WHAT A VIXEN

"Listen to me Kiaraa, even the coldest iceberg will melt one day under the burning heat of the sun" and Kiaraa nodded, imagining the so-called iceberg becoming warm.

'Iceberg dude suddenly shows her a warm smile'

'Iceberg dude talks to her nicely without using a cold tone'

'Iceberg dude watching a sunset with a small smile spread across his lips'

She shivered at all these thoughts. In as much as she pictured him doing all those things, it still felt foreign in her head as if it was photo edited and she couldn't help but curse the editor for such a poor job.

"Kiaraa we're here" she quickly snapped out of her gaze and looked at the window only to see the gates of the Lee family mansion. She looked up at Aera before nodding her thanks.

"Thank you my princess charming," she said warmly and Aera smiled.

"You're welcome. Now go home and don't come out of these gates till you are ready to go back to Austin and make sure that... "

She couldn't complete her statement when she was interrupted by her ringing phone.

"Yes? hello... No..... hold on I'm busy... how urgent is it?.... No... just speak"

Kiaraa glanced at her before waving goodbye and alighted from the car. She entered the vast land of the Lee Mansion after passing through various security.

Once she finally stepped inside, she still had to walk for fifteen minutes before reaching the mansion. She sighed heavily as the wet clothes still clung to her body like glue.

'When I get back, I'll just have a bath and eat before heading to Austin immediately. Who knows if they'll want to attack me at my very own house.' she thought.

When she finally got to the front of the mansion, she could make out her family standing in the doorway. From their expressions, she knew that they must have found out about the accident. Her father was still with an aloof and cold expression as always, her mother had a tear-stricken face with red, swollen eyes, and Arin.....

She didn't have the time to process her thoughts when she was suddenly pushed backward by a strong force.

Arin had pounced on her and hugged her tightly and she felt like all the air will soon be drawn out of her lungs.

"Arin let go, I'm wet" Kiaraa muttered softly.

"Are you crazy? Where have you been? Are you hurt? Should we call the doctor?"

Arin queried her the moment she broke their hug. She couldn't even get herself together when she was suddenly enveloped by another hug but this time it was from her mother.

"Other than the two near-death experiences that I just escaped from, I'm sure this one would kill me for sure. Since when do you guys turn to superman, possessing such great strength in those tiny hands" she said through clenched teeth and eyed them.

Her mother immediately let her go and she let out a sigh of relief.

"Mom, Arin...." she immediately started the reassuring lecture.

"I'm perfectly fine and I'm not harmed at all. Other than some few scrapes here and there, nothing else is wrong with me" she gave them a big smile to crown it all.

She finally looked towards her father and found him staring at her. She walked straight to him and paused.

"I hope you are finally satisfied now, father. Since my work here is done I'll be going to Austin tonight. But do me a favor, I don't want to see any of your men hovering around me in Austin. They can be there, fine, but make sure that I don't see them if not I'll send them back here with broken limbs" she paused "you know better than to not mess with me" she whispered the last statement to him so that only him could hear and the man just stared at her.

He didn't nod or acknowledge her request but she knew that he has gotten her message.

"Hey, Kiaraa how long are you going to spend in that bathroom" Arin shouted from the bedroom and Kiaraa frowned.

'What does she want now?' she asked herself and got out of the bathtub. She wrapped a towel around herself and walked out to glare at the culprit.

Arin was sitting by the window sill and the minute the door of the bathroom opened, she turned back and smiled. She walked toward Kiaraa with a glass of milk in her hands and stretched it towards her.

"Oh, it's so nice of you to get the maids to prepare this for me" Kiaraa muttered softly, her anger from earlier simply vanishing into thin air.

"I didn't get any maids to do it, I made it myself" Kiaraa whose hands were about to retrieve the glass from her hands paused.

"Mom's gonna kill you" Kiaraa whispered.

"Why?"

"Because you burnt her kitchen." and Arin laughed.

"The kitchen is still fine" Arin replied with confidence and Kiaraa stretched her hands to feel the temperature of the milk.

"Warm?" She asked and Arin nodded.

"How did you manage to boil water without blowing up the mansion?"

"I'm just setting an example for my younger sister" Arin replied and you could see the pride oozing from every inch of her body.

Who knew boiling water would turn out to be such a great accomplishment.

Kiaraa stretched her hands again to retrieve the glass when she paused halfway and narrowed her eyes.

"Say, Lili what do you want?" she folded her hands. There's no way her sister would do something as good as this without something in return. No matter how small it would be, even if it's helping you kill an ant, Arin always has a reason. She glanced at her sister suspiciously and her confidence irked her. She knew something was wrong but she couldn't pinpoint what it was.

Arin sighed, "Will you stop glaring at me like I'm some kind of thief. This is a one-time offer but if you aren't willing to accept it then fine, I'll just take my kindness and walk out of the door."

"Alright, I'll take it" Kiaraa gave up and Arin flashed a huge grin.

"Good, so tell me what happened at the Kim Mansion"

"I knew it, I knew you wanted something." she shot a daggered glare at her.

"It's not what you think Little sis, I was just worried about you," Arin said with a gentle smile and patted Kiaraa by the shoulder.

But Kiaraa wasn't buying any of it, she knew that gentle smile was fake and she wasn't going to give in so easily.

"I'm not telling you anything. The only thing you'll know is that I'm leaving this evening so you can take your milk and go out" she pointed towards the door.

Arin felt annoyed and smirked, "Fine then, since you aren't going to tell me, I won't bother you but you can keep the milk." She flipped her blonde hair and sashayed out of the room.

"Close the door behind you," Kiaraa said and what came next was a loud bang.

Kiaraa shrugged, at least she got to keep the milk. She rejoiced inwardly and took a sip of the milk, only to spit it out the next minute.

She rushed to the bathroom to wash her mouth and the word "disgust" was written all over her face.

"Yuk..., Holy crap!!! what the hell did Arin put in that milk? It's just simple milk and she couldn't even make it well. No wonder she left it with me" she gritted her teeth in anger.

"What a vixen."

Kiaraa cursed and the sister in question was in her bedroom sitting comfortably on her bed with legs crossed as she plucked a grape into her mouth with a satisfied smile.
