2 - Roommates

As Jack is walking out of the living room and into the hallway he notices to his right a small hallway that has a door at the end as soon as he exits the living room. On the other side of that small hallway is what looks to be a dining room/kitchen.

'This layout looks vaguely similar to a house I've seen somewhere but I can't remember where.'

he thought as he continued down the long hallway noticing another entryway that is right next to the front door that leads to another 2 doors with closets in between the doors.

'Please be a beauty and not some old man' Thought Jack as he neared the front door and saw the doorknob starts turning.

'I don't think I'll be able to stay sane having to live with another man.'

Soon after that thought, the door opened and a little girl ran in through Jack followed by a woman and a man entering and closing the door behind them carrying groceries.

"Slow down Angelica, what have I told you about running in the house." the woman sternly said to the child.

"Honey she's just a kid and full of energy, let her get it out before she goes to bed." the man defended the girl as he looked lovingly at his girls.

"But... "

"Mommy, Daddy left the T.V on!!" the woman about to argue with the man is interrupted by her daughter. After hearing what she said the woman glared at the man

"How many times do I have to tell you to make sure you turn off everything before you leave to not raise our electric bill!" The woman yelled as she turned on a light switch for them to see.

"I did... Angelica!! Come here now!" The man started calmly and then yelled for his daughter as he cautiously handed the groceries to his wife.

"Be careful David." said the woman in realization with groceries now in hand as she saw him looking startled and walking fast to the living room. All this while Jack is watching them out of the corner of his eyes as he watched his experience go up by 5% and he saw that he had used 5 energy just to click the T.V button.

" What's wrong daddy?" the little girl asked from the living room passageway.

"Go help your mother with the groceries." The man gently grabbed her and pulled her back behind him and lightly pushed her toward her mother. He then looked around the living room for anything out of place, but he did not see anything. David then walked out and to the kitchen all the while looking for any signs of intrusion while his wife and daughter followed behind him.

'It's just a T.V on. it's not like the door or a window was broken, why are you so cautious? oh, man am I jealous of you bro.' Jack thought, following as well while checking out the mother. she was a blonde bombshell with big curves in all the right places.

"I don't see anything out of place." the man said as he looked around the dining room and kitchen.

"Are you sure you didn't leave it on?" asked the woman suspiciously while putting the groceries on the kitchen counter with the child standing on her tiptoes trying to help.

"uh. Ye-Wait no... yes.. probably." stuttered the man unsurely as he thought hard and tried to remember.

"Any way you stay here and put the groceries away while I check the basement and bedrooms." ordered the man embarrassed. He then started walking back toward the living room unknowing of his follower Jack.

'Might as well get a tour of my new home for the time being.' thought Jack as he reluctantly stopped checking out the wife who is putting away groceries together with her child.

"I swear I turned it off before we left." Jack listened to the man mutter as he reached the entrance to the living room and glanced at the T.V.

'haha.' Jack chuckled at the man's expense as he walked to the door on the other side of the kitchen. the man opened the door with Jack peeking over his shoulder. The room looked to be the master bedroom where he and his wife slept.

"Nothing looks out of place here." Said David as he looked around his bedroom and bathroom.

'Nice Comfy bed, buddy' Thought Jack as he inspected everything around as the man walked around.

David saw that no one or thing was in his room so he exited and walked to the front door and went right to check his daughter's room. The room was relatively small so he peeked his head in and saw nothing so he closed the door and went to the next door and headed inside downstairs to the basement.

Jack who was still following his unknowing tour guide saw the man flip a switch by the bottom of the stairs to turn the lights on and had a devious idea.

'Ha, I'll wait until he goes further in.'

David walked in and started glancing left and right when suddenly he heard a switch flip.

"FUUUCC!!" The man jumped in startlement and glanced in fright at the stairs only to not see anything even with the light coming in from upstairs.

'Hahahahaha.' Meanwhile, as the man almost shat himself, Jack rolled on the floor laughing his guts out.

"Huuu. Fuu." The man taking breaths and exhaling heavily stumbled his way in the dark back to the stairs stepping through Jack and giving Jack a big fright himself, The man reached the light switch and turned it on again.

"Dear is everything ok!?!" the man heard his wife yelling from the kitchen having heard the man's scream.

"I'm fine Sarah! Just tripped." The man embarrassingly said as he looked around the basement again.

"Damn spooky basement is gonna kill me one of these days. Did it get colder all of a sudden?" The man muttered as he shivered feeling Jack's presence. He then flipped the switch off and started going up the stairs to reassure his wife.

'I could get used to this.' thought Jack as he eventually got himself together and looked at his status while following the man back up the stairs.
