Chapter 32 - The Spider.

"I thank you for your loyalty Davos, as of today, you and your family are under my protection, but in addition to loyalty I hope to have you as a friend." Arthur spoke.

"Hahaha, who knew that one day I would be friends with the famous Blood Wolf" Davos said with amusement.

"I'll never get used to that name."

"By the way, Davos, tomorrow or the day after I will leave for the king's woods to solve a problem, when I return I need you to take me to White Harbor." Arthur spoke.

"Okay, I'll be ready when you call me." Davos spoke.

"Davos, can I ask you a question?"

"Clear." Davos replied with a smile.

"Do you happen to know how to read or write?." Arthur spoke.

"No, I never had the opportunity to learn." replied Davos in a sad tone.

"And would you like?" Arthur asked with a small smile.

"But of course!" exclaimed Davos.

"Okay, I'll have someone teach you and your family to read and write, and if you want, you'll also learn to do math." Arthur spoke with a smile.

"Thank you so much my lord, I thank you for me and my family." Davos spoke.

"Not at all, I have to have educated men around me, as soon as you learn to read, I'll give you some notes of mine about navigations." Arthur spoke.

"Are you interested in sailing too?" asked Davos curiously.

"Yes, I've always been passionate about the sea, so I've always sought to learn things that could be useful to me, but I never needed to use it, I believe that this knowledge in your hands will be better used." replied Arthur.

"I see, thank you my lord, I will do my best to make the best use of this knowledge." Davos spoke seriously.

"Okay, it's late, I have to get back to my friends." Arthur spoke as he got up from his chair.

"I accompany you."

Reaching the deck of the boat, Marya was nursing little Matthos. Dale and Allard were still running around the boat.

"Marya, it's nice to meet you, but I have to go now." Arthur spoke with a smile.

"Arthur, wouldn't you like to stay for dinner?" Mary asked.

"Unfortunately I can't, there are people waiting for me." Arthur spoke.

"I see, go carefully." Marya spoke with a smile, waving her hand.

"Thank you, take care." Arthur spoke.

"I'll be waiting for you." Davos spoke.

Nodding to Davos, Arthur got out of the boat, and walked over to where Kevin and Perseus were waiting.

"It's Done." He spoke Arthur to both of them.

"And how it was?" they asked.

"I managed to get them to join us." Arthur replied with a smile.

"Good! Davos seems like a good person, I just hope he's good at piloting a boat." Kevin spoke.

"I trust Elric's judgment, if he said Davos is a skilled person then he is." replied Arthur with a confident tone.

"And how were you with the girl you had your eye on?" Arthur asked Kevin in a malicious tone.

"Hahahahaha, you should have seen it, when Kevin started flirt on the woman, her husband showed up and started running all over the market after Kevin with a fish in his hand." Perseus spoke with a smile that went from ear to ear.

"Fuck Percy, you said you were just going to stay between us, where's your fucking knight code?" Kevin complained angrily.

"You just forgot one thing Kevin..."

"Which?"

"I'm not a knight yet."

"Motherfucker!!!" exclaimed Kevin, who was running after Perseus.

"Haha ha"

[POV VARYS]

"Here, now go" Varys spoke to a child, while putting a coin in his small and dirty hands, the child took the coin and quickly left the dark room.

Varys' room consists of three windowless chambers with a fireplace near the north wall, and in the corner of the wall was his bed made of stone.

Varys was sitting on a kind of wooden dressing table, with a mirror in the middle, and on top of it, various types of items, such as bottles, makeup and some items of possible disguise.

'Black and platinum hair with gray and violet eyes....'

'That description only fits one person, but what would he do here in King's Landing, just see a blacksmith? I find it very unlikely...'

'If I tell this information to the king, he will immediately think that he is a traitor who wants his head, and as much as he's a bastard, the Starks have a reputation for caring a lot about their family, even if it's a bastard, and if the king ends up killing him, it could cause a war with the north....'

'I think I'll tell someone else, I can face it with a test, if her actions please me maybe it's time to start thinking about a new course of action to follow.'

Varys looked into the mirror in front of her, dusted her face with a little powder, a little of her scent of lavender, lilac and rose water. He rose from his wooden chair, and headed out of the room.

Following the red-walled corridor, until he reached an open courtyard, where two men were talking.

"Ser Arthur, how is Ser Gerald? They said he was hit in the hand by someone from the Kingswood Brotherhood." A voice spoke.

"Yes my prince, Ser Gerald is being treated by Maester Pycelle himself, I believe he will be back to normal in a few weeks." replied Ser Arthur Dayne.

"I'm glad to hear this." He answered it himself.

"Prince Rhaegar, Ser Arthur." said Varys, bowing.

"Varys, what a surprise" Rhegar said with a sharp look.

"I was looking for you." Spoke Varys with a slight smile.

"And what does the Spider want from me?" Rhaegar spoke.

"I know something the prince will probably be interested in."

"And what would Varys be?" Rhaegar spoke, with the same look on his face, Arthur by his side was in full attention, thus showing the grudge they had against the spider.

"My birds whispered to me that the Blood Wolf is in King's Landing, I remember you showed interest when you heard what he looked like, I thought you'd be glad to hear that." Varys spoke, his slight smile still on his face.

Hearing what Varys said, Rhaegar's features changed from coldness to surprise.

"And where could I find him?" asked Rhaegar.

"My birds found him entering Tobho Mott's shop accompanied by someone else, the best blacksmith in King's Landing, his appearance caught their attention and then they came to say, I think he is staying somewhere in that region." Varys spoke.

"I see, I will pay a visit to that place." Rhaegar spoke, Varys nodded at Rhaegar.

"I have things to attend to, so if you'll excuse me, my prince, Ser Arthur." Varys said bowing again, and as he was about to go back the way he came, Rhaegar called out to him.

"Varys, tell me, is my father aware of this?" asked Rhaegar.

"I don't think that information would be of interest to my king." Varys spoke with a smile.

Hearing Varys' answer, Rhaegar nodded in confirmation.

"Wouldn't it be, go Lord Varys." Rhaegar replied, Varys bowed again and then disappeared down the red corridor.

"My prince, what do you think the Blood Wolf has come to do here in the capital?" asked Ser Arthur Dayne, not hiding his curiosity.

"I don't know, but I'll find out." Spoke Rhaegar with a smile.

Dialogues was something I didn't like to write a while ago and that was precisely one of the factors that made me lose the will to write, do you think it improved after the 2 month break?

Thanks.
