Chapter 118

[Territory of chimaeras.]

A huge lion with a snake tail was slowly moving through the forest, on whose head a doe stood proudly puffing out its chest and arrogantly examined the surroundings, imagining in her head that it was she who is the queen of this jungle.

But after a few seconds, the monster stopped abruptly and the cub began to beat him with a paw on the head with displeasure, because she almost fell, but still looking in the direction where her father's gaze was directed, she suddenly growled with displeasure, which caused a smile to appear on Snape's face.

"Any thoughts?" Snape asked him with a hint of fun in his voice, who, after parting with the King of Snakes and agreeing to meet him in five years, headed to the "safe zone", which was just on the way with these chimaeras.

"I will accept your offer if you swear by your magic that this is not a trap and you will not harm my daughter…"

"Ryayayayar!" / Hessss! the head of the doe growled "menacingly" and her tail hissed, and the huge lion was a little embarrassed by her behaviour, and also glad that the man did not know their language and did not understand that the cub challenged him to a duel.

"I spoiled her too much…" covering his eyes with his paw, the monster shook his head, and then looked with surprise at the red parchment hanging in front of his eyes.

"This is a contract, according to which, on my part, a promise not to harm you, to feed and provide housing, and from your side: to protect me, my family and home, but you don't have to worry, it's very calm behind the barrier and you will have to walk out only in the most extreme case." Severus said motioning towards the parchment.

The Chimera King just silently nodded and began to study the contract, after all Severus was not the only person who visited his territory, and thanks to his great intellect, he managed to learn human speech and writing in a couple of hundred years, and the parchment was unusual, it could translate the text into almost any language, even into Portuguese, which was mainly spoken in the Muggle part of Brazil, and in magical.

The same was true for "Magic Jungle", in which there was a huge number of foreign Wizards.

It was not difficult for Snaps himself to learn the language, thanks to his excellent memory, as well as legilimency and the help of a tutor, it took only a week. And in Brazil, reading the superficial thoughts of Muggles and wizards, he was able to improve his understanding and master it at the proper level.

After reading the text of the contract, the monster did not see anything strange and after observing the actions of a man who cut his finger and threw a drop of blood into the sheet, the chimaera repeated after him and in the next moment the parchment burned down.

"I'm glad we could find a common ground, I promise you won't regret it."

"I hope so, Human."

Smiling silently, Severus took out the box and pointed his palm at the tensed magical creature "I'll transfer you to this box for now, otherwise I won't be able to take you out of here," and only after these words, the monster relaxed a little and nodded, and Severus moved them into the artefact, and then he put it in his spatial wallet.

"That's all, and now we need to return the card …" and looking down at Nagini's head lying on his shoulder, he smiled awkwardly, "Are you offended," gently running his hand over the top of the snake, Severus said softly, to which she only snorted in response.

"I'm not offended, why do you think so?"

"Is it true? Then why do your emotions say otherwise?"

"Don't read them!"

"That is a difficult task."

"Then don't bring it up."

"Eh ... understood, where I was last evening, it was much more dangerous than in the lair of that snake, and if I took you all with me, then everything could end in failure, then I would have to think, not only about my life, but and about yours as well," sighing heavily, Severus explained, sitting down on a stump and looking right in to the direction of jungle's centre, where he had met that humanoid creature.

"You yourself understand this," with a warm smile, he looked into the eyes of Nagini, who quickly looked away.

"I… I understand, but I don't want to be a burden to you… I want to become stronger and not hide behind your back all the time so that you don't have to think of me as someone who needs to be protected!" Seeing the firm determination in the eyes of the snake, Severus could not restrain himself and sincerely laughed, for some reason at that second he remembered one boy who once said to him about the same words, with the same look, "Why are you laughing ?!"

" I'm sorry, you reminded me of someone…"

"And who exactly? Pretty girl I hope?"

"No, one very annoying boy."

"Hey!"

"You asked yourself, so I answered," he shrugged with a smile, from which she was offended again and turned away, "Well, when we get home, we will start work and make you much stronger so that you can wipe the floor with that snake in the underground."

"Is it true?!"

"Of course, have I ever lied to you?"

"Yes, it happened a couple of times."

"Hey!" to Snape's "indignation", Nagini burst into loud laughter with notes of hissing. And Snape himself smiled, but his smile was a little sad and the image of the boy changed to a man in his thirties with a peaceful expression on his face ...

[Safe Zone No. 2.]

Three men entered the sparsely furnished room, one of whom was limping slightly and holding on to his colleague. "Not bad, we still haven't completely lost our skills," the bald mage said with a smile, looking at the face of the disgruntled "sick" man, "Okay, okay, you can rest next week," in response, the disgruntled man silently nodded.

"Boss, I got hurt here too, can I have a day off …?" the other guy chimed in.

