Fang Chi and Ye Liu did not go too far in the mountains. They only wanted to bring some fertile soil for their vegetable patch and rose garden. If possible they wanted to hunt a pheasant or two as well. Even though they had a daily supply of chicken and meat, the two mers sometimes missed the taste of roasted pheasant.
"Brother Liu, it's good here. The grass here is greener and the plants seem to be growing nicely as well. I think we can dig the soil from this plot of land," Fang Chi said to Ye Liu as he placed the bucket and turned to look at the mammies behind him. "Dig out the plants and place them on the cart, I and Brother Liu will scoop the soil in the buckets."
"Yes, Master Fang," the mammies nodded as they started digging the plants. Once they were gone, Ye Liu couldn't help but question, "Why do you need to dig fertile soil? With Dong Dong's presence, do you still need to do something so taxing?"
