THE GROCERIES, UGH!

"I can't wait to see the look in his face when he sees you," Lily squeaked as she ran about.

Frankie watched her best friend with little to no amusement. She quickly typed a code in her laptop and when someone knocked on her bedroom door, she closed it and jumped off the bed. "Yes, mum." She posed a polite smile.

Her mother scanned her face before narrowing her eyes. "What is going on in here?" she peeped inside to see Lily smiling foolishly from the bed. Mentally, she face palmed herself, bingo for having a best friend who couldn't even pull out a simple act in front of her mum.

"Hello, mother," Lily greeted raising suspicion more.

Instead her mother gave them wide smiles; oh no that was a danger sign. "Ohm, Frankie," she called sweetly.

"No, mum, I am not doing that." She shook her head several times.

"Frankie dear…" her mother ran her hands in her hair. Another sign that whatever she was going to say was going to be bad news to her. "Dear, I was wondering…"

"Out with it," she stated realizing that the oncoming misery cannot be avoided.

"Fine, please go over to the mall and get me some groceries." She widened her smile.

Frankie narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Why can't you?"

"I have deadlines at work, honey and I really want a promotion this year so I am really working extra hard." She pulled out a puppy face. "Please honey." She blinked adorably and Frankie sighed.

"Okay, but this once," she warned.

Her mother jumped about and hoped to her room. Okay, why was her life not normal again? Oh, she remembered that even her name wasn't normal. "Lily, let's go over to the market and get those damn groceries."

"Sure do." Lily hoped off the bed as Frankie got a jacket, grabbed her car keys and trotted to her red sedan car. She raced the vehicle to the mall and parked it in the mall's car park. "So you have a list or something?" Lily asked before they alighted.

Frankie gave her a blank look and then shook her head. "We'll probably buy what we see."

Inside the mall, Lily picked the groceries as Frankie pushed the trolley, absent-minded because she was busy hacking through her ugly neighbor's laptop. Hearing Lily yell from somewhere in front, she pushed the trolley with her feet as her eyes remained glued on her phone's screen.

She was going to teach that damn brat a lesson, all high class and stuff, she sneered, if he was as rich and elegant as he carried himself to be, why was he even living in their estate? Shouldn't he be living in a place like Greens, Meadows and Fountains? Foolish man, she thought but her thinking was interrupted by some ugly croaking.

She looked up and met a very nice figure, handsome, cute all combined, dressed like royalty, but his face…why was he fuming? Her eyes slowly descended to his chest. She bit her lower lip. His brilliant white shirt was stained with… she gulped, strawberry ice-cream. Slowly, her eyes descended to her trolley which was standing still before his long legs.

Her eyes quickly searched for Lily who was shrugging behind the man. Oops, she might be dead meat.

"Are you blind," a chilling voice came from him.

Frankie touched her eyes. "You must be blind to think I am blind." She bit her tongue. This little organ had a brain of its own.

The man's face became uglier. "You…"

Frankie blinked. "Ohm, I would advise you to," she ran her hand on her face. "Smile a bit, you look like a warthog."