"You've been chilling during all the hunting," the bald man glared contemptuously at him, and then looking down at the sofa, he noticed a small box, which instantly alerted him, "Someone came here?"

"No, Boss, there was no one here," a man wrapped in black, who appeared next to him, answered in an emotionless voice.

"Okay, you can go"

"Yes!" pAnd as soon as he disappeared, the leader went to the box and raised it to eye level. "Boss… this is dangerous no one knows who could have left…"

"And who do you think could come here without disturbing the "shadows"?" snorting, without fear, he opened it and the next moment a huge, rope-bound humanoid creature without hair, with unnaturally long arms, sharp, spidery legs, three tails, one of which was a scorpion and a mouth studded with sharp shark teeth, fell on the table. And when the other two almost crap themselves out of the blue, the leader only silently examined him, although inside he, like the rest, was just as shocked at the sight of this creepy-looking creature.

But besides him, the wizard also noticed a sheet of paper, lifting and opening it, he saw a map of the forest, but more complete with two more red areas added and a few more lower in danger. And at the same moment he felt a burning sensation on his arm and looked down at the mark left by the contract, he saw how it began to disintegrate until it completely disappeared and the same thing happened to the rest of the wizards in the room.

"Mark, tell our people to get ready, we're leaving tomorrow, and send a few "shadows" for reconnaissance," the man ordered with a grin, laughing and waving his hand towards the growling monster lying on the floor, he added, "Lock this creature in a cage, We'll put it up for sale tomorrow."

"Yes, boss!"

*************

Finally, having finished his business in the "Forbidden" part of the "Magical Jungle", at least for the next five years, Severus did not immediately go towards the first "safe zone", but first explored the "Inner" part of the forest for about three hours to try to find more of those fruits, and he hoped to stumble upon more of those crystals.

But to his disappointment, he was completely unlucky with the last one, they were too well hidden and disguised, but still, he was able to detect two fruits, although he had to strain a little and use the detection spell to the maximum, from which some time after the search, his head still ached, but the Wizard was still pleased with his find.

In the first "safe zone", Snape expected to be attacked almost immediately with accusations for leaving that day, but nothing like that happened, because almost all wizards were hunting that very monster at the moment , which upset the balance in the "outer" part of the jungle.

Therefore, Snape was able to calmly enter the "village" and also leave it without incident. But this time he did not study the goods in the "market", because what's the point,

—----------------

And having overcome the "outer" part of the "Magic Jungle", avoiding other wizards scurrying through the forest without any problems, Severus used the same passage through which he had previously entered and finally left it. But, as soon as he was outside, he immediately noticed about ten black marks on the ground, as well as a tent nearby from which snoring could be heard.

"Hmm…" approaching them, Snape peered inside, and then just as quietly left leaving the letter beside them "I completely forgot about him, and it seems that I haven't been in the jungle for so long… hmm… he turned out ugly…"

Although he was heavily overgrown, Nagini was still able to recognize the shadow Wizard, whom Snape had previously saved and made his subordinate.

"Never mind"

"…" the snake just didn't know how to comment on it.

In order to hide his embarrassment, the young man coughed twice into his fist, and after snapping his fingers, in the next moment they disappeared and at the same time a rustling was heard in the tent and a head peeked out of it.

The man, drowsily rubbing his eyes, noticed a sheet of paper near his tent.

"What's that?" Raising his gaze and quickly sweeping it over, his right eye twitched, "Oh, you bloody bastard!" Shove your "now you can go back to the hotel" up your ass fucking sadist!"

Furiously crumpling the leaf, he threw it aside and puffed displeasedly, the wizard then noticed that suddenly, it began to get dark too sharply and looking at the sky, his lips trembled,

---

The Prince himself at this time, having already settled down on the sofa with a cup of tea, looked with a smile at the excited writer, who sat in front of him with a pen and an open notebook.

"Please, tell me what else you saw there!" while his eyes constantly fell on the card lying on the table, which was almost full, which really shocked Brew.

"So you can't wait to find out?"

"Mr. Snape, please don't mock me, I've devoted almost my entire life to the study of Magical Jungle!"

"Okay, okay, but this information is completely confidential, I will ask you not to write about it in your books," Severus said sternly, looking into his eyes, from which the man swallowed nervously and nodded, "Okay, then let's start with the "Outer" parts of the magical forest... The Wizard was not going to tell anything about crystals, devils and the snake, but only superficial information: about wildlife and dangerous parts of the jungle, but of course before that, he had tested the writer with legilimency.

Snape didn't try to brag about his accomplishments, he just wanted to talk to a normal person and restore his psychological state, even this short time in the jungle left its mark on his mind and before returning back to London, he wanted to completely return to normal and therefore, after talking with the writer, the whole next day, he went shopping and relaxing on the beach.
