Chapter 3

<p>When the alarm rang, I woke up, did my hygiene routine, and wore my sports attire. <br/><br/>I went for a jog around the neighborhood, needing the fresh air, and it was refreshing! I got back home and took a shower, then ate breakfast. <br/><br/>After breakfast, Ayesha (my hair and makeup stylist) and Jay (Fashion stylist) arrived, and we made sure we had everything ready for the interview with my co-actors. <br/><br/>We drove to the studio where the interview would be taped. I got there and got dressed while they set everything up. <br/><br/>My makeup stylist did my hair and makeup, and Jay chose the best outfit for me, the 'Letter Graphic Crop Top & Contrast Piping Pocket Patched Pants black Set.' <br/><br/>They briefed me on everything that was going to happen, and they got us (actors) ready. I walked to where the other actors were. <br/><br/>When I saw my co-actors, I ran to quickly hug and greet all of them, Liza Koshy, Lidya Jewett, Jake Taylor, Vin Diesel, and Tom Holland.<br/><br/>"Hi guys!! Oh My Gawdness, it's been a minute," I said, hugging Lidya.<br/><br/>"True... it feels great seeing everyone again," Liza said.<br/><br/>"I hope you guys still have your dance moves," Jake said, doing a little dance move.<br/><br/>"I totally forgot all the moves," Tom said, chuckling.<br/><br/>"Well, I still got mine," Lidya said, doing the same dance move.<br/><br/>"It's good seeing you kids," Vin said, side-hugging me.<br/><br/>"Oh please grandpa, it's actually good to see that you are still in shape," Liza said.<br/><br/>"Okay guys, we are starting. You can get in," the production team said.<br/>We walked in and sat by the chairs. We fixed ourselves and made sure that the camera angles were perfect. Our director was there with us as he was going to add comments here and there. The reason why we were filming the 'Get to know the actors of The rhythm In Me' 2 years later was because of Coronavirus, we had to postpone it due to the constant emergency lockdowns and social distancing.<br/>NB: This is a convo after the recording and editing was done.<br/>"Hello, I am Sam Martin McQueen. I wrote and directed The Rhythm In Me, nice to meet you," Our director said, and we cheered for him.<br/>"Hello, I am Liza Koshy and I played Alina Smith in The Rhythm In Me."<br/>"I am Lidya Jewett and I played Ciara McConnell, Hello."<br/>"Hey guys, I am Jake Taylor and I played James McConnell."<br/>"Hello, I am Vin Diesel and I played Jacob Owens."<br/>"Hey, my name is Tom Holland, and I played Brian O'Brien."<br/>"Hello guys, my name is Anashe Anika Ambani, and I played Cynthia Owens."<br/>(Looking at the behind the scenes)<br/>"I had the perfect image of what I wanted, and I was looking for the perfect person to fit this role, someone young and a good dancer too, and here came Lidya, who had the face, acting skills, and the dance moves," Our director said. "The rest kind of made their way back to me, and they fit perfectly in their roles," he added.<br/>(Who left a good impression on the director)<br/>"Someone who left a good impression on me was Liza, Tom, and Jake. They were the perfect people for the role, and they really outdid themselves... I was impressed, honestly, the chemistry was good, and everything else, it seemed like they were made for this," the director added.<br/>"Yeah, the chemistry was intense. I honestly thought that Jake and Liza would date after the movie. I had to keep checking the tabloids and Twitter for any news of them dating," I said.<br/>"Well, we are the best at what we do, so I guess it's expected," Liza said, fist-pumping Jake.<br/>"It reeks," Lidya said, pinching her nose. "What?" Liza asked.<br/>"Your ego and pride," Lidya replied.<br/>(First Meeting)<br/>"I can't remember what I ate that day," Vin Diesel said.<br/>"I remember quite well as I was super nervous and I threw up everything I ate," I said.<br/>"I remember asking them constantly how playful should I be... how serious should I be... I wanted to do everything perfectly, and first impressions matter, right?" Jake said.<br/>"First impressions do matter, but I was like, oh bull, I can't do this because someone, I don't remember who, BUT someone told me that the director was some old grumpy man who was firing and dismissing people based on their looks, and that got my nerves high up," I said, remembering that day.<br/>"It was nerve-wracking, and being the only main child cast was so scary... I was like, what if they bully me, but it turned out I was working with a bunch of clowns," Lidya said, as she looked at Vin mostly.<br/>"TRUE! I did not expect Vin to join the prank crew. It came as a shock, and... and I had to ask the director to tell me that what I was seeing was false," Tom added, remembering the time Vin and other crew members played a prank on us while filming.<br/>"When I saw Tom there, I was like, oh my gawd, spoiler alert," Jake said, making funny facial expressions.<br/>"Oh yeah, he is well known for being a spoiler... red alert," Liza said.<br/>(The person you didn't think would make it but did)<br/>"Now to talk about Anashe... she really had difficulties learning the dance routines and the choreography. She messed up a lot and didn't really give out good performances. I remember being skeptical about casting her... I was super worried until she proved us wrong, and in a month or so, she had learned the routine quite well, and she could catch up with others, which impressed me as they all were good dancers except her," the director said, fixing and lifting his glasses slightly.