Chapter 3- The Owner Of A System

I was the Boss of a system. It was a fantasy come true for many. After all the system wouldn't be going on for it's own goals now. No it would be trying it's best to do my goals. Of course it was still a system so it couldn't just give me items, but I could probably now get a mission made for just about anything. It was a boon all things to consider, and it was all mine.

However with all the things that had happened in that moment I had unexpectedly given my father a heart attack. I wished to take back that statement I decided for myself after looking at him more closely. The man had passed out from the shock of everything that had happened. He most likely thought for a moment I was attacking him when my hands had lit up as well. It was either that or he had recognized the forbidden skill I was using.

Truthfully It was most likely the latter, but I chose to ignore that option. Going closer to him I called out "maid" hoping to get that lady from earlier in here. Within a couple of seconds she came in with tea before she dropped it on the floor making a mess and running up to us. She checked my father's condition before casting a spell. It seemed to detect something wrong with his mind as the glow grew stronger trying to settle the problem. It appeared I had given the man trauma or something. The glow of the hands then pushed the memory away for eternity as it gave the man a new chance in life.

I knew I needed to be careful in the new skill filled side of society I found myself within. At the same time however I wished to ever so slightly show the skill to everyone to get in a fight. Of course I pushed the urge away within a second. I wasn't after all dumb enough to use a forbidden skill out in public. Especially after what had happened in this room.

After a couple more minutes the man woke up and got in his chair after hearing his maid's account over what had happened. The man in that second thought of a terrible possibility for the reason of his fright. "Have you lost all of your skills son?" Hearing the reason I sighed in relief inside my head. Of course I wouldn't show that so I gave a sad nod because it was true in a way. This body had lost all original skills it had possessed. Now instead I had a wide selection of possible things to use from my servant instead.

The man seemed to sigh in pity to himself he also went and picked up one of the games he had brought here. "Last time you went through every game here in this pile, but you never went into the hard part's of the games such as skills and perks and things that can be learned afterwards. Also you had only ever beaten the main story modes with the littlest amount of effort needed. You also never played multiplayer options as well. I suggest you try and take each game one at a time and build up a solid foundation of skills to rely upon."

With his speech over he left the room in a reasonable mess. He was wore out and the day seemed to just get worse for the person. I hoped such a caring father would one day meet with his son again. I just hoped it didn't require my death with it. With the morbid thought cast away I went over to the capsule and jumped in. I however didn't plug up myself to the console as I remembered an earlier system message. Sending my thought to the system It gave me a mental thumbs up in return.

" You have a good memory master. To access the games from the system just say digisynthesize. This will allow you to play the games you want out of your data bank after you chose the system you want to use. Your current choices are an arcade system for funnily enough Frogger, and the other is your current body's stuff. Thinking for a moment I decided to advance the system by playing Frogger. I just hoped I could get something decent out of this. I was after all playing something I had read in my History class as one of the first games to be created ever.

Truthfully I wasn't sure if I should be excited or annoyed a playing something so unadvanced, but I was happy period overall. I was after all finally going to get a chance to play a game. Something I had wanted to do for an extremely long time. Commanding the system to open that game I noticed my empty room start to warp all around me. Then I was in a small gaming room that was made for individual guests. I had a thought because of this though. "System is their other rooms with other system holders like me within this facility?"

The system gave a short yes to that. With that thought rampaging in my mind I halted all my hopes and dreams. "System doesn't that mean I won't be able to defeat all of these people here?" That however turned into a small worry when the system responded.

I am the original creater of all of these systems so of course you have it better here. In fact I can even allow you to move around this building unlike the other system users. That brought my panic attack as such to a stop and with a smile I paused with a mischievous grin at a future plan that started to work out in my mind. I would use the system to one day capture every single system within this place personally. They most likely have captured their host's body's by now so it is similar to a free buffet as long as I am strong enough to take them.

Deciding not to let it's host father such feelings he poured ice on me or at least mentally that was "Host I haven't told you this but your skill that you are using has requirements to use and also limits. Although their is no level cap on them each level of the skill only allows you to capture 10 souls to use. The reason for the small amount is that this is a rare skill now, and not a mythic tire skill the previous person used. Thankfully it still has the effect of capturing a soul with any strength as long as it doesn't have flesh or an anchor.

Still even with this not being my foreseeable future I was extremely excited about it being a possibility one day. Getting my mind focused on my current task I focused on the machine in the room. It was time to play Frogger like my life depends upon it, because in all likelihood it most likely would in this new society of mine.
