Supervising Future Admirals

As Percy was deciding what to do, he got called to Rosati's office. He immediately responded and was there is 5 minutes.

"You called for me?" Percy asked as he saluted the admiral.

"Sit down, please." Rosati had a stern look on his face, something that was uncommon for the man Percy noted.

[Something must be wrong, I've never seen the man not eating sweets.]

"I called you here today because I need you to do something important."

Percy waited as the admiral continued,

"Rear admiral Sakazuki and Borsalino have been making a lot of progress lately, but are getting frustrated because Dragon has already passed them. It seems like Dragon has recently learned haki and was given permission to travel with his father in the New world to capture the Rogers pirates leaving his two friends behind."

Percy nodded thinking about the interactions how the three used to interact with one another. Borsalino was always joking around while Dragon rolled his eyes and Sakazuki tried to ignore the duo. They had a pretty funny dynamic in Percy's opinion.

"Sakazuki told his vice admiral that he thinks that he can instill justice better in the New world. The next moment, Borsalino complained that the pirates in paradise were too weak for him and he was getting bored."

Rosati had an ugly expression on his face, "it isn't normal for recruits to be promoted that quickly, even you were an exception. We can't have young'uns complaining about the structure of the navy every time they don't like it."

Percy was silent as he let Rosati say his piece, "it's better for them to get real world experience before setting their foots into that treacherous ocean."

The admiral quickly regained his composure,

"I'm sorry, I didn't call you to complain about those two. They are correct in that they are too strong for paradise, but, they underestimate the New world far too much; you of all people know that from first hand experience."

Percy winced and nodded, he did not like to be reminded of his defeat in the hands of Shiki.

"I am assigning you to escort those two into the New world for them to get a taste of the true terrors of pirates."

"So, you want me to take Borsalino and Sakazuki into the New world and watch them fight pirates?"

Yes, I discussed with Zed and we found the perfect target for them; the Frozen pirates. The captain ate the logia fruit snow- snow fruit and became a snow woman. Her vice captain ate the cold- cold fruit as well. Their bounties have reached 550 million belli, not too strong, but not too weak.

"Can't Sakazuki just melt them all with his devil fruit?" Percy asked as he looked at the two wanted posters.

"He can, but won't be able to. We confirmed that they both activated armament and observation haki. It should be impossible to kill them both."

"Then why fight the pirates if we aren't going to capture them?"

"No, you misunderstood. They aren't going to capture them, you are. As Borsalino and Sakazuki are, they aren't ready to pursue the Frozen pirates, but you should be able to apprehend the pirates."

"Why don't you send their commanding vice admiral to watch over them instead? Who is it anyways?"

"Vice admiral Pickle." Rosati said with an ugly expression, "he said he was too busy to leave Marineford. Probably too busy chasing after someone else's wife if you ask me."

Percy squinted his eyes, [this, this is the s*it that I hate dealing with in the navy. Trash like Pickle and others like him. One day I'll kill them all.]

"Fine, where are they now?"

"Should be in their offices writing a report on their most recent mission."

"I'll go grab them" Percy said as he turned around to leave, "What about Orange?"

"Ask Kong, it's not my responsibility KAKAKAKAKAKA" was heard as Percy was shutting the door.

[I'm getting her back before I leave, by hook or crook.]

*********************************************************************************************************Sakazuki was excited, it was the first time he would be experiencing fighting the most powerful pirates in the world. He hated pirates, he thinks they should all be eliminated so that the navy can maintain peace.

He was sailing next to his partner, Borsalino. He had to admit, while his "friend" looked he did not care, he did anything but. He knew Borsalino was smart, witty, but above all else, strong. On the few occasions they fought, neither side could gain an advantage. Borsalino was too quick to hit, but Sakazuki never received damage from any of his opponent's attacks. The fight usually ended when Borsalino was out of breadth, apparently his ability took a lot of stamina to maintain near light speed.

He looked at the vice captain at the front of ship and inwardly shivered. Vice admiral Percy was one of the few people that Sakazuki felt like he could not win against. He felt the same way when he saw his teacher Zed fight, hell, he experienced it. All the admirals gave Sakazuki the same impression, an unsurmountable wall. Percy was the exception, to Sakazuki, the vice admiral was not a wall, but an ocean, a deep dark ocean that he could not escape from. When the two sparred in the past, all the vice admiral had to do what touch him and he felt his power leave his body. It was the first time he felt genuine fear after eating his devil fruit.

Sakazuki watched on as Borsalino walked up to Percy and asked,

"Sir, when are we going to get there?"

Percy looked ahead and said "the island is up ahead. It's going to be another hour or so before we see land."

Borsalino nodded and said "This should be easy right...?"

Sakazuki looked at Percy and a shivered ran down his back. The look Percy shot at Borsalino was that he was expecting anything but an easy fight.

"As I said when you got aboard, you are here to get a feel of how strong pirates could be. The pirates and bandits you faced were nothing compared to the monsters on these waters. Some of the captains that you captured would have been subordinates of subordinates of pirates, understand?"

Borsalino looked Percy with an unreadable expression, "of course sir."

"Yes sir!" Sakazuki said next to his compatriot.

Percy nodded and stared out again, by all rights this fight should be a cake walk for the two. After all they will be admirals one day. However, if both of them don't know haki, then the only advantage they have is the fact that Sakazuki's devil fruit trumps the snow- snow fruit.

[They'll find out why they need haki before treading these waters] Percy thought as the island slowly appeared over the horizon.

"As I stated earlier, we're not going to help you at all" Percy started as he stared at the two rear admirals, "The Frozen pirates are said to call this island home for now, so find them and capture them."

"Yes sir!" both of them said as they jumped onto the beach.

"Signal the ship only in extreme circumstances, or you ran out of hand cuffs."

Borsalino and Sakazuki nodded as they started the trek into the forest, searching for their first pirates in the New world.
