What she wanted

"I think Florate feels the same way you feel about him" Lilith said to Rain immediately they were dismissed from class for lunch.

"And why would you think that?" Rain asked as she gulped the water in her water bottle.

"I don't know" Lilith shrugged. "You saw what he did today, didn't you? I am sure he made the last message up just so he could save you from sensei's punishment"

"Well... I can't say for sure that he made it up but it sure seemed like he did" Rain said as they both walked to the exit to the dining hall.

"And what if he really did make it up? What if he really did want to save you?" Lilith asked with a sting of excited in her voice.

"Then l guess l owe him a thank you"

"Seriously Rain? Do you not see where am heading at? It means that he has eyes for you too" Lilith squealed as they both entered the dining hall.

"I won't be so sure about that Lilith till l see him and ask".

"Well l guess that time is now"

"Wait what?"

"Look it's Florate" Lilith pointed with a grin.

"What?" Rain hid her face immediately, so he would see that she was the one.

"I thought you wished to see him and to ask him if he did what he did on purpose"

"Yh l did but l didn't know l would see him so soon" Rain tucked her hair behind her ear while she spoke. "I will just go to my room now Lilith l think l need some air"

"For god sake Rain you are already here and l don't see the use for more air. Just go ahead and say hi to him, oh my look he is waving at us" Lilith said to her in excitement. She just wished Rain would get over her cheesy attitude and go talk to Florate. He might feel the same way for her too.

"Lilith l don't think this is the right time for me to talk to him, l mean we came here for lunch not talk to people. I will leave that for next time".

"Nonsense Rain" she stood from where she sat next to her and walked straight to Florate. She spoke silently to him, after which he stood from where he sat and walked to where Rain sat with her head bent on the table before her with her hair covering her face.

She saw Florate walk to where she sat and began praying within her, 'please don't sit with me please don't sit with me. No! No! Please don't' she was not ready to talk to him yet and she feared she might make horrible mistakes while talking to him.

"You know you can't hide your face with your hair Rain" Florate spoke as he sat down. "Your features are too distinct for that. Hi, l am Florate Henshaw, a level one aspirant like you" he said finally, stretching his hand for a hand shake with a smile on his face.

"Hi" she took his hand with her head still not lifted up.

"Don't you think l deserve to atleast see your face?" He asked just about the same time their food was served by the robots. They went around, serving one plate of the well cooked pasta to each pasta with a complete set of cutlery. They got to their table and Rain did not hesitate to dig in, not as if she was that hungry but because she sought a way to avoid talking to him.

Florate understood very well, sher e didn't push futher he simply ate his own food in silence, stealing glances from her each time he got the chance to.

"Silly girl" Lilith cursed from where she sat watching. "What the hell is wrong with her?" She was about to dig into her own plate too before she heard someone call her name in astonishment.

"Lilith?"

She turned to the direction of the voice to meet a surprised Nex. He stared at her like he had seen a ghost and it really scared her.

"Hi Nex" she waved at him "what's up"

"No! This can't be! I.... I believed you were no more!" He yelled in anger and fustration, drawing the attention of others.

"Me? No more? What are you talking about and why are you acting so wierd?"

"You are using forbidden powers!" He suddenly. "You are using a forbidden force! A non Trivenian power, And l can prove it!"

"You are being crazy now Nex" she tried to talk some sense into his head. "What the hell are you talking about".

"Everyone listen to me!" He turned to face the others who already left their foods to know what the fuss was all about. "Lilith Amnell is not a normal Trivenian. She has this dark force within her that is capable of restoring life, and l can prove it!"

"Shut the hell up Nexine!" Rain shouted from where she sat. She walked to where he stood and stood before him challenginly. She leaned on to him and wisphered to his ear. "Do you mean to tell us all how you stabbed Lilith at the foot of the orange oak tree. Don't think that you were not seen by anyone, murderer because that would be your biggest mistake".

She sighed at him and turned to Lilith. She gave her a wink which she utterly did not understand but knew very well it was not the right time to ask of the meaning.

Nex found it hard to believe that Rain actually saw him stab Lilith. If she really did, then why has she not reported him already. Maybe she wanted something or just decided to act nice. Whichever it was, he was not planning on throwing the opportunity away. He gave Lilith a glare which the meaning could be clearly seen, 'it is not over yet'.

"What did you mean by Lilith Amnell possessed a dark force within her?" A boy sitting beside him asked obviously curious to hear what he had to say, and so were the others. All their ears were itching for the full story.

"I am sorry everyone for disrupting your meal. Please give me no listening ear, for l have nothing more to say" he said simply, earning the sighs and gestures of disappointment from everyone, which he really did not care about, what matters most was that Rain did not rat him out. He sat back down to face his meal peacefully. With a new thought, rested on his mind. 'How he could get Rain on his side'. With an ally like her, he was sure he could bring Lilith and what ever power she possessed down in no time. He just had to figure out how excatly he could get her support or maybe give her what she wanted...
