Chapter 17

The next day after Tendous ' visit ' Ms Yama fulfilled her claim on making my double the work. I died that day. My whole body was in pain. But since they can't cry for real by brain decided to fulfil their wish and made me cry while I was laying on the floor of the gym unable to move. My teammates tried to cheer me up but I just continued to cry while thinking about my existential dread.

Anyway the tournament was coming up and our first round oppenent was decided. It was Chidoriyama. Looks like I get to face Nishinoya for the last time in middle school. This will be fun.

" So captain we will be facing Chidoriyama first. What's the plan? " Leyfa asked.

" Hmm. Oh the plan for them is to make it a slow game. In the first we will take our time to lay down our plan. To make sure they don't catch on we will attack them with fast attacks and confuse them with our synchronised attacks. "I say with sadness in my voice.

" Okay but why are you sad?? "

" Sigh. It's because all the more powerful players have gone to high school. The player who I'm excited to play against is Yu Nishinoya from Chidoriyama. " I say in a calm voice.

" But that's our first round oppenent meaning that there arnt any interesting people this year who can crush with all my strength. " I say with a sad look on my face with a few tears.

" Seroiously. " Leyfa says with a ' is he serious' on his face as he looks at the other players. They don't answer him.

" Anyway there's no use crying over this. L3ts just go win this tournament. I need something to do to pass the time until I can go to high school. "I say as I look at my phone.

" What's wrong with him? "

" It's best if you don't question his sanity. Right now it's more tame. Last year a sempai of mine was with him and they would create chaos all day. "Totsubo says.

" Totsubo shut up. We don't speak about that here. You'll be breaking our code. " Aomine says." Anyway we don't speak about it here so."

" Basically what happened is they did pranks. One time is when they switched the shampoo with hair dye. They had different hair colours."Shoyo explained.

" Wait seriously. "

" Yes here's the photo. " Shoyo says as he took out his phone and showed him the photo.

" Phhhhhh" Leyfa was struggling to hold in his laughter. In the photo it showed Totsubo with green hair and Aomine with red hair.The rest of the team had different hair colours as well.

" Shoyo you traitor. "

" What do mean sempai? I never had to follow the code since I never took the oath. Which means I'm not a traitor. " Shoyo says with an innocent smile.

" Your brother put you up to do this didn't he. "

" I also got tips from Tendou sempai on what to do. "

" I see. Run. " Aomine said while cracking his knuckles.

" Yes sir. " Shoyo saluted before bolting out the door.

Right now I was at home reading before the door opened and I saw Shoyo.

" So how did it go. "

" It was great. Trolling people is really fun. "

" See I told you. Welcome you to the dark side Shoyo. Now then time to continue your lessons in the art of pranking and trolling.Are you ready young padawon "

" Yes master. "

" Good. let us begin. "

So the rest of the day I taught Shoyo in the dark arts and he managed to improve a bit. Seems I must make him work harder. Time to start training.

It was now time for our first match against Chidoriyama. We headed to the court to warm up. While warming up I decided to go greet Nishinoya.

" Yo Nishinoya. What's up man?" I asked while holding my arms up in the air for a high five.

Nishinoya saw me and we high fived. " Nothing much. Oh yeah by the way which high school are going to choose. "

" I'm going to Karasuno. "

" Seriously I'm thinking of going there to. Whats your reason for choosing that school. "

" First is the ability to start from the bottom and rise up to crush everyone. " I say with a evil grin on my face.

" Well I can't stop you there. I want to fight against other strong oppentents to. But that's not my main reason. " He says with a serious look on his face.

" Yeah there's something that's almost equally important. "I say with the same face.

" The uniforms. " We say at the same time with smiles on our faces.

" Looks like we have the same idea. "

" That's true. After this match we will soon be teammates. "

" Yes. Well good luck. "

" You too. "

We then both walk towards our teams.

Teiko serves first with Daiki up to serve. He points at Nishinoya. Nishinoya sees this and grins. Daiki grins right back. The whistle is blown and Daiki uses his power serve. It goes straight in the middle of Nishinoya passing him getting the point for Teiko.

Daiki looks at Nishinoya and gives him a excited grin. Nishinoya returns it with a grin of his own. The true match was starting.

Daiki got the ball again and served it. He managed to get 6 service aces in a row before Nishinoya managed to receive it.

" Hell yeah!! Finally!!"

The ball went into the air to their setter who sent the ball to one of their middle blockers who spiked the ball. It went to Aomine who received it.

For the next few rounds until the score was 11 to 6 in Teikos favor Teiko played a slow game. This gave enough time for Daiki to get enough data on the team.

' Its time. '

The ball went to Daiki and he sent the ball to Shoyo who sent the ball in between 2 receivers. The other team was in shock. It happened in a split second and no one noticed.

Teikos plan come to life. Daiki lead his team to victory. He sent tosses to his teammates to get the job done. They made it possible. His team also took advantage of the plan. The other teams attacks were predictable which gave birth to multiple blocks and receives. The first set went to Teiko.

The second set went the same way. Teiko was in the lead most of the time. Shoyo and Daiki quick completely destroyed their defence. Totsubo and Aomine kept the ball up and managed to get through the blocks with force or with block outs. Leyfa also did his best. He could read moat of the attacks but with the plan the reads became easier allowing him to get the ball up easily. Santa's blocks kept shutting down the opposition.Niahinoya kept saving many spikes but his team wernt able to utilise them.

The match ended with Teiko winning.

" Sigh. Your really strong. " Nishinoya says to Daiki.

" So are you. I look forward to working with you in high school. "

" Same here. "

With that the first round ended.
