Chapter 10

It was now time to face Seirin. I got up in the morning and did my routine. I wake up Shoyo and told him to get ready. I then start to prepare breakfast. The meal I'm making is a souffle omellete.

The one I am making uses three ingredients. I just need eggs and salt to make the batter. I took out 3 eggs, cracked them open and put them in a bowl. I added a bit of salt then started stirring with my mixer. I waited until the batter looked soft and fluffy like a cloud. Once done I took out a pan and put it on the stove. I melted butter on top of it before adding all of the batter to the pan. I covered it before starting to make another batch.

After waiting till the omellete inflated in the pan by taking off the lid every 2 minutes till it got the right consistency I removed it f4om the pan and folded it. Do you remember Soma omellete from the training camp? This is the exact same thing. I tested it with a spoon and it jiggles while hitting it makes the spoon spring back. It's so satisfying.

It tasted delicious. I had made enough for me and my family. They all had happy faces as if they were sleeping on a fluffy cloud.

Me and Shoyo then left the house to head to school. Once we got there the team then went to the stadium for our match. There we did our regular routine. The match was about to start.Teikos serve.

I decided to start with a bang so I used a jump serve to send the ball to the Seirins far bottom left corner.

" No touch ace !!!!" Tendou yells while pointing at me. " One more time. " Tendou says as he gives me the ball.

" Roger that captain."

I use a jump floater serve to hit the top of the net and it fell over to the other side to get another point.

I set it to Shoyo who spiked the ball to the ground to get the point. The plan was going perfectly.

Observation hakibis very useful for setting. I can use it so that while I misdirect the oppenent I can set it the correct person without even looking. It also helps in making predictions for blocking or when to use setter dumps.

Anyway with the plan in motion we were able to win our first set. Block outs were very useful in getting points while using Tendou blocks to add on pressure.

This continues in the second half. This time we used attacks. Fast attacks, time delayed attacks and others. With the plan in motion we were free to attack.

We bombarded them and won the second set.

After the match I went to observe our next oppenent in the quarter finals and it ended up being Chidoriyama. Their offence has improved a lot. Nishinoya and others kept up the defence. However I noticed that the setter sets to the player with different positions for his body. The players also help as they have habits before they go up to spike. I formulated my plan and headed back.

Once there I explained them the plan.

We headed onto the court. I was doing my routine when I heard someone calling me.

" To Daiki what's up??!!" Nishinoya yells while having his hands up. I high five him before saying.

" Nothing much. Looks we will have our rematch. "

" He'll yeah I will beat you this time. "

" Hey let's see you try."

"Nii san who is he? "

" Oh Shoyo. This is Yu Nishinoya the libero for Chidoriyama. Nishinoya this is Hinata Shoyo my younger brother. "

" Yo nice Shoyo. "

" Nice to meet you to Nishinoya. "

We ended up having a conversation about food. Food is life.

The whistle then blew meaning it was time for the match to start.

" Well it seems we have end the conversation."

" Seems so. May the best team win. "

" May the best team win. "

After the coin toss Teikos favor the match began.

Daiki served the ball with a spin moving towards to the wing spiker on there bottom right corner. He couldn't move the ball up so we ended up getting the point.

' Damn that serve was nasty' Nishinoya thought.

Daiki then made it seem he was going for a jump serve. Chidoriyama fell for it so he used the jump floater at the last second. However before it fell Nishinoya rushed in to save the ball.

' He got it up. ' Thought Daiki with a smile on his face.

Their setter sent the ball to there wing spiker. Once he it hit the ball fell to floor on there side as Shoyo came out of now where to block the ball.

' He's so short I didn't see him coming. '

The score was 16 to 10 Teiko in the lead. Aomine serves the ball and it's received by Nishinoya. The ball heads to their setter who send the ball at me. I then sent to Tendou with a high set. Tendou jumps to slam the ball down. The blockers came to deny the ball but Tendou then sent the ball to me. It was a high set so I took my time before spiking the ball in between two players. They couldn't stop the ball so it gave us the point.

' He sent the ball to the setter when he couldn't get the ball past the blocks. 'The middle blocker thought.

It was now match point in Teikos favor. The plan went well and Teiko is now at match point. However it wasn't easy Nishinoya kept saving spikes giving more chances for a turnaround.

Daiki was up to serve.

' Alright focus focus. ' Nishinoya thought.

Daiki let the ball into the air and used a jump serve to send it towards to bottom left corner of Chidoriyama side. Nishinoya was there guarding the space. He saw the ball coming so he got in front of it. However when the touched his arms it bounced to the right side of him.

' The spin!!! '

The ball fell to the ground.

" Nice serve Nii san "

" Nice serve Dai chan " Tendou says as he came up to Daiki with his arms raised. Daiki high fives him.

" Thanks "Daiki responds. " For the second set we will keep going like this. Let's win we still have to get revenge on Oiwa chan for the loss we had last year. "

" Ohh that's so true. "

The second set had already started and so for Teikos plan was working.

Daiki was up to serve. Once the whistle blew he went and used a jump floater. It headed to Nishinoya who tried to receive it but it slipped out of his fingers. The point went to Teiko.

Daiki then used the most out of his serves. His body position was used to fool the openents before switching his serve.

Teiko was in the lead.

" Damn those are some nasty serves. " Nishinoya said.

It was now match point. Teiko was up to serve. Aomine sent the ball to Chidoriyama where Nishinoya received it. The ball went to there setter who sent it to their ace. He spiked the ball but Kagame received it. The ball went to Daiki who then sent the ball to Shoyo.

Before that happened blockers came in front of Shoyo. Shoyo looked at the blockers and aimed his shot at one of the blockers hands. The ball hit the blockers hands and went outside the court where they wernt able to reach it.Teiko had won.

' Damn. Another loss. ' Nishinoya thought. ' They are to good. ', while looking at Teiko.

Daiki felt his stare so he headed to him. Once he got there he held up his hand.

" Let's play again next year. "

" Heh that's a givin. By the way make sure to win the tournament. " As he shook Daiki hand.

" That was a givin. "

With that said they left the court.

Teiko then headed to the gym for there regular meeting.

" Alright listen up. Our semi finals oppenent will be Kitagawa Daichii. " Ms Yama said. " They beat us last time so this our chance for revenge.Daiki tell us your plan. "

I explained them the plan. I took into account of multiple habits for this plan.

After finishing we all headed home to prepare for tommorow match.
