaka, Nishinoya and Kazuhito.

The other team will be Daichi, Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Hinata.

Understood. "

" Yes coach. "

" Good get ready. Third and second years come here. "

They went over to him.

" In sure you remember what do to do right. "

" Yes sir. "

" Good. Now go. "

They then left. Coach took a look at Daiki.

' Hmm I saw his matches when he was in middle school. I didn't expect him to come here. '

" Hey Takeda do have the list of who is joining the club. " Daichi asked.

" Oh yes I do. Here you go. "

" Thank you. "

" So who joined this year. Did we get anyone good? "

" Hmm who knows " Coach Ukai thought.

" Actually we do. " Daichi said with a excited smile." Take a look. "

" Hmm let's the name of the new member is HINATA DAIKI!"

" Wait you mean the ' Eyes of the Court' . "Asahi asked.

" Yep the very same. "

" Really let me see. " Coach looked at the paper. He then sported out a devilish grin. " Hmm it seems this year will be fun. "

" Daichi what do you think? " Suga asked.

" Hmm I think we will go to nationals this year. He will undoubtingly be a pillar for Karasuno. "

" Your right. This boy has a lot of potential. But isn't only him. There's also Nishinoya Yu from Chidoriyama. " Coach said. " To test them we will have a practice match. This way we will be able to know their current skill level. Once done I'll make the training regement.

Let's see how skilled they are. "
