Li Shen frowned deeply and threw a hot gaze toward the person in front of him which only made his frown deeper. He cleared his throat to gain some attention but he still got nothing.

"Brother, aren't you pushing your luck?" He asked but the person in front of him never made any move to acknowledge his presence.

Crestfallen, he still went on. "How are you sure that she's the one?"

Silence...

"What if your father finds out? This whole thing would become messy."

Silence...

"Since you seem bored doing all this work, why don't you follow me to a party? I have invitations and I can't let them go to waste, the host will be so disappointed."

Silence...

"I heard Kia... " the temperature dropped and Li Shen gulped hard as cold sweat formed at the top of his head. "I mean miss L...sorry...sister-in-law is goi... Ugh, Never mind," he finally uttered and then kept his mouth shut looking at the stone-cold figure who treated him like thin air.

After what seemed like forever, Adrian finally raised his thick lashes and looked out of the floor-to-ceiling window. The sky was clear and the birds chased the clouds. He stared at the window for a long time as if trying to get an answer from them. After a while, he then directed his gaze towards the door and muttered.

"Come in," His voice remained cold and the door immediately flung open. A hefty man with a dark suit and shades walked in with a bluetooth speaker on his left ear.

"Young master, young miss has been spotted entering a restaurant," The man informed and Adrian nodded while he turned his gaze towards the window again. His eyes were calm and his silver hair was gelled backward with a single strand falling over his forehead. He didn't say another word but his countenance alone made the man speak.

"With a man..." the man spoke the last part hesitantly and held his breath preparing for whatever storm that was about to come and as expected the temperature of the room dropped drastically as Adrian sent icy cold glares towards the window which seems like it was going to break any moment due to the intensity of the stare.

Li Shen stared at the scene with amusement in his eyes. He was the least bothered about the situation as he studied his cousin's face, waiting for his next reaction.

The man finally found his cue to leave and then walked out of the room before he could freeze to death.

Li Shen clicked his tongue, "Brother, for someone you're not sure about you sure are..."

"She's the one," Adrian finally opened his mouth to speak with the glacier in his eyes melting just by thinking about her.

"How sure are you? Don't forget you were not meant to remember all this. The minute you let it out who knows what other dramatic event will occur in this century. I mean t..."

"Shen!!!" Adrian called out in a cold tone with clear warning and Li Shen gulped, fidgeting in his seat.

"I'll get the car ready," he spoke and stood up and walked out of the room with fastened pace, leaving the ice king to his kingdom.

Moments later, Li Shen hurried back as he panted dramatically and placed a hand on his chest as if he had just run a marathon.

"Brother, don't you think it's weird?" Li Shen asked watching Adrian as he worked on his laptop casually with eyes fixated on his screen. Large tapping sounds could be heard coming from the laptop and Li Shen rolled his eyes.

'If you want to drown in vinegar then at least do not destroy my new limited edition laptop.'

"What is it, Shen?" Adrian asked.

"That sister-in-law is giving away her location so easily. From what I heard, she has the ability to hide her location from anyone in the world." Li Shen remarked and Adrian finally looked up from the laptop, his gaze lingered on his desk for a while before he stood up abruptly and grabbed his suit jacket from the swivel chair.

"She's a fox," he commented and he rushed out of the door. Li Shen stood there on the spot, watching his brother's retreating figure with a small smile playing on his innocent face.

'I really can't believe that your high IQ dropped by three percent ever since you started chasing sister-in-law, it's so obvious that the man with her is her bodyguard but honestly speaking what is sister-in-law trying to do? Why is she giving out her location that easily?'

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

"...I'll do it"

"Nice decision miss Luo," Kiaraa remarked and nodded her head. "I'll leave the rest to my subordinates. As long as you are under my care, your safety is guaranteed so you have nothing to worry about."

The girl nodded, she stared at her so-called look alike for a while and she must admit, even though their features were similar in some aspects, Kiaraa was still a thousand time more beautiful.

She looked at the contract in front of her and picked up a pen to sign on it. After signing it, she looked up just to see Kiaraa fiddling with her phone as she bit her lips.

Kiaraa looked behind at her bodyguard and voiced out, "Are you sure he knows I'm here?" She asked and the bodyguard nodded.

She bit her lips again and looked down at her diamond-encrusted wristwatch. "Then why isn't he here yet." She muttered to herself and stared at the doors before Looking down at her phone again.

"Miss Lee, it's done." The girl spoke up and Kiaraa flashed her a heartwarming smile which only she knew how difficult it was to come up with such a smile.

"Thank you Luo Qingyi, you may leave."

Luo Qingyi stood up and walked out of the restaurant slowly as she clutched at her purse and fidgeted with the hem of her skirt.

The smile on Kiaraa's face immediately came to a halt. She stared down at her watch again and let out an exhausting smile.

She stood up from her seat and walked towards the door with her bodyguard who was dressed casually in order not to draw too much attention.

As she stepped towards the exit, the doors immediately opened and her face lit up with a smile.

'Just who I was waiting for,' She thought inwardly and her foxy instinct kicked in again.

Adrian walked into the restaurant and his sharp silver eyes immediately scanned the room until he spotted a pair of deep amber eyes staring at him with a hint of maliciousness hidden in them.

"Why are you giving away your location so easily?" he asked.

"Why are you always searching for me?" she countered back and the room grew silent. She made a signal with her hand and her bodyguard walked out of the restaurant.

Now that they were alone, she dropped her pretense and a huge, playful smile rose on her face.

She crossed her hands over her chest and stepped forward towards him. "Why are you here? A date?" She asked playfully but got silence as her reply instead. She didn't faze much about it as she was already used to his silent nature.

"Your silence means yes, so who is the unlucky girl?" She asked again and as expected there was no reply.

"Oh my!!!" she exclaimed dramatically, being close with the members of Ultraviolet has really influenced her greatly. "Don't tell me she stood you up?" She watched as his expression remained as stoic as ever as he just stared at her like she was a ghost he couldn't see.

"She must have been scared," she whispered to herself and looked up at him with a smile.

"Oh poor thing," she said casually and brushed her hand on his white suit jacket as if trying to comfort him. "Don't worry, since it's Saturday I'll accompany you to wherever you want to go, ok?" she smiled like an innocent kid and anyone seeing her would think she was just being thoughtful but this was Kim Adrian, if Kiaraa could fool anyone, she could never fool him.

"Again, your silence means yes, so I'll accompany you. Just take it as my compensation for you saving me the other night at the ball, ok?"

A small smile rose unto his red, sexy lips and Kiaraa was thrown into a daze for a moment.

"You'll need more than a date to compensate me Kiaraa," he remarked in a soft tone as he raised his hands to gently brush an unruly strand of hair away from her face.

As he did that, his hands accidentally touched the skin on her forehead and her body shook involuntary. She held in a sharp breath and quickly closed her eyes.

Adrian stared at the girl in front of him for a long time. The icy glares that always comes out from his sharp silver eyes had melted and his eyes held a warmth that no one could decipher.

"Why did you do it?" his voice came out barely above a whisper and that's when her eyes snapped open.

'How does he know?...'
