Prologue (III)

Morax summoned his Vortex Vanquisher with a stern expression in his eyes

"For the sake of Liyue and the Contract, I will end his rampage right here and right now." he thought to himself.

Meanwhile, Virgil with the Harbinger on his hand took a deep breath. Using the Dragonforce alongside his weapon was his trump card, and at the current state of his body he only has two minutes before his body crumbles and he dies of his wounds.

Although he was able to defeat the dragon, Azhdaha, he received grave wounds, furthermore, Dragonforce consumes his stamina. He did his best to survive, he has no regrets.

"If I were to die in this battle, then I would drag Morax to hell with me," he told himself.

At this moment, Azhdaha who was watching on the sidelines, alongside the remnants of the geovishaps under his command wanted to see only one thing; The fall of the man who led the expedition around Teyvat, expanding the power of his empire.

"Let's End this Dragonborn." Morax spoke

"As you wish, Archon" Virgil replied

The two warriors ran towards each other and their weapons met.

Mortal weapon vs A divine weapon clashed, the ensuing shockwave was able to drove back the geovishaps.

"Retreat!" Morax shouted to the geovishaps.

But before Morax could finish his commands, Virgil's slender acrobatic style of combat allowed him to snatch Vortex Vanquisher away from the Archon and landed a solid downward strike, but Morax's shield was cast.

"You are a thousand years too early for this. Dragonborn." remarked Morax.

Unknown to Virgil, the Geo Archon created a snake out of sand and it surged forward. It's mission was to prevent the Dragonborn from reaching the Archon before casting a new shield.

"Tsk, I miscalcuated" Virgil spoke to himself, by this point the Dragonforce consumed much of his magic power, but instead of lazily waiting for an opportunity, it's better to find out the best possible outcome with his limited time left.

Morax chose a strategy to guard and counterattack, and wait for the Dragonforce to diminish, it was a by-the-book strategy that Virgil's opponents have used and the latter was accustomed to.

But before Virgil could make another move, Several Stone Stele's sprung forth from the sands that he was standing.

"MORAX!" Virgil yelled and tried to break the barrier

"Dragon." before he could finish, the aftereffects of the forbidden technique presented themselves, before he could make a move his body started to glow, blood ruptured from all parts of its body.

Morax and Azdaha who were outside the barrier watched as Virgil was now in intense pain.

"What is happening Morax?" asked the Behemoth.

Virgil's body started to breakdown

"The Dragonforce is a power exclusive to the Dragons and Dragonborn, from what I've heard a technique of such caliber doesn't have any drawbacks. It was one of the few reasons why their clan reigned supreme in Teyvat before the birth of the Archons who fought them." replied Morax, "Then did Celestia's Archon mistook him for the wrong person?" asked Azhdaha.

"That I do not know, but the contract must be fulfilled."

Virgil gazed at the Archon and the Behemoth, his sight was fuzzy and his mind was going blank.

"Avenge.."

The Stone Stele barrier erected to stop him vanished.

Morax stared at the fallen warrior and spoke in words, Virgil couldn't hear it.

However, from his faint vision, he could grasp what was happening...

"In the End, What the god of contracts wants was ORDER."

A giant meteor that blazed like the sun, began its descent. Its destination was him...

The general that aided in the expansion of the Empire into the inner regions would finally breathe his last.
