New Identity

The next morning, Chojusen woke up to the sound of something strange indeed. There appeared to be a digital clock projecting the image of a cute little girl yelling in an obviously forced tsundere voice. The clock repeated "WAKE UP! WAKE UP! IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP I'M GOING TO K-KISS YOU."

Chojusen was a bit more than just confused. First of all in who's bedroom did he wake up in and how could he make that god awful noise stop. He didn't have much time to figure out what happened as a woman opened his room and look at him with intense disappointment. The woman said "Issei Hyoudou! How many times am I going to have to wake you up for school before you start acting like a man of your age?"

"Huh? Issei Hyoudou?" Chojusen was caught off guard, and he hadn't yet thought of how to go about living as someone else.

Issei's mom was a bit worried now. Seeing her son say his name as if he had never heard of it, was a bit off even for his character. She said "Issei, are you alright. Come one now, you have to get ready for school before you're late again."

"Sorry miss, I seemed to have lost my memories..."

Now Issei's mom was starting to sweat bullets. Even though she knew her son was a lecherous deviant, she still cared for him a lot, and wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him. Being called "miss" by her son confirmed that this was a serious problem as Issei would never commit a prank as terrible as pretending to no know his parents. What made her believe that her son was ill even more, was the fact that he called her miss, and not mom; such "formal" behavior was completely out of place for Issei.

Issei's mom ran down the stairs to go get her husband and decided tell him about their son's condition before taking him to the hospital to get him evaluated. As the two worried parents discussed their son's situation, Chojusen was inspecting himself and the new world.

As he checked out his body he was surprised. This Issei fellow that he had unintentionally been forced into was the closest person he had ever seen resemble him; it was like the situation with Guy and Lee. Apart from having a terribly average physique and a different hairstyle, Chojusen's true body and Issei could be considered doppelgangers.

Having inspected his body with a mirror, Chojusen called his Status to see what the new world's system looked like. He also asked the system to give him to new power level structure. To his delight the system told him that because he was already part of a faction he could have access to all the power levels up to the previous cap of Immortal Rank.

"What on earth? System… what are all these ridiculous things?"

[Huh? Whatever do you mean?] The system was trying to play dumb.

"Part Devil and Demonic Energy I understand… but what the hell is this part Dragon, Promotion, and Boosted Gear nonsense."

"Very funny..." Chojusen was about to verbally smackdown the system, but his parents intruded into his room. Both of them had worried faces and started to ask Chojusen a bunch of questions. Chojusen answered truthfully as he really had no clue what the "correct" answers to all the questions were, and he was taken to a hospital.

The doctors were baffled with his case as he had a "special" form of amnesia. He knew who to communicate, effectively and fluently, but certain things like cars and the internet were foreign to him. Even the concepts of the hierarchy of the government and even schools was unknown to Chojusen. The doctors had never seen a case as strange as his, but they determined that other than his amnesia, he was perfectly fine.

They gave him a notice to present at school the next day and told his parent to just teach him about his past self to try and jog his memories. When Chojusen arrived at his new home, his parents were ill at ease with trying to jog his memories. They didn't want him to return to his lecherous personality, but that was who he was before this incident. There was a lot of teeth grinding as Chojusen watched his new parent's try their best to describe Issei's personality.

Chojusen was very disturbed and even a little impressed with Issei's perverse nature; he had never seen or heard of someone as passionate as Issei was towards girls… Of course, now that he had taken over, he would certainly not act like a horny demon. Chojusen already had three wife back in his home universe and was never really one to desperately crave carnal desires.

He told his parents that he was sorry for his past behavior and that he would try to change for the better. His parents were floored at his proclamation. Was this really their son? The worthless son who almost lost his mind studying just to get into Kuoh Academy, which had recently went from girls-only to co-ed?

After improving his new parent's mood a bit, Chojusen started asking question that most people would consider common knowledge. He asked about all the odd new pieces of technology had had seen. Things like cars, trains, street lights, the internet, television, and even the medical tools that were used to examine him at the hospital were explained to him by his parents.

With all this new knowledge and a ton of time to spare, Chojusen went to his new room and started to check the internet for all the information he might need as a student going on his second year of high school.

For the next couple hours Chojusen spend his time mostly studying history and science. The mathematics that he had learned back in the Ninja Academy were more than sufficient for his current level of education. Still, there wasn't enough time to learn everything he needed to know if he wanted to blend in at school tomorrow. But with his doctor's note, the teachers would probably not be too hard on him.

Chojusen currently lost access to his Yang Rebirth skill, so he needed to go to sleep if he didn't want to have a bad time tomorrow. Before going to sleep through, Chojusen tried to move the demonic energy in his body. Even though he hadn't done anything today, training-wise, he could feel that the powers in his body were increasing.

Messing with the demonic energy in his body brought good results. Chojusen could simulate the effects of body refinement with his demonic energy, but because he had so little energy, it would dissipate before his body could revolve the energy across his entire body. This was another change Chojusen found; there were no chakra points in his new body. If he were a novice he would have revolved his energy haphazardly, but as someone who had trained to the Immortal Rank before, Chojusen had the best channeling route memorized.

Chojusen revolved his energy across his body and waited for his energy to recover ten or so times before his body couldn't take the exhaustion anymore and he went to sleep.
