28. Combat tournament: Diana's fight

{Third Person POV}

Demacia Military Academy is divided into four classes, the enhanced class, the techies class, the healer class and weaponry class.

In the healers' class, only those with healing abilities are allowed. The only other class healers can take is weaponry, which enables them to always be prepared for the battlefield. A healer's main duty is to heal anyone injured during a dungeon raid or a fight against invaders. In the healers' class, students are taught to strengthen their healing abilities and to always stay with their team. Some healers choose to join the weaponry class to learn how to protect themselves.

The techies' class is divided into two groups: the frontiers and the back operators. The back operators are responsible for designing, testing, maintaining, and controlling all the gadgets used in the military, while the frontiers are the techies who fight on the battlefield using these gadgets, like Audrey, for example.

The enhanced and weaponry classes focus on teaching students to fight using their weapons and/or enhanced abilities, and they are always required to fight.

Everyone who attends the military academy joins the military unless, after the first year, they decide or they are able to pursue a different career path. 

That's what there is to the military academy. But right now, it was time for the combat test, and two first-year students were about to battle in the arena.

They took their stance and were ready to face each other. "Begin!!!" The instructor (referee) shouted and they immediately charged each other.

"All healers be on standby" the referee said.

The boy with the spear immediately thrusted it towards the other trying to push him backwards. But the enhanced boy quickly made a gauntlet out of earth and blocked the attack with his hands, even the spear nearly broke through it. That was the best he could do given that he was just a level two earth ability user

The enhanced boy then changed his strategy and began creating small spikes of earth, launching them at the other boy. The weapon user blocked and dodged as many spikes as he could, but it wasn't enough, and he slowly backed up to the edge of the red circle. Not wanting to give up easily, he charged towards the other boy, not caring one bit about the spikes being thrown at him, and attempted to land an attack with his spear. However, the enhanced boy was prepared for this and didn't give him the chance to attack. He formed a gauntlet out of earth again and punched the other boy in the stomach.

"Ahhh" he shouted in pain, not giving him a chance to recover he punched him again with even more forced, sending the weapon user flying out of the circle and crashing in the ground. Immediately three healers surrounded him and started to heal him and get him ready for his next fight.

{Bellatrix' POV}

"The winner of this round John Greg from the enhanced class!!" The referee announced and John left the stage. "Next round Diana Gales from weaponry class versus Nora Hart from the enhanced class" The referee announced and they both climbed to the stage

Diana was holding here katana while the other girl wielded no weapon.

It looked like Diana had been doing some training because she had grown stronger than the last time I checked her stats.

The girl immediately created two long swords made of ice.

I could tell this was going to be a tough fight, they both took their stance while I sat in the crowd only hoping for Diana to win the fight "You guys know the drill.... Begin!!!" The referee shouted

And they charged straight at each other and the only thing heard from them next was the clashing of swords. They were striking each other with their swords and blocking each other's attacks, and it went on for a while.

"Ah!" Diana made a short scream as Nora made landed the first attack in the fight by slashing her on the face. Diana wasn't fast enough to dodge all of Nora's attacks so she got hit again "ugh". Luckily she used her healing ability and quickly healed herself

Their swords kept clashing and the atmosphere was intense. "Ahh.." Diana finally landed an attack and slashed the other girl Nora on the shoulder

She tried attack but Diana slashed her again "Ahhh..." and she was slowly getting closer to the edge of the red circle, but her reflexes were quick and she quickly blocked Diana's next attack with her double swords and pushed her backward to the floor.

"You b*tch" She got angry that Diana landed an attack and she charged at her slashing her with both swords simultaneously.

"Ahhh!..."
