Ahhhhhhhh!!!

Qin Zihao bewilderedly stared at her for a moment but then confidently went ahead, "Miss Jiang, I would be fine obviously. Just because it looks like a haunted house does not mean that real ghosts would be he- Ahhhhhhhh!"

Jiang Ying Yue sighed hearing his scream. She knew it already, she had been here before too. There is a certain weird way of greeting customers here.

Following the path Qin Zihao went, she was greeted by a Qin Zihao lying on the ground looking shockingly at the gigantic man standing in complete white clothes having dark red curly hair with a spatula in his hands.

He was staring steeply right at Qin Zihao with aggression on his face.

What the fu***** hell in the world??!??!?!

This man...was here all this time!?!

He was really scared out of his wits but rather than the appearance, it was the person that shocked him.

Passing by him, Jiang Ying Yue went straight to the man, "Mr Miller! Do you remember us?"

Qin Zihao was more thunderstruck at the way Jiang Ying Yue spoke so friendly with him.

"Yes, Jiang Ying Yue and Zhou Jingyi, Welcome back to my restaurant!!!"

And more at the way he talked back with them. This man...he even knew how to speak cheerfully?!!!

What the hell was even going on??? Qin Zihao was on the verge of collapsing, his mind had taken more than this before but since morning, he was getting unusual shocks after shocks.

Never in his million thoughts he had imagined Jiang Ying Yue to be indirectly linked with these people.

Zhou Jingyi patted his head while laughing, "Young Bodyguard, you were scared, right? It was not even that scary!"

He looked at his surroundings and found it to be a greenly lit hall which seemed more like a Halloween theme, damnn!

That was when he noticed that Jiang Ying Yue had already left with the gigantic man.

He flabbergasted got up from his place and started searching her, "Where is Miss Jiang? How could you let her go like this with that man??"

Zhou Jingyi spoke in a nonchalant tone while moving towards the end of the dimly lit hall and opened the door, "Don't worry he is safe to be with."

Qin Zihao followed behind her but was confused that instead of entering some dining hall...they came outside?

What kind of restaurant was this?!

It was an open area which was completely dark and the only source of light here was moonlight. There were not even tables where they could sit and eat.

He was doubting Miss Jiang's taste, how could such a place be the best one in the town? What they had entered through the door was a barren place which had not been used for years and was only filled with bushes and weeds.

Now where the heck were they supposed to go?

Zhou Jingyi had already gone further on her path while uttering something but on realising that nobody was giving her response she turned back and noticed Qin Zihao still standing there at door, all dazed.

If not for the fact that he was Jiang Ying Yue's personal bodyguard she would have really left him right there to get lost in this maze.

She couldn't even do so otherwise her best friend would kill her!

Thinking so she called out to Qin Zihao, "Young Bodyguard! If you do not wish to get lost then hurry up or is it that you have already forgotten that you got a Miss to protect all the time!?"

Hearing the voice echoing in the silent surrounding, he started searching for its source. Due to the darkness, it took some time for Qin Zihao to find Zhou Jingyi and just like that another curse was about to leave his mouth before he forced it back.

Zhou Jingyi had gone to the left side of the door and was currently standing on one of the stairs. The staircase structure was designed like an enormous snake leading to a massive tree house whose leaf-filled branches were touching the ground from every side.

Because it was at the back end of the left side, one could only find it if someone was to look intently at that side with a sufficient source of light.

The staircase started with the tail of the snake and its mouth opened to the entrance of a tree house. Currently, the staircase was glowing due to small lights fitted in the perforate along the handrail making it comparatively easier for them to see.

Though Qin Zihao was startled but since it was nothing in front of what this man had created back then, he was quite composed. This was still normal, really basic to what he was actually capable of.

Zhou Jingyi had a thoughtful look watching his expression but changed it the moment she noticed Qin Zihao coming in her direction and revived her normal teasing smile.

"You don't seem that shocked as I had expected."

Hearing her normal teasing tone, he casually tossed her an unceremonious look and walked ahead.

"Heyy! Let me walk in front and lead, you still know nothing about this place!"

Watching her rush forward, he did not say anything and let her be. It was a lot for today, if another thing comes up it's better to let her take the lead. The major concern should be Miss Jiang.

"Let's hurry up, Miss Zhou! Just because you said he is safe doesn't mean that I could leave Miss Jiang with that man for long."

Reaching the tree house after crossing the mouth tunnel of the snake, they found the door opened.

Wasn't that man scared that someone else would trespass? It wasn't the USA after all.

This place always reminded Jiang Ying Yue of magical fantasy. Even if the entrance was quite scary, the inside of the tree house fascinated her every time she entered the place.

Once entering the tree house, it was like a fairy tale. It was dimly lit with green lights again but artificial glow worms infused in the interior illuminated the place which was like a huge library consisting of several staircases leading to different destinations.

But instead of books being that destination, they were different doors.

She had been here four times and each time they always went to one door only which brings one to a big dining hall of a European style. The others were still a mystery in a need to unfold.

Once Zhou Jingyi had asked him about those doors and his only reply to it was that they would know it sooner or later what those doors comprised behind them. She had felt there was a double meaning to what he said but did not probe it knowing only the thing that wanted to be probed could be probed, not others.

She was brought to the dining hall like every time, but only reaching it did she realise that Zhou Jingyi and Qin Zihao were not with them which she did not detect earlier due to the casual ongoing conversation she was having with Mr Miller.

Waiting at the dining table, she wondered what the other two were up to and why had they not reached yet. She was more worried that they would start battling with each other instead of coming harmoniously together.

Just when she was about to go to look for them, she was held up by Mr Miller.

"Miss Jiang, is your husband back?"

He was not a native and it had not been that long since he started living here so he was still not fluent yet.

She blinked at Mr Miller who was currently working efficiently in the open kitchen. Thinking he was referring to the invitation he had given to them before, she answered without delving, "Not yet, but he would be back within a month."

Mr Miller nodded politely and did not ask much besides it. But his one question had put Jiang Ying Yue in doubt after a realisation hit her.

As far as she remembered, last time she had put him in a misinterpretation by saying that he was back but couldn't come due to a busy schedule then how come he asked if he was back again this time too.

Mr Miller's expression was still the same as if what he asked was just normally about the weather, nothing extraordinary.

Jiang Ying Yue was not sure if she was only thinking unnecessarily but somehow for the past few months, everything related to her husband was making her suspicious.

She had always felt that there was something going on behind her but what?

Having a cautious expression, she was going to ask something but was interrupted by the bantering of Zhou Jingyi and Qin Zihao.

Zhou Jingyi continued teasing Qin Zihao as he gave a hard stare at Mr Miller. Zhou Jingyi's teasing was not having any effect on Qin Zihao but the presence of a certain giant definitely was taking a toll on him.
