Chapter 45

Hadrian and Alexander arrived in Corvinus castle.

The Corvinus Castle, in the shadowy crypt was the slowly beating heart of the coven. The cavernous stone mausoleum was built into one side of the castle, buried halfway beneath the ground. Granite ribs supported the high domed ceiling. Flickering torches sputtered in their sconces. Green stained-glass windows occupied recessed niches in the upper tiers of the walls. Granite steps led down to the sunken lower level, where three burnished bronze disks were embedded in the marble floor. A concentric pattern of overlapping Celtic runes surrounded the circular hatches, each of which was engraved with a single letter: A for Amelia, M for Marcus, and V for Viktor.

There was some members who were considered coucilmen,Marcus had some allies among them were Coloman and Orsova,they were among the few who supported Marcus and knew the truth that Marcus was progenitor of the entire Vampire species.

Marcus was having huge fight with Amelia and Viktor, when a guard barged through the door causing them to stop.

Viktor was enraged and glaring at the guard yelled"You dare barge into our meeting."

Viktor radiates absolute power and control as the lowly vampire guard was trembling, he knelt on the ground, and spoke up"I am sorry, their is group that wants to best Lord Marcus, one of them said he is Lord Marcus's father and the other is named Hadrian Peverell."

Marcus's eyes widened and he immediately said"Let them in and make sure to treat them with respect.Also do not anger the person named Hadrian."

Amelia and Viktor recognized the name Alexander Corvinus, who was Marcus and Williams father and who they considered to be the first Immortal.But the other one was a complete mystery to them.

Viktor seeing Marcus so nervous sneered and questioned"Might I ask, who is this mortal, Hadrian is?

Marcus respected Hadrian very much and seeing Viktors attitude yelled at him"Do not disrespect him in my presence, Viktor"

Surprising Viktor, while Amelia could tell this person was someone Marcus feared and respected far more than his own father.So being curious asked"Who is this person?"

Marcus rolled his eyes at Viktor and replied to Amelia"That person is no Mortal, he is a true immortal unlike any of us.He is older than my father and has power to raze this castle to ground and even an army won't be enough to stop him."

This shocked both of them and Viktor in disbelief scoffed saying"That's impossible, we have an army of immortals at out command?"

Marcus waved it off and said"He has army 10 times out size with better weapons and armor, also if you are discounting our restriction because of the sun."

While Amelia could tell Marcus is being truthful, but Viktor was still in denial about this.

So once again Amelia questioned"So why didn't't they help us with your brothers capture?"

Marcus looked at Amelia and asked"Who said they didn't, Wiliam werewolf hordes were restricted to the Hungarian borders because of my brother and he was the one who gave information about William whereabouts everytime."

Viktor was about to make a snide comment about Hadrian fearing William, but Marcus cut in"No, Hadrian doesn't fear William it is the opposite.It is William, who fears Hadrian even at young age William feared Hadrian.If you didn't see the pattern how William never went to the area in North- West borders is mainly because Hadrian is stationed their and William even in rabid werewolf state seemed to have the in built fear for him and that sense made him escape everytime Hadrian was anywhere near."

Marcus himself seen this first hand, while Viktor and Amelia was shocked.

Amelia was wondering what kind of monster this Hadrian is which caused a rabid beast like William to have a in built fear for him.

But Viktor convinced himself this was Marcus's ploy to getting William back.
