(The Academy)

The fight that ensued was nothing to go on about, as it mainly consisted of the thug being maimed and crushed with Jero's pinky.

"Alright, now he's taken care of, It's time to head to the academy" sighed Jero as he clapped the dust off his hands, "Here you go, barkeep... To pay for the damages." He tossed over a bag full of gold coins.

Jero was now 15 years old and was eligible for the academy's entrance exam. He was dressed very similarly to the man in the white robes, (Which he now called father) in fact, they wore the exact same outfit; the only difference being that Jero's cloak was black with gold fringes.

The insignia on his hood was similar to his 'fathers' but had some subtle differences. The insignia was gold and was made of small, detailed dragons.

Humming as he walked out, Jero was in a good mood, after all, he was going to join the academy. He smiled as he reached the teleportation platform. He requested to get to the capital. For security purposes, he had to show his identity, and proof of citizenship.

The story on how he got those is a bit long, but to put it in short terms, his 'father' pulled them out of his spatial ring, which he gave to Jero on his 14th birthday.

"Prepare to teleport to the academy sir, could you please put up your hood, as that may not teleport if it isn't in contact with your body..." Jero complied, as he went away.

'Blip'

"You have arrived at your destination." The robotic voice said, "Please enjoy your stay at the academy!"

Jero nodded and looked about the school's teleportation platform. Many technicians ran about, preparing for the teleporting students to arrive. It looked like an ant hive. Noticing a group about to go through the exam, he quickly jogged there to partake.

"Alright, many of you are new to cultivation... That's ok, but we are going to test you based on it. Be prepared, and don't mess about." snapped the instructor, "Alright, no questions, and follow me!"

Luckily, Jero had not been late, and walked along with the group, quickly glancing about at the others. Most of them were in casual clothes, making Jero stick out like a sore thumb. 'Meh, it's fine, I don't mind attention' thought Jero, 'Anyways, I need my cloak for protection, there's no need for me to take it off to fit in.'

He was here to see if he could learn something or make friends, not to conform to the majority or be meek like a mouse.

9 more to go... Dang, this will take a while...
