Ogre

Before Leon could finish his sentence, a terrifying roar shook through the forest.

Leon quickly recognised the origin of the sound.

It was coming from the direction of the temple!

Without any further discussion, Leon and his golem began to sprint towards the origin of the e sound, catching the others who were journeying with him completely off guard.

They could just look at each other with confused expressions before turning around and running in the direction he just went to..

Merely a few seconds after the terrifying roar sounded, Leon broke through the forest into a familiar clearing.

He instantly spotted the familiar old dusty temple but what truly caught his eyes were the crowd of armed people in front of him, or more accurately, the Monster they were confronting.

It was a terrifying humanoid creature almost standing at around 10 feet tall. Its humongous muscles seemed to bulge all over its body as snake-like veins seemed to wrap around its enormous light green body.

"Ogre!"

An unpleasant expression appeared on his face as Leon remembered his experience with this creature in his past life.

From the people that survived on the first day, only 7 managed to walk out of this stage of the tutorial alive and all this was because of this creature in front of him.

After the first day arriving in <Haven> barely anyone died during the regular wave attacks on the temple. Those who could survive this far had already been through battle and were experienced warriors with murder and blood on their hands, but when they were placed in front of the ogre, they were just like children.

The group of nearly 40 people were torn to shreds and completely dismantled. It was only after the fierce and suicidal attack of many others that the creature was eventually killed, allowing for the few lucky survivors to move onto the next stage.

But this knowledge didn't scare Leon and instead just acted as a means of caution.

After all, Leon wasn't that same helpless kid in the tutorial that only survived due to his own cowardice and good fortune.

The Leon right now and the Leon from the past were simply incomparable.

Leon was sure he could crush his past self at this stage with a mere finger. Hell, maybe even just a look would be enough to shock his old cowardly self to death.

An ogre was a terrifying opponent, but so was the new him.

"Roar!"

The ogre's rage filled roar erupted as he swung down his giant club, crushing the two poor individuals that were unlucky enough to be caught under the blow.

After Seeing this bloody sight, Leon finally sprung into action.

Leon's blurred figure charged out of the forest and within seconds, he was already at the feet of the ogre. But even then, Leon didn't slow down and plunged his spear deep into the monster's calf.

"ROAR!"

A scream of pure pain and rage shook the eardrums of everyone present as the ogre turned to see the new attacker that had suddenly appeared.

When it saw that the attacker was a mere midget in comparison to it, its rage only increased.

Instantly, it smashed out with its giant club.

The humongous club swept out with a sped too deceptive for the Ogre's giant figure.

Sensing the power in this attack, Leon quickly dived out of the way, just narrowly escaping the blow and it was a good thing he did so as when Leon looked back, he could see the miniature crater the blow had created in the ground.

Quickly getting back to his feet, Leon slipped through the monster's legs before slashing at its heel once again.

The moment his spear connected, a deep gash quickly formed as dark red blood sprayed from the wound.

"Roar"

The ogre was furious!

It's red eyes locked onto Leon.

It was this hateful little dwarf that kept hurting it!

It wanted to crush it. It wanted to squash it like the bug it was!

Without thinking anymore, the ogre lashed out as its fist smashed down at Leon.

The sight of a furious, attacking ogre was enough to give even the most experienced of warriors a heart attack, but instead of panicking, Leon just watched on calmly with a slight smirk on his face.

Leon stared down fist and the last second, just before the fist touched his nose, he slipped past it!

He was so close that Leon could feel the wind brush against his face.

As soon as the fist hit the ground, Leon leapt up and landed on the ogre's arm and quickly scaled the beast and thanks to his silk step boots, running up a beast was just like walking across the floor.

As soon as Leon started climbing it, the ogre felt something wrong, but it was already too late.

Leon had completely caked the ogre and with his two feet resting on the shoulders of the ogre, he brandished his spear, thrusting it deep into the neck of the ogre.

As soon as the spear entered, it quickly punctured a major artery, causing what could only be described as a geyser of blood to burst all over Leon.

"Roar!"

Despite being mortally wounded, the terrifying vitality of the ogre made it so that it could still move.

Before Leon even realised what was going on, he felt a terrifyingly firm hand wrap around his entire leg.

'Shit!' Thought Leon.

As soon as the ogre grasped Leon, it quickly smashed Leon's body into the ground.

"Boom!"

But just one attack wasn't enough to quell the ogre's hatred.

Raising its arm high into the sky, it brought it back down with an even stronger might.

"Boom!"

With no end in sight, the ogre quickly raised its arms again.

But just when everyone thought that it was over for Leon, The ogre suddenly froze and raised its other arm to its neck with what could only be described as fear in its eyes.
