The explosion

"What do you mean you don't know how it happened scientist? How can one of my aspiring rangers turn out to be a light mutant out of the blue?"

'What?! The light mutant!' Andreas was totally shocked. Have they already found a replacement for Rain to take the shot? Did they not at least wonder where she went to? If that was the case, then he would not agree less that these Trivenians had no care for their own kind.

"I am just finding out now that scientist Henshaw created the formular for the mutation and it has certainly been administered to one of your aspiring rangers already and I don't know who" the scientist sounded worried.

"If you what you said is correct than that means that one of my mutated rangers would turn out to be the light mutant" the grand sensei stated as a matter of fact, while Andreas just stared at them, calmly waiting for the outcome of the discussion.

"Sadly, grand sensei" the scientist shook his head.

Immediately the grand sensei heard this, he hit his hand forcefully on his desk and angrily left his office.

"I must stop the mutation he said with worry evident in his voice. He could not bear to let history repeat itself again. He knew how much damage the first light mutant caused Triven and that would not come to pass again under his watch.

" Am afraid that is already too late grand sensei" the scientist pulled him back which got the sensei pissed off.

"What do you mean too late scientist?" he gritted his teeth at him. "I can't just fold my arms and do nothing you know" he looked at him angrily.

"The time for you to act has passed grand sensei" he said to him as he slowly let him go.

"I will not sit hear and listen to your incompetent self speak. I am going to the lab now to stop the mutation immediately"

"An explosion occurred in the lab just now grand sensei!" the scientist turned him with his own flare of anger.

"What an explosion?!" the grand sensei could not believe his ears.

Andreas in particular knew excatly what was going on here. Thygas had taken the sensei's form since today while the real sensei was put to sleep. Of course he knew nothing about all that has been going on today as he only regained full consciousness when Thygas left with Rain. However, Andreas knew very well that Thygas would have so loved to see the facial expression of the grand sensei now. He called it the after effect of Thygas's bound. After effect indeed. Well.... That was Thygas.

"While you were busy putting your sleep first before this mutation process, your beloved aspirants were taking their shots and just now, there was an explosion in the lab which I am sure is not by coincidence. So you see. You are the one who us truly incompetent here grand sensei. You and the so called government that put scientist Henshaw in charge of our most delicate force of manpower. He never deserved the position of grand scientist, neither do you. So do not dare point that finger at me"

The grand sensei was short of words. Something was really off with him today. For one, he over slept and missed the opening speech before the mutation. He wondered how they were able to go one without him. The other sensei's sure had an explanation to do but how could he blame them, he was the one who fell on his part and he had no right to blame them at all. Maybe they might have come to call him and he didn't respond.... Who knows? The truth was actually that he could not bear the shame right now of facing them and taking responsibility for his irresponsibility. But now, having heard what the scientist just said, he was very surprised. 'how could he not have know that there was an explosion in the lab. Something strange was really going on today, but he will figure that out later. Right now, he had to protect his aspiring rangers at least as a way to make up for his ignorance.

"I must go now" he said simply, before leaving his office immediately and the scientist followed him closely.

Andreas listened attentively to their conversation all this while and all he could fathom was the fact that he had to act now. If truly there was a light mutant other than Rain, he had to adopt him or her and deliver to his father immediately. At least, he appreciated the fact that he was able to save Rain from utter destruction he only pitied who the badluck fell and really did not care.

*The lab*

"Emergency! Emergency!"

"Every one leave the lab now!"

The voice of sensei Otis was heard loud and from the speakers situated round the lab for easier communication. The mutated aspirants were just regaining conciousness and did not even get the time to try out their new abilities when a loud explosion was heard and immediate evacuation of the lab was called for.

"What is the situation sensei Miratroy" he asked the worried sensei who just walked towards him now hastily.

"We actually comprehend what us going on sensei Otis" she replied with her face all flustered. "It's seems like one of the mutated aspirants blew up the lab" she sounded and looked very scared.

"How is that feasible?" sensei Otis asked rhetorically. "Where is the grand sensei?" he asked again and thus time, he needed a reasonable response.

"I certainly have no idea sensei" sensei Miratroy shook her head in disapproval.

"That's okay" he waved. "Just do well to inform other sensei's to help evacuate the lab, until the grand sensei returns, let's try and keep the aspirants safe with our abilities".

"Of course sensei Otis" Sensei Miratroy left immediately and teleported into the lab immediately to rescue the aspirants still stuck inside and in danger.

"Get out of the lab!" sensei Otis kept repeating, as he helped take all the aspirants out before they can finally realized what the cause of the explosion was.

"What caused the explosion?"

The grand sensei asked hastily immediately he got the venue of the blown up lab with the scientist following him closely and prince Andreas waiting for the light mutant to be revealed, so that he would take he or she home with him and finally grand his father's heart desire.

"Its one of the mutated aspirants grand sensei" sensei Otis quickly replied. "We don't know what really happened but one of them went out of control, caused the blow up and now every where is in utter chaos" his face was flabbergasted.

"No... It can't be" the grand sensei wisphered to himself but sensei Otis heard it.

"What is it grand sensei?" he asked, looking at him intently.

"It has happened..." he continued. "History is about to repeat itself".

"What are you talking about grand sensei?" sensei Otis was still in a confused state concerning what grand sensei Velskud was speaking of.

"Yes it sure is grand sensei Velskud" the scientist backed him up. "History has chosen to repeat itself while you are grand sensei. You now have a light mutant" he graciously announced like it was goodnews.

"What?" sensei Otis was shocked. "the light mutant?"

Now Andreas was getting ready to seize and capture whoever it was that bore this destruction so that he would take him or her to his father.

"Yes sensei Otis" the grand sensei turned to him fiercely. "Gather all other senseis, we must kill that light mutant for the danger he will bring is not something he will like to experience".

"Sure grand sensei" sensei Otis replied. "I will gather all other senseis we must kill the light mutant before he becomes familiar to his abilites".

He left immediately to call other senseis.

Now Andreas knew it was time to act, he could not and would not watch them kill the light mutant when he knows how much he needs him right now. He must act now.

As he made to take a move, another part of the lab blew up and a human figure busted out of the roof top with immerse brightness hovering around him.

"The light mutant!" the grand sensei gritted his teeth. "We must kill the light mutant!" he said fiercely to the other senseis and they charged against the light mutant.

The human figure drew closer and in no time, was more visible to them that they could see who it was clearly.
