[POV Lancel]

That same night, news arrived of the Battle of the Bells, in which House Stark, the Tullys, and the Arryns participated. It is still unknown how Robert Baratheon was injured, forcing him to hide in the Stone Sept. The battle was won against the royalist forces under Jon Connington's command. As for the rest of the war, perhaps I will arrive in time for King's Landing.

The next morning, I woke up early, packed my clothes in a sack, and placed my sword over my right shoulder. My sister is still asleep; I don't want to wake her and say goodbye to her to avoid seeing her cry. My mother is in the kitchen while my father waits in the dining room; he will take me to Sir Gerald Dayne, a distant relative of Lord Dayne.

"Good morning," I say, sitting in a chair near the dining room.

"Good morning, let's eat before we leave," Robert says, looking at my mother.

"Good morning," my mother says to me with a sigh after a while, without turning to look at me, her voice sounding choked up.

"Mother, I will send you a letter every month, so don't worry, I will be fine," I tell her, feeling down about the separation.

"Well, if not, I will come for you," my mother turns to look at me and says, placing the plates on the table.

After eating, I hug my mother and tell her to take care. Then I go to the bed where my sister Lisa is sleeping, kiss her on the forehead, and then leave the house with Robert to the port.

When we arrive, we see a fleet ready to set sail. There we see a young man about 14 years old with white hair and a strand of black hair, a sharp face, and a cruel smile. When he sees us arrive, he shows a mocking smile.

"This is the bastard I've been waiting for," Gerold says to us with a cruel smile.

"This is my son; Lord Dayne sends him to train at Sunspear," my father tells him, his face red with anger.

<The host must choose at this moment to be friends or enemies with Gerold Dayne>.

"Since his story is not clear in the books, I'm going to take him as my enemy, so I don't have to put up with his insults," I thought.

"Enemy," I tell the System.

<First 20 mission: 1) Kill Gerold Dayne before turning years old, if the mission is not completed, a power will be lost>.

"But what? What have I gotten myself into? This man seems to be good at fighting. I'll wait until I turn 19 to complete this mission," I thought.

Gerold throws a sealed document at Robert's face and boards the ship, which is about to depart.

"Take care, Lancel," my father tells me as he bends down to hug me, then he hands me the sealed document.

"Take care too, father, and don't anger my mother," I tell him, then quickly board the ship. Robert was stunned by the advice I gave him.

"System, why did you give me the mission to kill Gerold after I chose him as my enemy?" I ask the System, intrigued.

<Because there is wickedness in his gaze when he looks at the host, but host made right choice this time, as even being friend, could eventually betray their friendship,>.

"I thought the system would only torture me for powers, but it seems to be protecting me now," I thought.

[Third-person POV]

They've been at sea for a day, and Lancel has already vomited three times. His body is not accustomed to the movement of the ship at sea, as the stability is not the same as he was accustomed to in his world.

Elsewhere...

On the throne, the angry shouts of Aerys II Targaryen giving orders to Varys, the Spider, could be heard.

"Exile this useless man," Aerys II Targaryen tells Varys, referring to Jon Connington, "And strip him of his lands and titles."

"At your command, my King," Varys says, then leaves the castle to carry out the king's orders.

"Jonothor, Barristan, go to the Stone Sept and gather the remnants of the army," Aerys II Targaryen gives a direct order to his two White Cloaks.

"At your command, my King," both said before leaving his presence heading to the Stone Sept to carry out the orders.

"Lewyn, gather the ten thousand Dornish soldiers and join Prince Rhaegar at the Trident," Aerys II Targaryen tells him, after thinking about the message sent by Prince Rhaegar asking for Tywin Lannister's help, then looks at Jaime.

"Jaime, send a letter to your father to send his army to support the fight at the Trident," Aerys II Targaryen orders Jaime.

"At your command, my King," Jaime tells the King, then goes to the Maester's Tower to send the letter.

[Lancel POV]

The next day, we arrived at Sunspear, the ancestral home of House Martell. We disembarked at its port, then Gerold took the lead to enter the city and meet with Doran Martell.

Upon arriving at the castle, Gerold requested an audience with Doran Martell, which was granted. He looked at me again with disgust.

"Come with me," Gerold tells me through clenched teeth.

"Okay," I say, following him two meters away. Upon entering, we see Doran sitting in a chair; it seems he already has health problems.

"Greetings, my Lord," we say, kneeling.

"Stand up, Prince Doran."

"My cousin Lord Dayne sends his regards, along with the payment of last year's taxes," Gerold tells him, handing him a letter.

Doran reviews the letter, then invites Gerold to eat.

"Before we enter, my cousin sent a letter for you to do him the favor of finding a master for his bastard son," Gerold tells Doran, apparently unable to stand my presence. I immediately take out the letter and show it to Doran, who takes it and reads it, then smiles.

"It describes that you will be an excellent warrior; your master will be my brother Oberyn Martell," Prince Doran tells me, then orders a guard to take me to where Oberyn is.

[POV Oberyn Martell]

It has been some time since the War of the Usurper began, and my brother has me locked up. What I crave most is battle, so I have been training in the gardens. From afar, I see a guard approaching with a boy about 8 years old.

"Lord Oberyn, my Lord has sent this boy to be your student," the guard tells me, handing me a note with my brother's seal. It seems my brother wants to quell my thirst for battle by having me train this boy.

The boy has violet eyes and hair as black as tar, with pale skin. Although he looks delicate, I notice calluses on his hands, so I think he has already trained with a weapon.

"Whose son are you, boy?" I ask to know which Lord this boy belongs to.

"I am the bastard son of Lord Dayne," he tells me without any fear in his demeanor.

"And what is your name?" I ask, observing his reaction.

"Lancel Sand," he tells me without fear in his voice.
