Archon War

*Fuuu* The wind pushing the group disappeared, all of them landing at the doors of Mondstadt, over the storm wall.

"We need to hurry!" Allen clenched his new lyre and started playing it "Oath of Eternal Freedom!♪"

"If someone plucks out your tongue, you can still sing with your eyes♪"

"If someone blinds you in both eyes, you can still see with your ears♪"

"If someone conspires to destroy tomorrow, then raise them a glass♪"

"For even if tomorrow dies..."

The song sounded extending everywhere with strength, crossing even the strong gales. Inside Mondstadt, everyone could hear the song, all their gazes turning towards it, seeing the storm wall around Mondstadt cracking it.

'This is no wall to protect. It's a cage to trap' "...this song shall live on!♪"

*Boom!* the storm wall dispersed, completely disappearing under the shocked gaze of everyone, letting them see the sky beyond for some of them for the first time. There was no blizzard or snow, but stormy clouds covered it fully.

"The blizzard and danger were all lies, Decarabian's machinations to keep you trapped♪" Allen's group entered the city, Allen singing. "He is a tyrant with no love for this land, with the only obsession to command♪"

"But people of Mondstad, do not have fright! Because our freedom will shine!♪"

The people of Mondstadt were shocked, still processing what happened now. The destruction of the wall, the truth of Decarabian's rules. But was the little bard, telling truths or fabricated lies?

"Amos" Ragn cut Amos's ropes, releasing her as he pushed her bow to her "You know what to do."

Amos was also shocked by everything, but having seen with her own eyes Decarabian trying to kill them while Andrius sacrificed his life, she knew what to do.

"This bard tells no lies!" Amos stepped forward "Decarabian is a tyrant that had lied to everyone! He caused this war and put everyone in danger for his own gains, only wanting to dominate us!"

Listening to Amos who was the leader of Decarabian's soldiers and his lover, everyone was convinced that the bard's words were true, all their gazes falling under him. "For Freedom!"

Shouts of rebellion extended all over the city, all demanding Decarabian's fall.

*BOOM!* A loud explosion was heard over the tallest tower, Decarabian landing over it "So I was too late" Decarabian gritted his teeth.

"PEOPLE OF MONDSTADT!" Decarabian's powerful voice resounded all over Mondstadt "YOU WHO HAVE DECIDED TO ABANDON MY GRACE, WILL TAKE MY ANGER INSTEAD!"

*BANG* A swirling wind was created over all Mondstadt, a tornado forming over the sky as multiple little tornados pierced over the ground. From the tornados, Anemo Slimes, Anemo Hypostasis, Anemo Samachurl, Eyes of the Storm, all types of Anemo monsters surged from it, barring their fangs to the people.

"IF I DON'T HAVE YOUR DEVOTION, I'LL HAVE YOUR FEAR!" Decarabian declared.

"People of Mondstadt take up your arms and fight for freedom, do not fright, 'cause we will free this kingdom!♪" Allen played the lyre, creating an ascending current, causing Fischl, Ragn, Elf and himself to fly towards the tower.

"If someone plucks out your tongue, you can still sing with your eyes!"

"If someone blinds you in both eyes, you can still see with your ears!"

Everyone sang in unison, joining the Lawrences and Gunnhildrs in their defense against the monsters.

*FUSH!* From the sky a new star appeared, the 5th star shining brightly over Allen and Elf.

"Even now you try to threaten me. You will all die!" Decarabian summoned a tornado with his arms, throwing it to the group.

"Time for retribution!" Fischl flew in the front, extending her hands invoking a green barrier in front of her, however, this one was different than the usual. The barrier absorbed completely the tornado, shooting it back toward Decarabian.

"HG!" Decarabian backed, receiving the backslash of his own attack.

'He has become far weaker!' Allen realized that his deduction has been correct. Taking the devotion and Faith of the people of Mondstadt, causing them to rebel, had caused Decarabian's power to decrease.

"My light shines a new destiny!" Fischl shot an Anemo arrow with her bow, condensing Oz on it. That was Fischl's limit, having used all her strength, she fell to the ground.

"That won't do anything!" Decarabian declared, stopping the arrow with his left hand without much difficulty, however, damaging him was never the reason behind the attack. That arrow was a guide, Ragn and Allen with Elf flying at an immense speed following its trail and reaching Decarabian.

"Dammit flies!" Decarabian thrust his right hand, shooting a tornado towards them.

"I leave it to you!" *Paf* Ragn pushed Allen, taking him out of the attack's range while letting himself be swallowed by it, being crashed over the city, unable to move.

*Pa* Allen landed next to Decarabian who was completely open after both attacks.

"You will unable to break through my Divinity!" Decarabian declared as a thin layer of green energy surrounded his body permanently, protecting him from any attack.

"It could be impossible for me, but I am not alone!" Allen used all his strength over his lyre, thus forming a sword made of Anemo and Cryo.

"STORMEYE♪!" Allen's sword howled as Andrius, absorbing all the wind around, as he slashed at Decarabian,.

*Cr* Decarabian saw incredulous as his Divinity was broken, the sword cutting his flesh and blood surging from it, but unfortunately, Allen had been too tired of the continue fighting, his strength not being enough to mortally damage him. Allen fell to his knees exhausted.

"In the end, I win!" Decarabian declared, even with his defense and posture completely broken and he greatly injured, there was no one to attack.

"You forgot of one." Allen grinned "Our archer."

Decarabian's eyes went wide as an arrow appeared in his view, targeting his head.

"Amos" Decarabian realized the only one capable of this shot from Mondstadt's plaza.

*Pa* After shooting the arrow, Amos fell to her knees "Sorry! Sorry!" She cried while apologizing.

