Untold Truth Part 2

Shura felt a strange emotion in his heart. He nodded his head with a fearful expression as he perked up his ears.

Seeing his grandson's curious and fearful expression, the old man found it funny. He wanted to laugh but he didn't.

"After giving birth to you, your mother realized the side effects of the seal which only made your father even more anxious."

"He tried using his Sealing Magic to seal those side effects but it didn't work. Slowly, her lifespan started burning faster."

"Without even a second of hesitation, your father finally decided to use something that he had been working on for a long time together with the seal that we used to seal our enemy."

"This sealing technique was called 'Eternal Prison'. It was an extremely formidable sealing technique that completely seals off space and time inside a small orb."

"He decided to seal off his wife inside that orb. It was a heavy decision since she would need to live with that curse for who knows how long or maybe even eternally."

"Normal people wouldn't have agreed. But, she did. Do you know why?"

When the old man asked, Shura shook his head. He didn't know why would she agree to such a technique when there was no guarantee of freeing her again and removing that curse in the future.

The old man sighed once again and said.

"Your mother was extraordinary from birth. She came out of an ordinary family but her magic power and mana were so amazing that she rose like a phoenix."

"Her Time Magic was extremely formidable and maybe the strongest type of Magic as well. So, she was the best talent in the entire world. It was so amazing that people even called her the Hope of the World."

"They were almost sure that she would save the world from Sanctuary one day. But, this also put a lot of pressure on her growth. It was so hard for her to live the life that she wanted."

"She didn't want to live up to someone's expectations but she had no choice. Her life wasn't hers but rather the life of humanity. She thought if she slacks even a little bit, she would disappoint the entire world."

"This also made her feel extremely proud and she allowed no one to win against her. And, no one did until."

When he said that, the old man had a proud expression on his face.

"Until my father defeated her." But before he could say, Shura murmured.

The old man paused for a moment and asked.

"It sounds like stories in those books, doesn't it?"

Shura nodded his head.

"Well, what can I say? They even copied my son's life into their books."

The old man said with a proud face not caring about the fact that those books were published way before his son was even born.

"Anyway, after he defeated her, your mother slowly started to change. She began to accept her true dream and slowly fell in love with your father."

"And, her dream was quite ordinary. She just wanted to be the wife of a loyal and loving man and mother to a child. She just wanted to live an ordinary life."

"She didn't want to die before accomplishing her dream. So, she decided to live in pain. Of course, she also believed in your father. After all, he was the only person who managed to defeat her."

"After sealing her inside that orb, your father made two of the biggest decisions of his life. The first was to completely erase his family."

Hearing his words, Shura asked in confusion.

"What does that mean?"

"He directly erased the data and information about our family from the world. He also sealed the memories of our people and made them scatter throughout the world."

"From that day onward, our Nor Family disappeared completely from the surface of the world. From that day onward, you were no longer Shura Nor, but just Shura."

"And, his second decision was to enter Lv.99 Sanctuary."

"What?" Shura screamed in shock. He shook his head vigorously and said.

"No, impossible, it is impossible to enter Lv.99 Sanctuary. There is no news about anyone entering Lv.99 Sanctuary."

"That's because he didn't enter that place with a simple method. He had to use unconventional methods. He believed that the answer to releasing your mother's curse was in Lv.99 Sanctuary."

"It has been eighteen years."

After that, he no longer spoke. Shura also fell in silence for a long time before he finally asked.

"What's their name?"

Even now, he had no idea about their names.

"Nor Diablo and Nor Juri. Because your mother married your father, she changed her surname as well. But before that, she was known as 'Juri the Hope'."

For some reason when he heard the name of his parents, he felt relieved and even more proud, especially after hearing his mother's name.

But at the same time, he couldn't help but ask.

"So, what does that have anything to do with your lifespan?"

Hearing his words, Shura clenched his hands. He still remembered the day when his grandfather was covered in blood.

That was the most horrifying day of his life.

"Yes, that was the day when I fought one of the most powerful people under that guy. As time went on, my strength regressed a lot. I didn't expect to get injured like that but I also knew that I couldn't let that man escape."

"So, even at the cost of injuries, I killed him."

"Is that why?"

Shura's voice turned hoarse as he asked.

The old man shook his head.

"Although I got injured, I could still live on with meds. But, what would happen to you if I die?"

Shura froze for a moment. At this moment, the memories of his grandfather training him appeared.

"That's why I trained you so hard. I believed that I would able to help you get stronger with hard work but it turned out I was simply just foolish."

"No matter how hard you worked, there were things that you couldn't accomplish especially with such a low mana and no awakened magic power."

"But, I didn't want you to die."

The old man clenched his fist.

"Time and time again, that bastard kept pestering my family. I made an oath that I will solve him in my lifetime. And, so I worked with my son to create that seal which can seal him eternally."

"But, even that didn't work and made my daughter-in-law suffer. I promised them that I would protect you until he returns but after that battle, I realized that I wouldn't be able to fulfill my promise."

"So, I had to find an alternative."

At this moment, he slowly took out a strange golden box in his palm.

"Drop your blood on it!" He looked at Shura with a serious gaze and asked.

Shura felt a lot of expectation from that gaze. He clenched his fist and finally decided to follow his grandfather's advice. He opened his fist and bit his finger before putting it above the box.

His blood dropped on the box from his finger and suddenly, the entire room was covered in golden energy.

The box turned into a strange armor and covered Shura's body, slowly integrating into his body. It started disappearing or rather merging with him on a cellular level.

Shura's mind was completely blank through the entire process. Only after it was finished, he finally manage to come out of his blank expression.

He looked at his grandfather with a confused look.

"Your father sent a strange treasure from Lv.99 Sanctuary nearly five years ago. This treasure was so amazing that it could make the entire world go crazy. Even I haven't completely studied it."

"But, I did manage to modify it a bit and made it easier for you to use. You might not have the mana but you were born with those two magics. I believe with this treasure, one day, you will be able to awaken your full potential."

Slowly, his eyelids started closing.

"Gramps!"

Shura shouted in shock and misery.

The old man puts a bright smile on his face as he continues speaking.

"Shura, this is the last thing I can do for you. Live well and find your parents. Don't live in regret like me! Do what your heart asks you to do."

"I will be watching you for the heaven."

As he said, the old man slowly lost all of his breath and finally passed out.
