Opening their Eyes

Borsalino and Sakazuki ran through the forest and searched for their opponents. They ran straight the dense foliage and were quiet as they were trying to listen to any movements up ahead. The two stopped when they heard people up ahead talking,

"I heard captain is planning something big" one voice was heard in the distance.

"Oh yeah, what?" another voice asked.

"I heard from Nord that we are attacking Whitebeard soon."

"Whitebeard, no way. That man is a monster. Cap isn't dumb enough to attack him. Not head on anyway."

"No, not attack him, attack his allies. Nord said that 3 of the islands Whitebeard claimed are set to pay tribute in 6 days."

"Yeah and?"

There was a loud smack, "and? Do the math, dumbass. We're here, the ships are sailing near here, Whitebeard's not around. That equals..."

"Oh, we're stealing his goods."

"Yeah."

"Hehe we'll be rich. They'll never know who him them."

As the two pirates laughed, Borsalino looked at Sakazuki and shrugged his shoulders.

He then stepped out of the bushes where the two pirates were still laughing and started to walk towards them,

"So... where's your captain. I'd like a word with her."

"M-marines" one of the pirates tried to shout before Borsalino appeared before him and knocked him out.

"So," he continued, "the captain?"

The last pirate pointed a direction up ahead and Borsalino smiled, raised his foot and slammed it into the pirate's head.

"Let's go" Sakazuki said as he ran past the light man heading towards their goal.

Three minutes later, the pair arrived on the outskirts of where the pirates were resting. There was a fire set up and they could see around 80 pirates drinking and dancing around it with smiles on their faces.

Sakazuki scanned the crowd and elbowed Borsalino,

"There."

"Ohhh... I can feel it, she's pretty strong" Borsalino said in a quiet voice.

Sakazuki nodded, he too can feel a dangerous vibe coming from the woman who was singing the loudest.

"How do you want to handle this?" the magma man asked as they assessed the situation.

"I can take on the captain and you can handle the rest" Borsalino suggested as they tried to divvied up their roles.

"Other way around" said Sakazuki as he tried to size up the still drinking captain.

"Toss for it?" Borsalino suggested as he took out one belli.

Sakazuki shrugged as he tried to decide what side to choose.

"Or you can both come out and I'll take you both on!" A voice was heard over the crowd and everyone quieted down.

The two rear admirals looked up to see the captain of the Frozen pirates staring back at them.

"What? You think I didn't notice you, you're way too green if you thought that."

They both grimaced because that's exactly what they thought.

Standing up, Sakazuki started to turn into magma while Borsalino turned into light.

"Ohhhh... no wonder your both cocky. Strong logia users. However, that's not enough to impress us in the New world."

"Yata no Kagami" Borsalino said as he transformed into light and instantly appeared over the captain's head. He tried to kick her, but it went right through her body.

The captain took advantage of the situation and imbued her fist with haki to slam it into the rear admiral. He thought the attack would be ineffective, he was wrong. The punch connected and Borsalino was punched into a tree. Blood seeped from his mouth as he looked at her in confusion.

[Snow isn't supposed to counter light, how did she hit me?]

Sakazuki wasted to time to try throw magma at the captain, but the vice captain got in the way. She also imbued her body with haki and resisted the attack. After that, she jumped on Sakazuki and tried to freeze his body. He resisted, but when the vice captain noticed that the cold doesn't work on him, she decided to just hit him on the side of the head with her punch.

Sakazuki too flew into a tree crashing it to the floor. He got up immediately and turned the ground into magma around him so the vice captain couldn't get close. The pirate captain saw this and used her logia power to give her crewmate wings to fly over the ground.

The cold- cold fruit user then used her power coupled with haki and pushed the combined forces into her dagger to stab into Sakazuki. The magma man thought the attack was desperate, so he failed to avoid the attack in time. The vice captain took advantage of that and stabbed him in the chest.

Sakazuki stared at the wound wondering how he got injured and tried to melt the dagger. When it didn't work, he resorted to pulling it out, but the wound kept on bleeding.

As this was happening, Borsalino was trying to shoot lasers at the captain, kick her in the head, anything to injure the pirate. However, the leader of the Frozen pirates just stood there and laughed at his foolish attempts.

"You must be new, huh? Let me show you what strength really is." The captain then preceded to cause a snowstorm around the campsite. The captain's crew, knowing what was happening, immediately escaped to avoid collateral damage.

She then formed large hail stones and coated them in haki. After about 10 seconds, she threw them at Borsalino. The rear admiral dodged, most of them; but was unable to escape the onslaught of hail. What hail did hit him hurt because of the haki and he grimaced as bruises were starting to form on his body.

Sakazuki was not faring any better.

[I counter both captain and vice captain, why can't I win?]

He was getting more frustrated, the vice captain was annoying him because she could dodge his attacks while at the same time cut a piece of his skin here, or scratch there. He then decided that it was time to burn the entire island.

[If they can't escape the fire, then I'll win in the end!]

Before Sakazuki could implement his plan, he heard a voice next to him

"Alright that's enough. Go back to the ship."

He turned to see vice admiral Percy appearing out of the darkness looking at the battle. Both battles stopped as they stared at the newcomer.

"Sir, we can finish this!" Sakazuki said as he felt indignant. This was the first time some one had to step in and assist him.

"Perhaps, perhaps not" Percy said as he stared at the pirate captain. He pointed at her, "she has yet to go all out."

Both Sakazuki and Borsalino were surprised,

[she's been playing with us the entire time?] they both thought as they stared at the pirate.

"Awwww... don't ruin my fun. I was just getting started."

"No. I think they learned their lesson for now." He turned to the two, "that was an order rear admirals."

The two had ugly expressions on their faces as they saluted and headed back into the forest.

"Did I say you can go anywhere?" the vice captain tried to stop the two retreating marines when she was sucked into the newcomer's hand.

"Don't interfere with naval issues" Percy said as he hit the back of neck knocking the devil fruit user out.

"So you're telling me that you used me as a training tool?" the captain said as an unreadable expression crossed her face.

"They needed to learn that there is always someone stronger than them. You were here, therefore, here we are."

The captain was silent before saying, "I don't like being used."

"Me neither, but we all have our role to play in this world."

The pirate captain started to summon snow around her as she stared furiously at Percy.

"You'll pay for this."

"Perhaps, perhaps not."

Percy summoned darkness from around him to start thrusting it at the captain. She dodged and tanked those she could not with haki. She then started to form swords made of snow and launch them at Percy. He used soru to escape where he dark traveled to her blind spot and punched her side with his fist.

She took the hit, but returned one of her own with a kick and he staggered back. He quickly used his ability to absorb the damage taken and then used the darkness to form a dome around her and hopefully capture her. He was using the pressure generated by the darkness to crush the captain when he felt resistance. He put more effort, but it would not budge.

*sigh* Percy started to imbue the dome with haki and the dome became smaller and smaller with each passing second. Ten seconds later he heard a small voice saying,

"I surrender"

Percy lifted the veil of darkness to discover the captain falling to the ground. She hit it, turned into snow, and reformed into her human body. He checked her pulse and noticed it was barely there.

[Note to self, veil of darkness also crushes atoms including oxygen atoms. Person can suffocate inside.]

He got up, used black hole on the rest of the pirate crew and after a brief silence, pushed them back up knocking the majority of the pirates out.

Percy called his ship,

"Send men over, I need a lot of handcuffs to arrest the remaining of the pirates."

"Yes sir" the officer on the other side said, "sending them now."

As Percy waited, he thought that he should have a nice long talk with the future admirals, that or send them back to Zed for haki training.
