How magic works

Every being is born with unique energy in them, one type of this energy is called mana, it's impossible to predict how much mana you will be born with, doesn't matter if you have a small or huge mana pool, it could be increased through meditation, constant battles, absorbing mana crystals or using artefacts as containers(batteries).

Mana is mainly used to cast different types of spells or miracles. When a person with mana or other energy reaches the age of 8 they feel a connection to one of the 4 main elements, which are fire, earth, water and wind. After their element is chosen they can develop it further or go by one of the multiple subclasses. By choosing a subclass, they get a variety of options from which they can choose, for example, if you are connected to an earth element you will be able to unlock mud, earth shielding or golem magic. However Just because you are connected to one of 4 primal elements doesn't mean that you can't learn other elemental magic.

Mages which are connected to the fire element will be able to learn earth and wind elements relatively easily however they will have a hard time learning water or ice, you can also meet elements like shadow, light, life, death, time, force and multiple other elements, however, they are quite rare and it will take a long time to master and develop.

Each spell that is created will have a ranking from 0 to 10, 0 being the weakest and usually referred to as Students/Apprentice magic. It's pretty ineffective or non-harmful to most enemies(apart from slime), for support mages it means that their magic can barely heal a cut, make a shield the size of the fist or apply a buff. level 1 magic usually means you pass the test and now can be considered a beginner, levels from 2 to 4 means you are a middle-class mage, 5 to 6 you are a high-level mage or also know as master, 7 to 8 Oracle, 9 Archimage and 10 is Apostle, this title is usually referred to mages who reached the limit and broke through in their element and at least one more element.

Examples of spells:

Level 0:

Mana block(creates a small magic shield, which at best will slow down kids punch)

Bleeding prevention (might close the small cut to prevent bleeding(for example a paper cut))

Brick Manifestation (Sounds magnificent but in reality simply creates a brick which can be "thrown" at somebody(literally… you just get a brick, sometimes it's easier to pick up a rock from the ground… Can be used for building though))

Cigar lighter(Make a small spark to light a cigar(Really useful, every mage know how to use this spell!))

Level 1:

Mana bullet: (Compresses mana to create a bullet which can bruise and push away an enemy " Sometimes wounds them")

Mana Elemental bullet: (The same thing as before but now has an "Element" in it and actually will wound and "kill somebody" ( Most of the time they die from hopelessness or dehydration or if your teammate decide to end their misery)

Simple Buff/Heal/Shield: (As the name says its skills are from level 0 but better and functional)

Level 2 to 4:

Multi-shot: (Can cast a spell which will strike multiple targets, however, the damage will be reduced(can be used for long-range attacks)

Swap: (Swaps place with teammate or object… Yeah that it, what more do you expect)

Level 5 to 6:

Multicast: (cast 2 or more spells at once for a huge amount of mana)

Level 10:

Let's skip this one

Artefacrt:

Artefacts can be used to cast spells momentarily, summon spirits, restore limbs or heal wounds. They can also act as extra mana sores and can be used by most mages from level 1. artefacts can have different shapes and some even process personalities, they can even adapt to specific users and shapeshifts. Depending on the artefact its price can be high or quite cheap, yet many adventurers ignore them and tend to spend their money on potions and supplies. After all, you can never predict when it can break or malfunction, however, they will be willing to sell it for a high price if they ever get their hands on one.
