40k World Explained
( Keep in mind this is all super condensed and watered down, just enough to know what they mean. )
Imperium of Man: The largest human civilization 40k years into the future led by the God Emperor of Mankind.
Emperor of Mankind: An immortal psychic revered as a god by the Imperium of Man, got hit so hard he is now relegated to a golden chair because he is now disabled for the past 10,000 years.
Grey Knights: Super-powered soldiers who specialize in killing Daemons/Demons. Wear grey power armor.
Adeptus Custodes: The super elite super soldiers of the Imperium of Man created by the God Emperor, extremely strong and skilled. Wear golden power armor.
Chaos: A faction consisting of the 4 chaos gods and their forces, they reside in an alternate reality known as the warp.
Khorne: Chaos God of bloodshed and battle, likes to unga bunga.
Tzeentch: Chaos God of Change, Evolution, Intrigue, and Sorcery, basically magical bs and plans that make no sense.
Slaneesh: Chaos God of excess and pleasure, basically doing too much of anything and of course... SEGGGS-
Nurgle: Chaos God of stagnation, rot, and plagues. Essentially gives everyone mega illnesses and likes stinky rotting things.
Abaddon: The Warmaster of Chaos forces, a super-powered soldier in special armor who wields a daemon sword capable of cutting through anything and a special claw. Super lame and pathetic.
Bolter: Shoots .75 rocket-powered explosive bullets.
Chainsword: You have a chainsaw, you have a sword, now combine them to make a chainsword!
Cadia: A planet that was supposed to be blown up by Abaddon.
Titan: Massive war machines that can be as large as a mountain, are basically walking cathedrals.
