This isn't your typical forest [1]

[M.O.S.E Pottrous branch]

Many things have been affected by the newly awakened convict known by his name Garry Kettle a boy of noble birth. Many cried for the loss of their catalyst and some begin to loathe the name of the Kettle family the few relieved of his escape. The people cried, and his family sighed in relief but the air around the department station in the land of Pottrous grew ever so furious

"Status report; The area forest near Desarteou was set ablaze by what we suspect as the newly awakened. The analysis group we dispatched collected a sample from the hottest place where we hypothesize a great explosion. June 18 approximately midnight is the fall of our eldest Catalyst a legend many would say when the group found this," The fella said and gave the only sample retrieved in his superior's reach

It was a burnt rounded chunk of metal that even the flames couldn't fully extinguish it's presence. Just one look was enough and the man who's ever so keeping his anger at bay grew furious. The sample was cracked in between his palms and he angrily orders his subordinate

"He dare broke a prize treasure!!? A tool that our ancestors had long crafted for our survival, to meet its end in his hands! Rally our members, the woodland they ran mustn't be that far! I need that fucker killed!"

Unbeknownst to the chief his command would lead to nowhere as not a single one of his members survive ever report Gofrick's arrival. He devised such a ruse in such a short amount of time by leading them on a wild chase for something that wasn't there. He eventually concluded to burn his victims so there won't be a difference even in his appearance and so they escape

"So that's how it happened... not only did my uncle send them off on a wild chase they're not even close! Even if they found it'll be too late, this forest is too distant, even with the fastest wagon you'll have to travel by a month. That's how incredible my uncle is, plus do you think they'll risk losing their lives just to get here? A forest inhabited by elves?"

Godfrey filled him in on the whole story once he awakens and he proceeds by eating and reading today's newspaper. "Oh look! They even mentioned the old hag's death in this newspaper. Guess she was somewhat famous if the mystical planes even publish her death,'

'Uncle said I should slowly make him feel welcome in this forest but how... exactly should I do that? I wasn't truly born a country boy that likes the modest life, I think that's why I wanted to be a merchant. But I can't escape his clutches, for everything he did he's making me do jackshit his supposed to do! So how am I going introduce him to my uncle, he might get scared so im at a pickle here, for what's it worth I think I'll believe him,'

His gaze slowly unravels into peak curiosity when he recalls the moment this ten-year-old had gone neck and neck with a monster

'If he is chosen then it wouldn't be hard to believe that at the age of ten, he killed someone as powerful as Elyra. I also notice something in the middle of their fight, when his awakening went loose by protecting his Butler his eyes brighten. I thought that was due to the rampage of his mana influenced by his rage but it's not. Umbler was a skilled fighter as they say and Garry had no fighting experience. So it's kind of odd that he manages to counter her, this boy... did his eyes memorized her moveset in such a short amount of time?'

"Godfrey are you deaf!? What's with you? I've been calling you for a while now. It looks like you're still bewildered that were all alive," Garry calmly admonished him before asking him about the utmost importance of his arrival, the message from his uncle

'Oh right... I only told him the time my uncle saved us, but I was given strict orders to never even mentioned he's a turtle. I know where he's coming from, who would act so normal with an anthropomorphic turtle it even brings me back to how I first reacted. I remembered I screamed like a little bitch and just by recalling that I recall uncle slapping me silly until I stopped,'

"So the thing is my uncle wants to know your price... this is the reason why you didn't wake up in his comfortable mansion. Don't get so worked up my uncle is strange, even with his blood relative. Because of that, he asked me for a little favor," Godfrey provided him with a letter from his pocket that originated from none other than his uncle

[Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to When this letter reaches you I am the savior that aided in your escape

My idiot nephew would've died if not for your assistance, but now that I treated your injuries and sent you to this forest I think we're even

Even if you didn't acquire money the life you've risked just to escape is yours to keep I won't threaten you to serve me

But just for you, I'll make an exception. You see I've been longing for a role to be filled for ages to come. Whether you fit that role is for me to decide

My nephew shall give you the rest of the information you'll need. Your only task is to find me, I devised a plan where you'll be given challenges by my nephew's crew. I wish you luck and may you enjoy your stay, sincerely Godrick Lane]

Once he finishes reading the letter Godfrey opens the door and they left for their journey ahead until. "Hold up! Where are the freaking stairs? I don't see anything, did you climb this place– Ahhhhhhh!"

Before he could ever grasp what Godfrey was thinking he jumped from the edge along with holding Garry's hand. Both went spiraling to the depths below and just when they were to reunite with the ground their bodies flew high above the air. He gazes back and saw what seems to be a gigantic shroom plump and springy at the moment his skin came feeling its touch

"Shroom bloom, that's our eco-friendly transportation, just give it a little friction and later you'll be flying. Pollen from the shroom blooms provides you to lessen your worry from ever falling. Since even if we don't will just bounce right back, the effects wear off after ten minutes, just follow my lead," Godfrey let goes of his grip and Garry was now left to fend for himself

"Godfrey!"

"Sorry buddy, but this is one of the challenges mentioned in the letter, since it's your first I won't do anything. Try regaining control of how you bounce, I won't even increase the speed, so best of luck. Just a heads up the pollens effect won't mean your end. In due time you'll slowly become less springy until you're just an inch below the ground," As he said those words he came bouncing forth whilst Garry spiraled out of control

The springy nature of the pollen gave him the hardship of ever needing to quickly adapt to his environment. He starts by widening his arms and legs and bounces to a tree where he quickly grapples himself to avoid any more unwanted obstacle. He let go and with his foot leading the fall of his body he leaped higher and slowly transition from one posture to another

"That's it! I finally caught on to this issue. Now where is he!!?" His eyes radiate with such a brilliant color for Garry unknowingly triggered the appearance of his eye

'Strange... I haven't heard him cursing for the last minute or so, I wonder what could've happened– Holy shi! That could've been me,'

Young Kettle passed by Godfrey where he unsuccessfully grapple his neck but a nearby branch where his target mainly dangled. Godfrey was amazed at how his speed gained such acceleration on such short notice, and when Garry landed he learns the truth. The ground where he anchored himself was deeply struck by his own two feet where most of the pressure he gained was stored

'It doesn't just alter the body granting them spring-like vessels but it results in turning anything into a spring. If I sequentially bounced using my feet then the pressure leading to now will only get potent as it persists. This doesn't feel the slightest different from a bounce castle the only thing that change is my body,'

Godfrey repeatedly evades his touch and as it persists his speed free faster until his image goes blurry and became a speeding bullet. After bouncing tree after tree, his max speed grew faster until Godfrey couldn't anticipate his move. Their game of tag finally ends when Garry came from his back and the two came plummeting to the ground until the pollen no longer hand an effect

"When your uncle told you to test him I never imagine this..." Their view was suddenly blocked by a shadow that came from a lovely maiden who held a basket containing their meals

"I always wanted to say this. Greetings do you want lunch? Treatment for your grazes...? or maybe me?" Lilla jokingly replied
