Today there wasn't any daily mission, instead there was a mission that needed me to participate fully in the combat test. 'Looks like I really have to do my best in the tournament test' I thought to myself.

The test was going to start at exactly 9:00am , so I had some time to spare. I exercised a bit and then I decided to check my stats

I the went to the bathroom to get freshened up. By the time I came out of the bathroom it was about 6:39 and Layla was already up "Good morning Bellatrix" she said "Morning lay" I replied

I took out my phone and dialed Audrey's number "Ring..... ring..... ring..." For only a few seconds the phone rang and rang Audrey picked up "Hey Bee what's up?" Audrey spoke from the other side of the line "Good morning Audrey" I said "I'm going to the cafeteria, are you coming?"

"Yeah, sure. Give me 15 minutes, and we'll meet at the cafeteria," she said.

"Okay, see you then," I replied and hung up the call.

After waiting for a few minutes, I went to the cafeteria and sat at our usual table to wait for Audrey. From a distance, I saw Diana entering the cafeteria. "Hey, Diana!" I called out and waved. She looked in my direction and walked over to the table.

"Good morning, where's Audrey?" she asked.

"She's on her way; she'll be here in a minute," I replied.

In a few minutes Audrey arrived at the table and then we all ordered our food and started to eat. "Are you guys ready for the combat test?" Diana asked me and Audrey

"I'm not sure though, there are a lot of strong high levels in this year's first year students and I'm not sure if I'll last long in the tournament" Audrey answered "I think Bella would do really well in the test" she added 'Not so sure' I muttered under my breath

"Anyways we better head back to the dorms and rest before the test" I said "okay" Diana replied and then we all left the cafeteria and went to our separate dorms.

I went to my dorm and had a nice long rest.

"Good day students" The commander who was also the academy's principal say loudly into the microphone, turning everyone's attention to him. "As you all know tomorrow is the first combat test for the first year students, there are exactly 300 freshman students this year, the tournament will commence for two weeks (Monday to Friday) and every first year student except the 50 students in the healers class and 50 other students in the techies back operators class will participate, leaving 200 students to participate in the tournament"

" **Tournament Format: Knockout and Group Stage Combination**

**Day 1 - Day 8: Group Stage**

- **200 participants** divided into **20 groups** of 10 students each.

- Each group will play a **round-robin** format, meaning each student in the group will play against the other 9 students.

- The top **5 students** from each group based on points will advance to the next round.

**Day 9: Knockout Stage - Round of 100**

- The 100 advancing students will compete in a knockout stage.

- Matches will be single elimination.

- 50 winners from these matches will advance to the next round.

**Day 10: Knockout Stage - Round of 50**

- The 50 advancing students will compete in the knockout stage.

- Matches will be single elimination.

- 25 winners from these matches will advance to the next round.

**Day 11: Finals**

- The remaining 25 students will compete in the semi-finals and then the finals to determine the tournament winner.

**Tournament Schedule:**

**Day 1 - Day 8: Group Stage**

- 20 groups of 10 players

- 3 matches per student per day

**Day 9: Knockout Stage - Round of 100**

- 50 matches

**Day 10: Knockout Stage - Round of 50**

- 25 matches

**Day 11: Finals**

- 3 matches (Semi-finals and Finals)

- Group 1: Matches 1-3

- Group 2: Matches 1-3

- ...

- Group 20: Matches 1-3

**Day 2:**

- Group 1: Matches 4-6

**Day 3 - Day 8:**

- Continue in the same pattern until all group stage matches are completed.

**Day 10: Knockout Stage - Round of 50**

**Day 11: Finals**

- Semi-finals: Matches 76-77

I checked my watch and realized I was in group B while Audrey and Diana where both in group A

'This was going to be a tough one' I thought to myself

{Tournament day at the general training hall}

Everyone in the academy, including the senior years, was present. The room had been completely transformed. Chairs that could seat about a thousand people were arranged around the room, just like in a stadium. And right in the middle, there was a large circular stage. The general training hall had been turned into a fighting arena.

On one part of the arena, the first years were seated. On another part sat the second years, followed by the third years. The trainers or instructors were also seated on their own part of the arena, and everyone was also seated according to their class.

The commander took the stage "Okay everyone, let the combat test begin. I wish you all good luck" He said and left the stage.

He handed the microphone to one of the instructors who was going to act as a referee for the fights. "Okay first of group A we have Chris Anders from weaponry class and John Greg from the enhanced"

After he said that they both walked up to the stage and in the middle was a large red circle and it's diameter was about ten meters "Okay, the task is to get your opponent out the circle which you both are standing in by any and I mean any means possible"

The guy from the enhanced class wielded no weapon, while the guy from the weaponry class held a spear firmly in his hand. They were both level two students.

They took their stance and were ready to face each other. "Begin!!!" The instructor (referee) shouted

And the two guys then charged at each other with full speed.
