Frost's Greed (Marvel)

Everyone follows Xavier, the idealist. Everyone worships Magneto, the extremist. None dare to disrespect Apocalypse, the militarist. But what about the final of the big 4. The one who has lost their students at every turn. The one that walks down the darkest path and is unwilling to put their faith in none outside of their circle of trust. The one that cares not about how humans view mutants nor about the infighting of others. Whose only true care is for the students. This is not a story about her but about a student of hers that believes in her ideas and teachings. Not about peaceful coexistence or mutant supremacy or survival of the fittest. To strive for a brighter tomorrow, even if they have to make it through the blackest night. This is the story of one boy following learning how to be a mutant in a world that hates him under the teachings of the White Queen. He will go from an inexperienced kid to one of the most important mutants in the world ------------ I'm guaranteeing this story for a year, averaging a chapter per day (major holidays may get no chapter or more chapters.) This means that this will be my longest and most secure story, and hopefully the best, on the site. *Warnings! Warnings! Warnings!* - This takes place in an AU of Marvel. So while most things will remain similar to what most people are familiar with, there will be some changes (Some characters being mutants or mutates, etc) - He will start off weak power-wise. He will become very powerful eventually but not for now. He must earn the crowd's favor. - This will be a harem.

Issue #3

After agreeing with Laura's request, Jack flew back to the Avengers Tower. He stopped by to check on each of his squadmates but none of them could be found. Thinking that they were all in the training room or off doing personal stuff, Jack didn't continue to try to look for them.

'It's their day off. Not like I can always keep track of them even if it wasn't. Johnny missed so many missions cause he was always MIA.'

Jack didn't head back to his room but went to the training room instead. He still needed to put on the show of him working diligently with his powers.

When he got there, only Winter Soldier and Ant-Man(Scott) were present. Each of them was off doing their own things so Jack didn't go over to bother them. Instead, he wanted to practice something that Laura and Bobby inspired him to try.

Jack had always focused on using his powers in overwhelming ways or creatively to make up for the lack of raw power his normal ice had compared to his Dark Frost. But when he told Laura that she had the sharpest claws, Jack knew that was where he should try and turn his focus.

He also knew that he not using his powers as creatively as Bobby. Instead of making the ice larger or stronger, he wanted to make it sharper. That way, he would be able to take on even the strongest opponents.

So what Jack practiced inside of the training room was making thousands of knives over the course of an hour.

At first, the knives were slightly duller than normal ones. Then they became just as sharp as real knives. And soon after that, even sharper than normal steel knives.

After he got to that level, there stopped being noticeable improvement. So Jack temporarily gave up on sharpening and turned his attention to making larger weapons sharper like swords and axes.

By the time Jack was finally done, he had a full arsenal of weapons around him that could surpass what most blacksmiths made. Jack went to retire to his bedroom after he got to that point.

When he got back to his room, he saw that the zoo of animals that were usually there was once again there. Still not wanting to understand what they were doing, Jack walked by them after giving Bean a quick kiss goodnight.

As soon as his head hit the pillow, Jack felt himself beginning to doze off. Within moments, he was slumbering.

The next morning, Jack woke up feeling completely refreshed. Although his body and mind should not normally get tired, he had been pushing himself as of late. Even when he was supposed to be relaxing, Jack was still working when no one was looking at him.

Being on the Avengers had taught Jack a lot. But the number 1 thing it taught was that he was nowhere close to being the strongest person on the planet yet alone in the universe. At least yet.

This caused Jack to burn with frustration and passion as he tried his best to overcome whatever limits he woke up with every day.

After getting out of bed, Jack took a shower to clean off the previous day's dirt. When he stepped out and walked in front of the mirror, the tattoo/marking on his back caught Jack's eye once again.

Every day, the black snowflake would change shape. No matter how many times he looked at it, it would differ from the day before and the patterns had yet to repeat themselves.

'Ugh. I need to research this too. So Today, I stop Omega Red. Tomorrow, protect Doom. Saturday, I go on date with Emma. And Sunday, I ask Clea for all the tomes she has on spirits.'

Jack had been searching for answers on what exactly a spirit was for months but had been unable to find anything useful. Most supernatural heroes were either very mysterious or they were born/cursed with their abilities so they did not have much knowledge outside of what THEY could do.

Jack got dressed and looked at the time. It was already 9 am which meant it should have been around 3 pm in Genosha.

'I better head out.'

Jack took to the sky and flew all the way to Genosha in minutes. Although his max speed would allow him to reach there in seconds, Jack did not have much practice using his full speed since it could potentially cause him to crash into planes.

When he arrived in the capital of Genosha, there was nothing amiss.

'Hmm. Looks like I'm early. Do I wait for him to attack to become a savior and protector or do I go look for him and take him down before he does any damage?'

Jack laughed at himself as soon as these thoughts entered his head. Jack flew toward the west side of the capital. Since Omega Red was spotted on the borders in this direction, the chances of him attacking from the same way were more likely.

Jack made himself invisible before sitting on a building near the main road where people would enter. Jack then let his telepathy loose and created a psionic field where he could sense auras and emotions.

Jack searched for a few seconds before he was sure he found his man. The aura reeked of death.

After he felt the aura, Jack focused his telepathy onto his suspect. After reading his mind, Jack knew he had found Omega Red. After digging deeper, Jack was able to find out the details of his mission.

Shinobi Shaw, the current Black King, wanted to take over Genosha and have the Hellfire Club rule its own nation. But there were many powerful mutants there.

So Shinobi's plan was to hire various mercenaries to kill of the mutant leaders of Genosha. And the man was so confident that he had actually disclosed his entire plan to all the assassins.

Omega Red was here specifically to assassinate Destiny since she was the best precog on the planet. With her dead, Shinobi was even more sure of his plans.

'I was planning to deal with them later, but it seems those brats need a reminder that they got their positions using cowardly tactics. If they truly want to go against a (possible future) member of the Inner Circle, I will be more than happy to let them know what one is capable of.'

Jack went through Omega Red's mind to gather information on other clients of his before making him walk far outside the city and into the forest. Once he was far enough, Jack destroyed Omega Red's mind which killed him almost instantly.

[(X-Gene)-Death Factor] acquired

After killing him, Jack began to flew around Genosha and killed all the other mercenaries there. Omega Red was the only one with powers, so Jack had gained nothing after he had killed the rest.
