Introducing Ourselves

**As the girl and her brother closed the distance with the egg, an eerie male voice sounded in their heads.**

"Who are you?" said the eerie male voice.

I looked at my brother. He somehow figured it was the dragon egg's voice and nodded, then we spoke in turns.

"W-we mean no harm, Mr. Dragon egg, sir," I respond a little nervously.

"We were falling from the sky just now. You save us, sir." Said my brother with confidence and in a respectful voice.

"I see. Did you get involved in our fight? If so, let me apologize."

"No no. You shouldn't be the one apologizing." said my brother. "We should be the ones apologizing. You saved us despite being injured to death."

"He's right, sir. We are the ones that should apologize." I say while kneeling. "Please let us apologize."

"If you wish, then I won't apologize. But tell me, how did you end up there?" The dragon questions us.

"Before answering your question, would you mind coming inside our house?" said my brother. "The other dragon could notice you're still alive."

"Young human boy, you may be right. He is capable of noticing life and various energy readings. I may have gotten significantly weaker than when we started our fight but it is best to rule out any possibility of him finding out that I survived."

"Okay, sir. I'll try to lift you to the house." I say from being the egg while facing the house.

"Be careful, young human girl. I am quite heavy despite being this small." said the dragon, interrupting my concentration.

When I took my hands on the sides of the egg and tried to lift it, it felt almost as heavy as a small refrigerator.

I managed to lift it 2 inches before dropping it on the ground. I heard a thud and checked to see if the egg was damaged. It appears to have sunken deeper into the ground.

I called the others to help me carry the egg inside. Rocky suggested taking a cart to carry the egg.

Ur went back into the house and got the cart after some time.

Rocky, my brother, Cass, and I lifted the egg and Ur managed to place the cart under the egg. After that, we carefully got to the house and Yesac closed the door behind us.

We took some cushions and placed them next to the stairs. Again, we lifted the egg and carefully placed it on the cushions.

Our house has two floors, a basement, and a storage room next to the basement under the kitchen. It has 3 bedrooms on the second floor, one bathroom on each floor, some closets, and a small studio room for work with a bookshelf. The dining room, living room, and kitchen are "obviously" on the first floor practically next to each other.

After catching our breath from carrying the egg to the house, he spoke.

"I feel some strange energy in this house. It certainly feels like it's nothing made in this world." said the dragon egg.

"I guess that is evidence enough that we are not from this world." answered my brother.

"It seems so indeed. But that still doesn't explain how you got here."

We took some time to explain what happened to us when we were crossing over to this place. We changed the movie part to "telling horror stories" so that he could understand. Explaining modern technology to someone who lives in a world of magic and fantasy would be like explaining quantum physics to someone who knows nothing about science, it'll be super difficult. Although, I have a feeling that his explanation of magic will be more confusing than explaining quantum physics.

It took us 2 hours to explain what happened to us and to change some of the subjects.

He explained that he came from a really big mountain called Ever Mountain Peak, filled with various healing plants and magical beasts. Their dragon lair was near the top of the mountain. By the middle of the mountain lives many powerful beasts and high-quality herbs. Finally, at the mountain foot, there were some famous common herbs and minerals used in alchemy.

"Wait, alchemy?!" shouted Rocky.

"That's right, alchemy." repeated the dragon egg followed by, "Are you interested in alchemy, young human boy?"

"Yes, of course!" he responded.

He was planning on majoring in chemistry in college and minoring in biochemistry. So of course he will be interested in alchemy.

"I can tell you what you want later. But remember, everything comes at a price." says the dragon egg.

"By the way, sir, we still don't know your name," said Ur breaking the conversation.

"Ah!! I remember, she's right! And we didn't even introduce ourselves!" I say surprised, covering my mouth with my hands.

"Alright, I'll go first." said my brother. "My name is Yesac and this is my sister, Ion," he said while gently holding my head against his chest with his hand.

While hugging each other, Ur and Cass continued.

Ur said, in a lovely tone, "I am Ur and..."

"I am Cass, please to meet you," said Cass with a lovely tone as well.

They sure know how to introduce themselves. They do this every time they meet a new person together. And it's funny watching how people would react. Of course, we are introducing ourselves to an egg, so I don't know how he'll react.

Finally, it's Rocky's turn.

"My name is Rocko. If you are willing to teach me alchemy, I'll cook something you've never tasted before." Sounding all excited, Rocky continued. "I can even cook for your whole dragon race."

There he goes with the exaggeration. But knowing him, he will probably do it if it meant learning alchemy.

"If you are willing to help us, we will surely help you with the knowledge of our world," Yesac added to what Rocky said. "We can give knowledge about different dishes, agriculture, the creation of matter, and even how to make good beer."

"Beer!!?" shouted the dragon egg. "You can make beer!!"

"Seems like someone likes beer," said my brother in a persuasive way.

It seems like beer is famous among men in any world.

*cough cough*

"Brother, not now, please. We need to know what we can about this world." I say interrupting them.

"You're right, sorry. I got a little carried away."

"Hehe. It doesn't matter if you understand, brother. Now, we shall know your name, Mr. Dragon egg, sir?" I start questioning the dragon egg.
