Chapter 6

The match begins with both opponents clashing and exchanging auto attacks. Feyi uses that moment to observe Chris properly from a gameplay perspective.

Judging from what she has seen from his gameplay videos on Youtube and their many encounters in-game during Ranked mode, Chris tends to favour the flashy, aggressive gameplay style; a stark contrast with Feyi's slow-paced yet hard-hitting mechanics

It also helps that both players have faced off in the past albiet it was a fighting game which Feyi lost pretty badly. Nevertheless, the girl improved on herself since that time.

To say the boy was astonished would be a great understatement. He had always suspected that girl hired some pro player to boost her account but what he is seeing here right in front of him was telling him otherwise.

She definitely came prepared. But Chris was not one to get upstaged easily. Using the Q skill which is called Bladed Glory, he charges towards her and aims a powerful blast which Feyi promptly dodges.

The crowd goes nuts as they watch the match. Meanwhile, Mrs Badmus continues to pray for her daughter's victory. "Come on Feyi. You can do this."

Back in the match, Chris is angered and continues to press the assault on Feyi, throwing a wave of attacks on her which she skillfully dodges.

The girl smiles proudly. It took her months to perfect her craft and she is proud. It was at that moment that Chris smirks evilly and proceeds to unleash his ultimate move "The Kingmaker" upon the unsuspecting girl.

"Oh shit!!" says a spectator. "So my guy go do am eh?" says Alex.

"This is incredible!! Whenever Chris unleashes that move on people, it immediately reduces their health bars!! Can Ebony somehow survive?!" the announcer shouts in excitement.

"There is no way! Feyi is going to lose!!" Ireti shouts. Kai smirks. "I doubt it." The whole gang turns and stares at him. "What do you mean?" Ireti asked. "Just watch. I have seen Feyi use this trick on tanks before on the North American server."

Feyi's in-game avatar stays put as the powerful golden blast hits her. Chris' fans cheer as they see that as a victory until someone shouts, "Make una dey stop rejoicing!! See am!!"

There is a collective gasp in the room as Feyi's avatar is shown protecting herself from the attack with large white angel-like wings. Her health is down to just 30%.

"WHAT?!!"

"Wait, her champ is a mage support that can function as a mid champ or toplane." says Idris.

"So basically as Chris attacked her, she also healed herself up to mitigate the damage." says Alex.

"But Chris had ignite." Idris argued.

"True but the heal saved her." says Alex. "Very smart." says Richard.

Once the wings flap away from Ebony's face, her in-game armour is shown to have changed to gold. Her staff had alSo changed into a sword.

"Here goes nothing." says Feyi. The character flies towards Chris' one and shoots a barrage of flaming attacks that hits Chris, reducing his hp to 40 percent.

"W-What-"

Feyi had clearly been holding back her strength for a while.

"Now for the finishing touch." The character holds up her sword in the air and a circle of swords surround her.

"Wow!!"

Feyi then points her sword at her opponent. "Divine Judgement!!" The swords then fly towards Chris' avatar and begin to stab through him. Ebony then releases a final blast similar to Chris' except far more devastating that completely reduces his hp to 0.

The entire room gives Feyi a huge standing ovation for her performance.

"Ebony wins!!" says the announcer. But there was no point in saying that, everyone already saw it.

"Kai you were right!!" says Ireti. "I have played with her countless times so I know." says Kai.

"That was a remarkable feat." says Dr Rotimi. Mrs Badmus bursts into tears of joy. "She did it!! She actually did it!!" "Aww!!" says Rachel as she hugs her mum.

Chris is still on his seat trying to process what had just happened. Feyi takes off her headphones and walks over to him.

"You did well." she says. He looks up at Feyi who is smiling at him. He is taken aback by this as he expected some arrogance from her. Yet he is getting the opposite here. With that, she walks over to her family, leaving a stunned Chris behind.

Some news reporters are already on the scene and walk over to Feyi. "That was incredible Miss Ebony!!" says the reporter from Channels TV.

"Do tell us how you managed that amazing feat!!" another one from TVC asks.

Mrs Badmus sees the commotion and immediately joins them.

"Just a little FYI, I am her mother you know?" she says with an awkward chuckle.

Feyi rolls her eyes. Trust her mother to try and embarass her.

"Mummy....." she whines and pouts. The reporters laughed, finding the whole thing cute. Mrs Badmus laughs and squishes her daughters cheek.

She then turns to the reporters. "How about we find a room around here and have a proper press conference? I mean, this place is crowded."

"There is a nice room upstairs. We ca use that place for an impromptu conference room." the cameraman from Owambe News suggests

Feyi smiles. "Then lets do it." As they head towards the room, various Nigerians, young and old, approach Feyi for autographs and photos which she graciously grants.

"I am amazed by how quickly she accepted her fame." said Rchel. "One cannot be mentally prepared for that especially when you are as young as Feyi." says Dr Rotimi. "She should enjoy it. I am so happy for her." says Dolapo

"My guy admit say you like am na." says Folusho making everyone else laugh whilst Dolapo blushes. "Haba!! Stop bullying him!!" says Rachel.

Chris meanwhile is seething in anger on the inside. "So she dares to defy me? Oh I shall make her life hellish!!"
