Chapter 29: Free Falling

"Yo Izumi. So, have you gone to Shinjuku, and started killing people?"

"I've just arrived here in Shinjuku. I was about to start. What about you?"

"I just got my breakfast. So, just take your sweet time to kill some people. I will go there after I finish my breakfast."

"..." Is this guy being funny? thought Izumi. He was being serious here, but that guy was leisurely taking his own sweet time to have a breakfast.

"Don't regret it if you found many dead people here in Shinjuku."

"No no no. It's okay. Just go kill as many as you can. Also, remember to count your total kill." replied Kurono.

Izumi ended the call. Whatever, let's just start the killing. Izumi then headed out to his psychopath roads.

Today, Kishimoto came to Kurono's house. This added some liveliness to the house. So, Kurono didn't want this happiness to be ruined, by telling the two girls about Izumi, on how he is about to massacres people in Shinjuku.

"Should we go out and have some fun?" Sakuraoka asked.

"A picnic... that's sounds fun. Kurono, let's go, let's go." Kishimoto was excited about going out with the two.

"Outing huh. Where would the two of you wanted to go?"

"Let's go to the beach. We can go swimming or just look at the scenery."

"Alright. Beach it is then." Kurono agreed to the girls. "By the way, don't forget to bring your suit together. We don't know when the Gantz will call us. It will be very dangerous if we got transferred without the suit."

They then prepared to go for a picnic. They prepared some foods, and clothes for their little picnic. After that they moved out by riding Sakuraoka's black honda civic.

After about an hour of driving, Sakuraoka parked her car within a car park, near a beach area. The three of them got off the car and find a good spots for their picnic.

The two girls were about to go swimming. However, they were stopped by Kurono. "Before we go for swimming, let's do some training."

"Wha!? Come on Kurono. Training is no fun." Kishimoto complained. "I want to go swimming."

"I want to go swimming too." Sakuraoka agreed with Kishimoto. "Come on Kurono. We have been doing so much training for the last two week. Let's just relax for just one day."

"Alright." Kurono complied to the two. Then, he remembered that Izumi might go find them. Should I left them for the time being, and go settle the score with Izumi? "On second thought, I will go to train for a bit. You two go swimming first."

After that, Kurono run away.

"Darn it. What with him? Always training, training and training. Did he not care about us?" Kishimoto pouted.

"Sigh. Let him be. I think he is most worried about us. That's why he keep doing the training." Sakuraoka tried to be the peacemaker.

The two continued their plan and go for swimming. As for Kurono, he was traveling on air, flying towards Shinjuku.

For the whole time after his night encounter with Izumi in their class, Kurono training like no tomorrow. This is in order to increase his stats as soon as possible.

Everyday, he will do push up, lifting weight, and many physical challenges in order to increase his strength. He did all of that until he reached his limit. With such rigorous exercise, it didn't take long for him to accomplish the one stats increment in his Strength.

After that, he did a speed exercise. His courses of speed training including hundred meters dash with time taken, challenging the fastest runner in many schools, and also running with a weight added on his body. Although it was a little longer for him to achieve the stat increment, it was still fast, as it only took him three days.

As for those remaining days before the Shinjuku incident, Kurono used that time to train in psychokinesis. For this aspect, he tried to do various things. Lifting as heavy burden as he can, moving as many things as he can, sensing the outside world without using eyes, doing as detailed task as possible without touching the equipment for that task, and many more.

It only took him less than a day to gain the stat increment. After that he received the rewards for completing Freya's mission, and boosted all his stats except charm.

After that, he still continue to train, mainly to increase his Intelligence. The training that he did most is flying as high as he can, and as fast as he can. With the additional stats in intelligence, he could now fly for a longer period of time, and faster than before.

Strength: 70

Dexterity: 58

Intelligence: 68

Charm: 10

After training so much in psychokinesis, Kurono managed to increase his Intelligence stat to an amount that surpassed his Dexterity, and almost comparable to his Strength.

At this time, Kurono was still flying towards Shinjuku. Suddenly, his phone rang. It was from Izumi.

"Hello. Are you done with the killing?"

"Actually I've something to show you."

"What is it now? That night, you spoke about showing me something. Are you trying to show me that black ball again?"

"I'll send you the picture."

After that, Izumi ended the call, and then sent a picture. As Kurono checked the picture, his eyebrows creased into a frown. In the picture, Shinozaki was tied on a chair, and she was in a state of unconscious.

"So, what do you think?"

"I just wanted to know, how did Shinozaki suddenly appeared there in Shinjuku?" asked Kurono.

Izumi then explained, "I called her, telling her that you and me are here in Shinjuku. I told her that if she come, I will leave the two of you for an unexpected date. So, she agreed and came."

"...I see. So, what do you want?"

"Come. If you don't, I'll kill her."

"Alright, I'll come."

"Remember, don't wear you suit. Also, don't try to call the cops."

"Sure. Anything else?"

