Candidates

After an unknown period of time, I regained my senses. What, I'm not dead!! I tried to open my eyes and saw that my body had transformed into a ball of light, almost transparent. I looked around me, and what I saw left me perplexed. There was nothing but total darkness, and my body was moving in a random direction, without my control.

"What the hell is this? Don't tell me this is life after death, and I have to stay in this darkness for eternity!"

Suddenly, I heard a voice coming from all directions.

[ Soul awakened detected... ]

[ Teleportation procedure in progress... ]

"What the hell is this?"

All of a sudden, I found myself in a strange place. At the center was a massive, ancient building, and around it floated four transparent balls of light. I thought to myself, at least I'm not alone.

I tried to communicate with the ball on my right, thinking it might be a person like me, but to my great surprise, I couldn't speak.

Suddenly, lights appeared in the building and started flashing, and the voice I had heard before being transported reappeared.

[ Hello, everyone... ]

[ You have been chosen to be candidates to become the future geniuses of the universe. ]
