The Doors stay open

If Martin insisted on being a nuisance, then he couldn't blame them when they were forced to act ruthlessly.

Don't look at Martin's impressive start and confuse him as a powerhouse.

It might have been the case if he continued fighting and exploring with the same vigour as Leon's group, but after the first boss fight Martin's cowardly nature had fully taken over causing him to take a back seat in the next fights slowing the others to not just catch up to him but even surpass him!

Right now, his strength could only be said to be in the upper middle levels of the group.

He wasn't even the strongest amongst their average members, much less the de facto leader, Andrew, who had single-handedly suppressed the entire group.

Before Martin could even realise, the fierce figure of Andrew stepped in front of him as a brutal aura appeared all over his body.

"If you're not trying to kill us, then you better stop talking nonsense."

Faced with Andrew's fierce aura, Martin's eyes flashed with a complicated emotion before he eventually lowered his head.

At first, he only mentioned these things because he felt a slight gratitude for Leon helping him in the earlier days.

But at the end of the day, it was just a slight gratitude.

They had already determined to follow different paths and Martin wasn't ready to die for a few moments of kindness shown in the earlier days.

As soon as Andrew saw Martin's lowered head, he coldly snorted.

"Since you've got nothing else to say, just get out of my way!"

After saying that, Andrew continued heading towards the temple doors.

But before he could even take a few steps, he suddenly froze.

Before he even realised it, he could now feel a cold chilling sensation as a sharp metal blade pressed against his neck.

Looking down, Andrew seemed to see a pair of cold, emotionless blue eyes that made him feel like he had been plunged into a bucket of cold water.

Andrew quickly recognised the person.

It was that strange little boy that constantly followed Leon around,

Lucas Breyer.

Lucas's cold eyes only lingered on Andrew for a few seconds before they scanned across the rest of the crowd.

"Nobody takes a step. That door is not allowed to close."

The words were simple and completely lacked the elaborate speaking shown by Andrew and Martin, who spoke before him.

But these words still managed to perfectly convey his intentions.

As long as Leon stayed outside the temple, those two doors would remain open.

For a few seconds after the words left Lucas's mouth, the crowd was left completely stunned.

All of a sudden, a kid had jumped out and told them not to make a move. It left them wondering if the kid had gone mad!

But that shock only lasted for a few seconds before the crowd burst into shouts of fury and indignation.

"Bastard! Have you gone crazy!"

"Who the fuck does this kid think he is?"

In the face of all sorts of curses and insults, Lucas didn't even flinch and just coldly stared at the swearing crowd.

Eventually, a tall, burly man couldn't stand it anymore and stepped out.

Even though Lucas had managed to stop Andrew, most didn't take it to heart.

In their opinion, Lucas had only managed to subdue Andrew because he used a sneak attack and besides, in his mind, Lucas was still a kid.

All he needed to do was give him a few slaps and then a few more scares, and then the kid would quickly fold and stop speaking a lot of this nonsense.

The crowd watched on in anticipation as the burly man approached Lucas. Only a few people that had survived the expedition were left shaking as they watched from the sidelines.

In their eyes, the burly man was the true fool. He could never guess the cruelty and viciousness hidden within the boy's childish demeanour.

"Listen here kid, I'm not gonna warn you again-"

But unfortunately, the man didn't even get to finish his sentence before a silver light flashed and a spray of blood scattered across the ground.

"Ah..ahh!"

The man wailed in pain as he fell onto the ground, desperately clutching at the giant gash on his shoulder.

Watching this bloody sight, Lucas had no change in expression.

"I warned you that nobody should take a step forward, but you didn't listen. Next time I won't be so lenient as to slice your shoulder. If there is a next time, then I'll be aiming for your neck."

As soon as Lucas's words left his mouth, the crowd was shocked silent.

The bloody smell from Lucas's recent victim was still fresh in the air, serving as a cruel reminder of the boy's viciousness and determination to enforce his ideals.

Just as the confidence of the crowd was about to shatter, another man stepped forward. The fear of the little boy was still vivid in his eyes but he still came forward regardless. In his mind waiting for those ogres to approach was certain death, so it was still better to risk going against this child.

With a firm resolve, the man stared at the boy and finally spoke.

"Boy, you can't push things too far, you still need to think about this."

But regardless of the man's words, an unshakable, cold look remained on Lucas's face.

"Boy, you're only one person! Do you really think you can go against all of us!"

As soon as those were spoken, the entire crowd seemed to stir as the previously crushed vigour quickly returned.

Yeah! They were all just facing one kid. Even if he could stop one of them, it was impossible for him to stop them all.

Suddenly Lucas felt countless malicious gazes lock onto him as the eerie sound of weapons being drawn resounded throughout the entire temple.

But suddenly, as all this was going on, Lucas's voice rang throughout the temple.