<br/>"I found it difficult... everything was new, the intensive dance move, the synchronizing, the dance details were all too much, and my body control wasn't that perfect... I had to do some exercises to help with my body control. I remember when we were done practicing the dance moves, I used to remain in the studio and practice and practice. I beat myself up, worrying I would lose the role due to my bad dance skills, but when the director applauded my progress, I felt a huge burden being lifted from my shoulders, and being able to dance perfectly well with my co-actors was amazing and fun," I said, remembering the difficulties I had to learn the dance moves.<br/>"I felt pity for you as this was your first movie where you needed to do intense dancing, and even though we were well acquainted with it, I personally felt like I wasn't perfect enough... I felt like I was not doing so well enough, and the mere fact that when you learnt the dance perfectly you had to pretend as if you were not so good at it... it was a rollercoaster ride," Jake said.<br/>"True... we would love to say more, but for today let's end here... if you liked the video, please follow for the part 2 byee!" Lidya said, waving at the screen.<br/>"Bye!" We all said.<br/>After the interview, we parted ways with my co-actors (friends) and promised to keep in touch. We had to end it quickly as everyone was busy that day. I then got ready to go for a dress fitting meant for a special occasion... it took me about 1 hour or so to get the dress fitting done as they had to make adjustments here and there and add more details to the dress. When I was done with the dress fitting, I had lunch, something light and delicious, and we drove to 30 Rockefeller Plaza for an interview with Jimmy Fallon. We went to the artist dressing room and got everything ready. I wore a Women's A Line Short Mini Dress Black Long Sleeve Layered Pleated Fall Winter Off Shoulder with Triple S black Balenciaga sneakers (lol sorry for the detailed explanation). I let my curls pop and did my makeup, which was nude. I was briefed on everything before the show and got ready to start filming.<br/>(The actual show after filming and editing)<br/>"Finally, you are here tonight with me," Jimmy said.<br/>"Yes, I am here with... with not you alone," I said, smiling, shaking my index finger left and right.<br/>"Of course not with me alone... your boyfriend will be joining us later," Jimmy said.<br/>"Oh really... can't wait," I said, chuckling.<br/>"Now let's not dive away from the matter at hand... since you are here, I have a question, who hit Doja cat last night?" Jimmy said.<br/>I looked at the audience, then back at him, then folded my arms across my chest. "Jimmy, don't blame it all on me... we agreed we would take turns, but you hit her twice more than me... You hit her more."<br/>"Well... you weren't hitting enough," he added.<br/>"I wasn't? Oh, I really thought I was."<br/>"Next time try harder... You look gorgeous, by the way," he said, taking his card of questions or activities, I guess.<br/>"Thank you, and I know," I said, wiggling my eyebrows.<br/>"Yeah, I know you do... I was expecting you to wear the dress you have been working on for the special event."<br/>"Oh, the special dress, I will wear it, but not here, in case Doja comes for payback. I gotta be ready to run," I said, hitting my fist on my palm.<br/>"Oh, not to fight?" he asked.<br/>"Nope... I won't even give her a chance to go freaky deaky on me," I said, shaking my head.<br/>NB: Let's not take the following information to heart.<br/>"I want to hear the story, if I am not mistaken, you were at the pre-Oscar awards, and you kind of started a conversation with Zac Efron," Jimmy said.<br/>"No, that's not what happened... well, what actually happened was that I was in the elevator with Zac, Zendaya, and Tom Holland. So, I was looking at the both of them, and I was like, I wish I could have a relationship like that. The way Tom was looking at her was so amazing and loving. And Zac was standing behind me, and Tom all of a sudden says 'I hope we do not get caught in this elevator,' and I was like they will be some pretty ass babies in here," I said, laughing as everyone joined.<br/>"So Zac was like... I thought he was serious... he says if I am single in here, and you are single in here, why don't we get together and see what happens, and I was like Oh My Gawwd! For Real!"<br/>"I did some research, and the guy is happily not single... Oh, so he was joking. I had missed out on so much info that I thought the guy was serious... turns out there is a Valladares, and I seriously can't do that," I added, shaking my head. Everyone laughed, and I just chuckled.<br/>"Okay, so I was thinking tonight we pretend you went on a date with Zac, so I will pretend to be him, okay?" Jimmy said.<br/>"Yeah, sure."<br/>"Hey Anika, hop in."<br/>"I am in," I say, pretending to sit.<br/>"Uhh Buckle up," he says.<br/>"Just did, so where are going?"<br/>"Out."<br/>"Restaurant out?"<br/>"Yes."<br/>"Okay, take me to my hood... I love my hood food," I say.<br/>"Sure."<br/>"Where is Valladares, is she good?"<br/>"Uhh Yeah... Uhh second thought, can I turn around and drop you off," Jimmy said, pretending to drive.<br/>"...F*ck you Zac, you ain't gonna do me like that," I said.<br/>"I waste my money on this makeup and dress just for you to have second thoughts? You didn't even tell me you had a Valladares," I added, pretending to be angry.<br/>"This is why I am single... people play too much that I think it's all true," I said, laughing and relaxing on the couch.<br/>(END OF SHOW)<br/>After the show, I heard home and eat supper, then take a quick shower. I check my messages, emails, and DMs, I post my pictures on my story and tag my friends and Jimmy. I decide to have an early night as tomorrow will be twice as busy. A day in my life is very tight, and it's interviews after interviews... events after events! Photoshoots after photoshoots!</p>
