Issue #5.5

(This chapter is less about fighting and more about how powerful telepaths are if they fight those that don't have any resistance against them)

Qilip launched hundreds of small shards of ice at the Marauders. Hans jumped in front of Vertigo and Prism, taking the blows for them. The shards broke as soon as they made contact with his skin.

As for Sabertooth, he was cut up by many of the shards but his healing factor healed him back to his peak state in moments.

'Annoying. Let's end this quickly!'

Qilip used his telepathy to reach into the minds of the mutants in front of him. He was able to do it easily with all of them except for Prism who was made up of crystals.

Once he was inside of their minds, Qilip quickly began to make their bodies go haywire and fail on themselves. Hans and Vertigo quickly died but Sabertooth was actually able to survive this once again due to his healing factor keeping him alive.

'He is nothing more than a combination of several mutants. Since I can only get one, I'll get the [Optic Beams]. If I combine this with [Dragon's Breath] and [Poison Breath] to create a more destructive beam attack than the other two are lacking.

This woman's power is pretty interesting. She created psionic distortions. That's why it was able to make me feel sick and knock me out of my intangible form. I need to improve my passive psychic shields cause I am tired of this shit. Well, it is mine now.'

(X-Gene) [Optic Beams] and (X-Gene) [Psionic Distortion] acquired

Qilip kept his hold on Sabertooth before turning his attention to Prism who was trying to back away after he saw how brutally and swiftly Qilip murdered his comrades.

"Please, man! We have no beef! We have no beef! This is just a job!"

Qilip ignored his pleading as he created an arrow of frost energy in his hand. He froze the arrow before sending it flying into Prism's chest. Once it was lodged in there, Qilip broke it into a dozen small pieces and had them shoot out in random directions. This broke Prism's crystal body into thousand of pieces instantly killing him.

'Tsk. This man is utterly useless. And he is a Beta-Class which means that if I take this power, I have to have a fragile crystal body like him. Looks like I killed him for no reason then.'

Qilip did not choose any ability or power from Prism before he walked over to Sabertooth's body. The man was on the floor and couldn't move but even with the mental pressure Qilip was putting on him, he still maintained the strength to glare at him.

"I've heard of you. Wolverine's biggest rival, one the best killers on the planet, and the man that is more beast than man. Die for me, will you?"

Qilip dug deeper into Sabertooth's mind before planting a small amount of psionic energy within. He also dug through Sabertooth's mind and deactivated his mutant powers. Qilip then began to ease his way out of the mind while maintaining control over Sabertooth.

Once he was outside of his mind, Qilip allowed the psionic energy he left inside of Sabertooth's mind to go wild before detonating. This attack instantly destroyed Sabertooth's mind which caused his body to quickly shut down.

Without his powers, Sabertooth died within minutes. Qilip just stood above him and watched the man lose his life without care.

'For all the people you killed, you deserve this. But this [Alpha Feral] power of yours, I will gladly take.'

With his attackers now dead, Qilip left behind their bodies as he began searching for Mr. Sinister. He was hoping to find the mad scientist first so he could get his power instead of Jack.