Allen's eyes went wide with the result, Amos's arrow which should have killed him only grazed Decarabian's cheek, failing to injure him.

"In the end, I couldn't do it!" Amos cried.

'Stupid bitch!' Allen cursed.

*BOOOM!* wind exploded around Decarabian who had time to recover, pushing Allen's exhausted body aside, crashing to the ground.

*Bang!* Decarabian kicked the ground, launching over Mondstadt's plaza and landing just in front of Amos.

"Sorry, sorry!" Amos tried to clean her tears "My head knew everything that Decarabian had done, but I can lie to my heart"

"Amos" Decarabian called warmly at her.

"I love you, Decarabian" Amos declared with tears. She was well aware of everything that the tyrant had done, but that did not change the moments with him and her love over so many years as his lover.

"I love you too, Amos" Decarabian hugged warmly at Amos "You were always my number 1. But..."

*Pa!* Decarabian's hand pierced through Amos's heart.

"M-my l-love" Amos slowly said while blood surged from her lips.

"...I can't tolerate treason. Your devotion and Faith were the strongest ones, but only one person in the end. Die in peace." Decarabian retreated his hand, letting Amos's body fall to the ground.

'In the end, my love was always one-sided. Only being one more for him.' Amos closed her eyes, tears leaving from it 'You were right Andrius. I was too late.'

*Tuck* Amos fell to the ground lifelessly.

"E-elf" the young bard called the little spirit weakly, even that little talking putting great pressure on his injured and close to the limit of his body while Elf flew all around him, trying to help him.

"I-i have a wish, Elf" the bard declared shocking the Elf whose eyes went wide.

"No!" Elf talked for the first time to the young bard "Escape. You still can. I'll use all my strength."

"No, Elf" the bard shook his head "I-i knew the truth behind this war and the reality that you wanted to avoid. But there's no other way. I-if someone must fall here. I-i want it to be me."

"Elf, g-grant my wish" Tears fell from Elf's eyes as he nodded slowly.

"Thanks to trust in me, Elf" The bard smiled "I desire my song to be sung eternally, my song of Freedom!"

...

"PEOPLE OF MONDSTADT, THAT'S THE PRIZE OF YOUR REBELLION" Decarabian declared all over the city "BOW UNDER ME OR DIE LIKE THEM!"

*FUUUUSHHHHH* An enormous pillar of green light fell over the tower of Mondstadt as six stars shined brightly over the sky, these ones ordering around and forming the image of a youth playing a lyre.

"YOUR PATH HAS BEEN DECIDED, CARMEN DEI! (God's Song)" A loud divine voice sounded all over the place.

"CLAIM YOUR NEW THRONE AND BE RENAMED" From the tower, inside the pillar a young figure raised, floating over the sky "BARBATOS!"

*BOOOM!* A loud explosion dispersed the wind and light around, revealing the young figure, similar to the young bard, but with aqua-green eyes and green hair high-ends, wearing a white clothes with a hood over his head and big wings at his back, his dressing quite similar to Elf's attire.

"A-allen" Fischl lifted weakly her head seeing the one raising up.

However, for every people at Mondstadt seeing him, it did not matter how much he resembled the young bard, the celestial aura and power exuded from him were nothing a mere mortal could have. It was clear, he was a god.

"♪" The new god, Barbatos, played his Holy Lyre der Himmel.

"If someone plucks out your tongue, you can still sing with your eyes.♪" The song resounded all over the people's hearts.

"If someone blinds you in both eyes, you can still see with your ears.♪" Their eyes shining with hope and devotion, listening to it.

"But if anyone dares to steal your song, the freedom you yearn for," Barbatos lyre changed form, forming a sword made of wind and blizzard.

"YOU THINK BECOMING A GOD IS THE END!" Decarabian shouted in anger, launching toward Barbatos, his own body becoming a tornado himself trying to destroy Barbatos. "I'LL KILL YOU!"

"— That alone, that alone SHALL NEVER DO♪!" Barbatos swung the sword, the slash completely cutting Decarabian's in half along his stormy clouds, revealing the blue sky.

"I-impossible!" Decarabian said weakly as his body started dispersing, completely shocked by the sheer power of the new god. He couldn't understand until his gaze fall on the people of Mondstadt. In their eyes, there was no trace of fear for him only praise and hope for the new god.

'After so much time, so much effort. I end like this' The first light of the sun in years fell over Mondstadt, illuminating Decarabian's dispersing body.

'Maybe the blue sky is not so bad' Decarabian's body disappeared with the wind, leaving nothing behind.

*Shing!* From the sky, multiple stars shined brightly with the Storm God constellation shining the brightest.

*FIUUUUU!* All the stars started to fall over the land, all of them falling into Barbatos's hands, condensing an intense green sphere that shined brightly with power. Once the Starfall ended, the sphere took form, becoming something similar to a green Queen chess piece.

"HAIL THE ONE WHO CLAIMED THE HIGHER THRONE" The divine voice sounded again, but this time is wasn't only at Mondstadt, but announcing it all over Teyvat "THE NEW ANEMO ARCHON, BARBATOS!"

Barbatos took the piece with a sad expression, his unforgettable memories with the youth replaying in his mind. "Your song shall never die" He took his Holy Lyre, playing it.

"♪Should you be trapped in a Windless Land♪" Barbatos sang the song forming gentle winds over the destroyed city after the battle, cleaning the soul and hearts of the people and going further away, leaving the city and becoming powerful gales that pushed the cold and snow away, terraforming all the region, destroying mountains and corruption over their path, greenery starting to appear again.

With a blue sky cleaned of any cloud and a greeny land devoid of snow, a new Mondstadt was born.