"You can bring your gun. Come to the first observation room in the government tower."

After that, the call was ended. Kurono looked at the picture on the phone for a while. He then sighed. "I'm already on my way to meet you. I even left my suit on the beach. Why do you still want to involve someone close to me.

If you really wanted to surpass me, then let me show you how terrifying I can be."

Kurono then flew as fast as he could. Not long later, he saw the government tower. He then flew up to a building that was some distance away from the government tower.

"Let's see where you are, Izumi. Telescopic eyes!"

With his Psychokinesis ability, Kurono enhanced the degree of distance that his eyesight could see. The moment he did that, the surrounding scenery moved as if being pulled to his back, while his sight travelled forwards. In just a second, his sight zoomed towards the first observation room of the government tower.

"I can't see them. There are too many obstacles. Let me go a little bit close."

Kurono jumped down of the building, and flew closer to the government tower. This time, Kurono stood up, just outside of the first observation room of the government tower.

"X-ray eyes!"

Kurono's eyesight travelled pass the wall, and saw Izumi standing just beside the unconscious Shinozaki. "Let me take away the hostage first."

Inside the room, Izumi was waiting for Kurono. While waiting, he talked to himself, "I must beat Kurono. I must surpass him. After that, I will be able to go to that room. It will be real soon."

Bam!!

A table suddenly flew and hit Izumi from the side. The hit forced him to fly away, and bump on the wall.

"Gah!!"

The crash caused some pain to Izumi's back, and shook his inner organ. He almost blacked out from the impact. It took him some time before he was able to stabilize himself. After that he looked at the surrounding. Suddenly, he realized that something is missing from the room.

"She is gone!"

Izumi's expression changed when he realized that his hostage suddenly disappeared from the room. At this time, he saw Kurono was walking into the room calmly.

"Are you the one who rescued her?" asked Izumi.

"Of course. It would be a pain in the ass if she is still here. You might change your mind and decide to kill her at the last minute."

When Izumi received the confirmation, he suddenly feel troubled. The situation is no longer in his favor. If Kurono is wearing the suit, his chances of winning will be higher than Izumi.

As if reading Izumi's thought, Kurono took off his clothes, and showed his bare upper body. He said, "Don't worry, I am not wearing the suit."

Izumi regained some of his confidence when he saw that Kurono was not wearing the Gantz suit. "I see. Then, I'll challenge you to a shooting duel."

"Sorry, I forget to bring my gun." Kurono shook his head. "However, even without my gun, you won't be able to defeat me."

Izumi frowned at Kurono's words. "Don't say that I didn't give you a chance. Now that you didn't bring your gun, you are going to die for sure."

Bang!

Izumi directly shot Kurono with the pistol in his hands. However, his expression changed when he saw the bullet stopped just a feet away from Kurono's head.

"Is not this... the ability of that guy?"

"You have seen this ability before, right? Moreover, you just killed two person who used this power, right?"

Izumi's expression turned grave. How did this guy know? Did he saw him killing those two? But, how was he able to use the same ability? Wait...just then, the table flew and hit me. Did he do that without me seeing him?

"You were lucky to fight them first. If you fought me first, then, you will no longer be here. You don't believe me? Let me prove it to you."

Saying so, Kurono pointed his index finger at Izumi, and then rised it, causing Izumi to be lifted up from the ground.

When he felt his body being lifted, Izumi's face turned solemn. He then hurriedly aimed his gun to Kurono, and shoot him consecutively. Though, the bullet only hit a chair, that flew up and blocked the shot.

"Let's go outside, and experience the feeling of flying." said Kurono. He then brought Izumi out of the room, while still shielding himself with three stacked chairs. As soon as the got out of the building, Kurono brought Izumi to the sky, and flew as high as possible.

After flying pass the white cloud, Kurono then stopped. He then looked at Izumi. Right now, Izumi was out of ammo, and his gun is now useless. Kurono smiled when he saw the guy was looking at him with a pale face.

"So, what do you think?"

"I...I lose."

"Is that so? By the way, have you ever been in a situation where you are experiencing a free falling?"

"Huh!?" It took Izumi half a second to process the information, and he totally paled whet he understood the meaning of Kurono's words.

"No? Then, you should experience it. Go!"

Kurono released Izumi from the influence of his psychokinesis, and the guy fall down at an increasing falling speed.

"Aaaahhhhh!!"

Izumi's shout followed him down towards the ground.

With a bam, Izumi crashed onto the ground, and his bloods and body parts splattered everywhere.

Kurono zoomed down to look at Izumi's situation. "Now, you know how terrifying I am."

[You killed a human, and no longer show any frown on your face. Are you already used to killit your own kind?]

"Ah, Dark. You are back."

[Yes. The Gantz is about to transfer everyone into the Gantz Room. You better be ready for the next hunt.]

"Is it the hunting time already? I better go back to the beach. I left my suit there."

After that, Kurono shot into the distance at the direction of the beach.
