A Change Got Triggered In Her But What Could Be The Reason?

Guo Leiwu stood up as well and looked fixedly at her hand before shaking his hand with her to seal off the deal. To Guo Leiwu, it was not just simply sealing off some regular business deal but his future along with his daughter's life.

"Now that the deal is done, it's time that we return. I will let you know about all the other details through email." With this, she went to the living room followed by Guo Leiwu and also Qin Zihao who had been sitting silently all this time and quietly munching the side dishes.

Because what they were talking about was business...he felt it was better to stay quiet as that was something he was not an expert in.

With how the discussion went, none of the points of discussion really stirred up his interest except for Old Madam Jiang. He followed them while touching his chin; deep in thought. The way they described what she did was really not that weird, he knew this was how things went in most of the high-class families rather it was more about the change that occurred in her.

Could she be also involved after all she was the current matriarch of the whole family? Even when the whole family was not completely under her control yet at that time she had quite a status if he were to go according to their chat and power to order around things then now shouldn't that had only been doubled?

They had not thought much about it before because at that time the sources told that she was a miserable person but now he couldn't be sure anymore. "Qin Zihao! Come fast!" A feminine voice yanked him out of his thoughts. Seeing that he had come to stop in the living room while Jiang Ying Yue was already at the door changing her shoes, he quickened his steps shaking off all the other things from his mind.

Getting to her, he noticed that she was standing there with a small gift bag that's when Guo Leiwu handed him a small bag too, "These were the cookies cooked by Xiao Yina, these are not much so just take it as a welcoming gift."

"There was no need of it but because I love cookies I won't deny it." Guo Leiwu laughed at his cheeky way of not denying it. Actually, it was not because he loved cookies but because it was being given by the one behind his favourite car, he took it.

"I am glad that you are not denying it."

"Ok so we shall go now, we have already been here for hours now." As she said this she motioned Qin Zihao and they soon were out of the building.

It was eight in the night when they exited the locality. Only about eight days were left for their departure to City S, the two years in his city passed just like that. It was time to go back to her life...to how it was supposed to be if their life had not mingled.

Since she would be going for a long time, she need to complete all the formalities as well. Sigh, time really passed by.

When she used to be awake the whole night, getting crushed by her thoughts, the only thing she used to tell her shivering form to calm it down was that it was time and time never stays the same. And truly, painful days did not stay forever. She had to learn to let it go, this emotion in her heart that always end up causing her pain; the more she would cry over it the more it would be engraved deeper in herself.

"For how long would we be there for?"

So stay here and focus on your studies, what say?"

"Obviously that's the least of the worries for now, Miss Jiang. And about University, I had decided to cancel my admission here and get admission into the one in City S. With my score, it shouldn't be difficult to get enrolled in any university there."

"Okay, anything that suits you." Jiang Ying Yue did not want to force him, if he wanted to come along he could and if he wished to stay back, even then she won't have any problem. Her only worry was that he was forgetting about his life while trying to protect hers.

The rest of the journey to Old House went in silence. Jiang Ying Yue had done most of the task for speaking today so she was not in the mood to talk anymore whereas Qin Zihao was lost in his thoughts.
