A devastating explosion that destroyed half of the mansion occurred in an instant.

Basem found himself in Zig's embrace as she protected him from the falling debris. "Are you okay young sir?" asked Zig anxiously "I am fine what about you Zig?" asked Basem trembling at the thought of Zig getting hurt " I am fine young sir just some scratches "said Zig trying to crack a smile but failing miserably due to the pain. Basem got out of Zig's embrace to search for pain killer to give Zig but all he saw was destruction, he saw rocks and dust everywhere in simple terms half the mansion was in ruins.

Not knowing what to do Basem was desperate to find anything to help Zig even if it was little, just as Basem was despairing he saw a silhouette coming through the dust with a fast speed he was about to scream when the silhouette put his hands on his mouth to prevent him from screaming Basem tried to kick the assailant but stopped when he saw assailant brown honey eyes.

"Are you okay son?" asked Basil with his eyes peeled on his body searching for any hidden injury but sighed in relief when he found nothing." I am a fine dad but Zig is injured "

Informed Basem anxiously. Basil moved towards Zig while carrying Basem." hey Zig dad is here and you are gonna be okay " said Basem trying to cheer Zig up but Zig was unresponsive "Zig hey ZIG" yelled Basem tears welling in his eyes " Basil kept checking Zig for any life-threatening injuries and after he finished he patted Basem on his back to calm him down"Dont worry she just fainted from blood loss she will be okay "

Basem calming down asked his dad about what happened but his only response was that he was too young to know. Carrying Basem and Zig on his shoulders Basil went towards the garage the only safe place left out of the mansion, Entering u could see 4 cars 2 SUVs that looked more like an insurgent rather than an SUV, and 2 Mercedes sedans.

Taking the key of one of the SUVs looking insurgents which was an Audi rsq8 customized in techlex for military purposes. He opened the car and put Zig down in the rear seat gently and got Basem in the front passenger seat Basem put on safety sealt himself, starting the car the exhaust sound was enough to wake up the whole neighborhood but that wasn't the time to care about that.

Cruising through the city of Miami," Where are we going "asked Basem curiously "First we will go to the hospital for Zig to receive treatment then will head to your grandfather Zephyr in Brasilia" Hearing what his father said reminded Basem of the single meeting he had with his grandfather, his grandfather was a kind soul with a stern face that scare children that were the thoughts of 4-year-old Basem at their first and only meeting he didn't get to talk to his grandfather as the meeting was mostly his father and grandfather shouting at each other but what made Basem think that his grandfather was a kind soul was the pain he saw in his grandfather eye for shouting to his father.

After reaching the hospital Basil dropped Zig off and made some phone calls to ensure her safety and they left for the airport. arriving there they mounted a techlex private plane, it was a luxurious modern plane that made u feel safe flying in.

The trip took 8 hours, arriving there they found 3 blacked-out BMWs X6M and several bodyguards with futuristic rifles waiting for them in front of the airport. Joining the semi cavern they reached a similar mansion to Basil's mansion.

Entering the courtyard they heard"What made you come back" Looking towards the sound " they saw an old man with a white beard, thick brows, and a straight strong back looking at Basil coldly "Later we have to get Basem out of sight first" said basil emotionlessly. Zephyr looking at his son and grandson dishevelled and dusted cloth made his eyes dilate a little but he regained his composure instantly and asked the maids to take them inside.

Basem passing by Zephyr flashing a smile said "Hello grandfather good to see you again" and waved at him goodbye and entered the mansion. Zephyr stood there frozen at his grandson's warm smile and he kept mumbling "he is happy to see me" Then he started laughing like a madman making his servants look at him weirdly but nobody said a word as they knew the consequences.

In the room dedicated to "house guests", even though they were told that both son and father knew that this room was made solely for Basem's use as there is everything Basem liked in the room a big bed, grey blanket, boxes we all needed equipment and metals of all kinds ready to be used for an invention if this is not Basem room then there is none.

After looking around the room Basil got Basem to change his clothes and get ready to sleep, under the blanket Basem looked at his father's face which looked like it had aged a couple of years and he felt his heartache and he vowed that he would find what happened at the mansion and who were the black afros.

Basil seeing his son under the blanket told him goodnight and was about to leave when Basem asked him to sleep with him as was scared of today's shenanigans, listening to his reason Basil had to comply and got under the blanket beside Basem, Basem asked him to tell him stories about his time in military and Basil complied starting with how he joined the military.

Listening to the son-father duo talking warmly zephyr ordered no one to disturb the duo and went back to his office with a nostalgic smile.

40 minutes into the story Basil saw his son sleeping soundly so after making sure that he was covered well he left the room silently and went to Zephyr's office.

The next morning Basem woke up filled with energy he got off the bed and headed to the bathroom after washing his face and teeth as he found a brand new toothbrush ready for him on the sink, finishing cleaning up he went outside and asked the servant where is father but all he got was a sympathetic look feeling confused he asked where was his grandfather but this time they showed him the way. Going into his grandfather's office the first thing he noticed was the cigar smell filling the office then he saw shelves of books all around the room and a single desk filled with papers and an ashtray.

"Good morning grandfather," said Basem smiling as he entered, Zephyr kept looking at him for a couple of seconds then opened his mouth "Your father left early this morning and he left you a message telling you not to search for him and left you this letter " "what…!" Basem's brain shortcuts at the not so expected response he got. seconds in Basem starts saying shakingly "You are lying right please tell me you lying grandfather" but sadly all he got is a face that says do I look like I am joking seeing this Basem starts crying .perplexed about what to do zephyr just took Basem on his lap and kept patting him.

Suddenly the world started shaking a little and the real Basem knew that this was the end of the dream. Waking up to the noise of the metallic door banging.
