Yes, That’s Why I Need You (2)

Kasra watched the two Pandoras duel each other.

Having been called in to work the Carnival for the second year students, he sat on a cracked concrete slab, that was created when one of the Pandora's swords slashed through the ceiling.

Kasra watched the two fight for their rankings, with a disturbed look by how savagely they fought each other.

The two had multiple lacerations and bruises across them; their clothes were cut away and nearly gone.

He rested his chin on his left hand, while drinking a box of orange juice through a little plastic straw.

Kasra waited in anticipation for either one of them to go overboard in the fight.

Muffled by the sounds of the Pandora's weapons connecting and hitting, he pulled the straw out of his mouth and said:

"This is actually… way more boring than I expected it would be…"

Kasra calmly tilted his head to the right, before a sickle connected to a long steel chain could hit his face.

"Tch, those two are reckless… what spot were they fighting for, again..? Third..?"

He wanted to yell at them to hurry up so he could head to class, yet couldn't due to the protocols stating his inability to interfere with the events.

And his fear that their hostility would turn to him instead.

Splatters and speckles of blood were starting to reach him, but he didn't react much.

Instead, he sighed again.

But his eyes still actively tracked their movements.

Mumbling again, he said:

"…Can't they just get this over with already..? Like, pull out some crazy… 'killer move', or whatever?"

The truth was, unbeknownst to him, that the two girls were actually fighting to gain his recognition.

With thoughts like:

"I'll show you I'm capable of being you're partner!"

or:

"I'll definitely show him my selling points! My strength! My agility"

But none of it worked, or had any effect.

Kasra was bored, tired, and annoyed he got stiffed with a "guard dog" job, instead of getting to do anything cool.
