19 - Investigators

The next morning the family did their morning routine and were currently sitting at the table eating while Jack watched on.

"I'm going to get off of work early and head to the ghost hunters' location and ask if they can come here to investigate. " David explained to his wife.

"Alright, maybe we can learn more about ghosts from them as well. " Sarah thought that if they knew more then they could help Jack.

Jack heard this and decided to spend his energy by moving things around while David left and Sarah took angelica to the bus stop.

Later that day after David got off of work early, He drove to the area where the Advertisement said the ghost hunters were going to investigate live.

As he approached the place he saw 4 guys, 2 of them holding cameras and they appeared to be filming a scene.

David parked not too far away, got out, and then started walking to them.

As he approached, one of them saw him and pointed him out to the others.

David approached with cameras pointed at him as one of the guys who looked to be the main face of the team waited for him.

"Uh hello, I'm sorry to bother you guys but I just wanted to ask if you could help me. " David said hesitantly, not sure if they would help him.

"Sure no problem, my name is Zachary you can call me Zach, what's the matter?" the Leader asked David, He felt relieved that they would hear him out.

"Well I saw an advertisement on TV saying you were doing a live investigation here, I was wondering if you could help investigate my place." David started as he looked at them, he saw no objection on their faces so he continued.

"There have been so many things happening in just the last week and we don't know what to do. " David explained.

"Ok... can you tell me a little more about what has been happening?"

"A lot of things, constantly. just yesterday I was watching TV and my daughter invited the ghost to watch with us... this is going to sound crazy... but I saw it with my own eyes." David started to inform Zach but then hesitated, he didn't want to be called crazy.

" Don't worry, we have seen a lot of things we can't explain." Zach comforted him.

"Okay... After my daughter invited the ghost, it took the remote out of my hand, floated to an empty spot next to my daughter on the couch, and then started flipping channels. " David said after taking a deep breath.

"Wow, that's... wow. Things like this happen often?"

As David explained the faces of the 4 started changing into disbelief, they couldn't believe that a spirit was that powerful.

"That's not all my family has seen a dark shadow standing in the house, balls of light flying around, we have heard someone speak out loud and it wasn't any of us present in the room that we could see."

"I've even been touched multiple times. "

"The T.V would turn on randomly, things around the house would move, doors opened and slammed, and footsteps but no one was there. "

"Some of these things were right in front of our eyes."

As David continued stating things that had happened, the 4 turned from disbelief into seriousness.

"You saw this all with your own eyes? Not even using video cameras or pictures?" One of the other men asked.

"Yes. " David said seriously

"Has anyone been harmed?" Zach was concerned and asked.

"No, no, we don't think it is bad or anything. We think it even helped us when someone broke into our house a couple of nights ago."

"Do you have any proof of this? Pictures? Videos?" Zach started doubting him, this much activity is insane.

"No." David looked worried. He hoped they believed him and didn't think he was crazy.

The four investigators started looking at each other for a while, whispering and after a small talk, Zach finally decided.

"Listen I'm going to send James here to your house, I want him to do a quick session to see if what your saying is true. if it is we'll stop our investigation here and investigate your house instead because this sounds seriously incredible, although I believe you it's not enough to just stop our investigation here without proof." Zach said as he gestured to a man that was holding a camera.

"Sure, no problem, when can you go?" David asked excitedly

"Right now, if it's alright with you. " James replied.

"Of course, I appreciate it. " David said thankfully.

David and James walked to David's car and got in.

" Oh yeah, we have performed a seance with an ouija board too." David said as he forgot to mention it.

"What kinds of questions did you ask?" James curiously asked

"Well, we asked how many spirits were in the house. the board responded with one."

"Then we asked the name of the spirit and got the name, Jack." David said

"And no one has ever been hurt or scratched right?" James asked for clarification because this level of activity for a normal human spirit is unusual.

"As far as I know yes."

"Do spirits normally attack the living?" David asked

"Well, no but spirits with the power to do everything you said are usually demons or evil spirits." James explained to David.

" As I said I don't think Jack is evil and I'm sure he helped save my daughter when we had an intruder the other night." David explained.

"Can you tell me what happened?"James asked.

"Sure, I was chasing the intruder out of the house when he caught my daughter coming out of her room because of the fuss."

"He took her captive and threatened me. But suddenly it looked like he couldn't control his body or something just froze and forced him to let my daughter go." David explained the situation.

"Sounds like a possession..." James mumbled

"Yeah, it was like he was struggling against something that was controlling him." David overheard him and agreed.

"Anyways we are almost at my house we weren't that far anyways. That's part of the reason why I chose to come after I saw that advertisement."

"I'm looking forward to seeing it if everything you said is true." James smiled excitedly as he spoke. He loved to see paranormal things and gather documentation of life after death. It gives him a thrill through fear.
