The bait

"But how can that be possible?" Rain wore a puzzled look. "We don't even have our mutant powers yet".

"That will happen soon Rain" Lilith replied. "We will be getting mutated in three days time" her face looked very serious and her eyes were full off determination.

"But what if this light mutant won't be amongst us?" Rain asked again. She seemed to be the only one scared and not comfortable with this idea of Lilith. She understood very well that her prince Andreas meant alot to her after hearing her story of him and even though she was first not happy that she had kept it from them, she was still happy that her friend found love and would do anything within her power to help them be together but definitely not bringing light to a dark and destroyed world with a very risky plan too. No! That was definitely not within her power.

"I mean..." She continued. "That may or may not happen Lilith. You know can't put your trust in the mutation and like you said, it such mutant had been just once in the history of our world. This is a 0.01 chance girl".

"0.01?" Lilith scoffed. "At least there is a number valid number there Rain. 1. This will definitely work, I am sure of it" she looked very sure and serious. Too serious that Rain did not feel like objecting what she was saying anymore. "All we have to do is sneak into the lab, create the mutation formular for the light mutant and then make sure that I will be the one to take that particular shot. That part should be easy, we can just wipe the stringe number on my file currently and replace it with the one we shall prepare" she took a deep breath.

"Do you understand?".

The room fell in silence for a few seconds. Everyone seemed to be in their own deep thoughts including Lilith that requested for an answer to her final question. They all knew that what they were planning to do was very risky and that any flaw in this plan could cause a drastic backfire.

"This is too dangerous Lilith" Florate spoke this time. He had considered all the odds in the plan and figure that it was dangerous. "Like you stated before, the light mutant is the most powerful mutant ever turned in the whole of Triven and the one time it happened, power drove him insane and he almost destroyed the whole of our world but ended up causing his own doom. Now Lilith..." he sighed. "Even if we are to create the formular properly and get the stringe ready for your turning, if the plan works, how sure are we that you will not loose your sanity because of the amount of power you will weild and eventually, cause your own destruction. We cannot take that risk Lilith. There has to be another way to bring back light to Gorgor, this is just too risky".

"Excatly Lilith" Rain added. "We do not want to loose you or our world and bringing back the history of the light mutant will definitely make that happen. Please I beg you, consider what you are saying properly. Is it really worth it?"

At her words, Lilith bowed her head for some seconds as if she was trying to calm down and she raised it again with tears welled up in her eyes before speaking again.

"Listen to me Florate, Rain" she held their hands lightly. "I understand that you and Rain care very well for me and I reciprocate that care as well. I love Andreas and I will do anything to be reunited with him and that is why I am willing to take this risk guys because it is worth it. Our love is worth sacrificing all that there is, just like the love you both share" she gave them a wan smile and they both exchanged glances. "Please Florate, Rain. Help me get back to the love of my life so that I can be happy and satisfied just as you both are with each other. Please".

Florate and Rain exhaled deeply before Rain finally spoke.

"We will help you Lilith".

"Yes" Florate added. "What ever it takes we will bring light back to Gorgor and reunite you with prince Andreas".

"Thank you so much guys" she drew both of them into a group hug with a beautiful smile on her face.

"You are welcome" Florate breathed.

"We love you".

"I really appreciate". She withdrew from the hug but the smile remained on her face.

"Wait a minute" Florate suddenly blurted. "I just had an important thought".

"What is that?" Rain asked looking at him intently.

"There is something that is definitely not feasible Lilith" Florate shook his head in disapproval.

"What is it?" Lilith furrowed.

"Accessing your file. You know we can not do that, it is definitely impossible"

"True" Rain supported. "The only person that has the right to access the files of the aspiring rangers in this institute is the grand sensei and the few other trusted sensei's. We don't even know where it is kept".

"Yes we don't Rain. But I know someone who does" Lilith smirked.

"Who is that?" Rain furrowed.

"Nexine".

"Nexine?!" she was not surprised at all at the mention of the name but was only shocked with the fact that she (Lilith) was going to ask Nexine for help. How was that going to be possible. She was sure he would never help her, no matter how she begs or pleads with him. They were just not compatible and would never do anything to help each other.

"Very funny Lilith" she finally spoke. "Three of us here know that Nexine is the last person you would ever want to ask for help and you are the last person he would ever wish to help. I am going to be very honest with you here Lilith. This particular part of the plan is surely futile" she shook her head still looking at Lilith intently to know what her reply would be.

"Very correct Rain. He would never accept to help me but he will surely fall for your fake smile" she gave her a smirk.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Florate raised a brow.

"It means..." she breathed and thought for a while. She had to choose her words carefully if she wanted them to understand it the way she did and not comprehending the negative side.

"What does it mean?" Florate was becoming impatient.

"It is simple Florate Rain would have to be our bait to get Nexine" she said calmly hoping he would try to understand.

"What?" Rain looked shocked. "What is that supposed to mean? I do not want to play that part Lilith. Definitely a capital NO! from me".

"Try to understand Rain" she tried to convince her but Florate cut in.

"Enough!" he held Rain's hand and squeezed them lightly before he spoke. "I understand Rain but I too am pleading on behalf of Lilith. Be the bait baby. Do it for the love we all share"...
