Noblesville

Cedric stood still again. This girl... he turned and walked to her. "What? I should teleport both of us from this forest?" He ask lazily.

Anne didn't reply, she didn't know how he'd do it but she can't stay here. "How did you get here? If I'm your parent, I'd whip sense into this head of yours," Cedric wondered how she always come here. Well if he didn't come, she would always go back herself.

Cedric took her hand in his and start walking away from there. "Yesterday, after I took you to Sandaltown I couldn't go back home with my ability." He explained and look over to the girl who was walking while staring at the ground.

Melanie woke up to find herself on an exquisite bed. Recalling what happened and the Lady Roxane, she just wanted to go home.

Not knowing how long she have been in this room, it's better to leave to avoid more troubles and even pictured Lady Roxane with bloodshot eyes.

Melanie turn to the other side of the bed so she could climb down from it. Her movement stopped when she saw Darrick sitting on the couch beside the bed.

She was astonished that this was his room and they brought her here.

Darrick stood up and straighten himself. "Time to leave, Ms. Robert," he said with a small frown on his face.

Melanie got down from the bed and swayed a little. Her stomach was still empty but she would rather go home than stay in a palace filled with vampires.

Darricks's lips twisted when he heard her stomach growl but he didn't care. Thinking about what Cedric said, Darrick didn't want to cause anyone pain so he had to let go.

Melanie glance at him for a while before walking out of the room. She knew something was wrong with him mostly when he's talking. Maybe that's why he talks less.

Darrick sighed heavily after Melanie step out of his room. His body was shaking violently but he still managed to reach the window. Down there was Melanie getting into the carriage, a small smile grazed his lips and he went back to the couch.

Soon Fergus entered his room and shut the door. When he saw Darrick shaking vigorously as if he was going to freeze that moment, he felt a sting in his little heart.

"Brother, I bring news," Fergus said.

"What is it?" Darrick tried calming himself.

"Noblesville town have been attacked by rogues. The people who were traveling along that route were killed while some were found to be missing."

" Where's Cedric?"

"He isn't... "

" I'm here," Cedric said when he entered the room." Rogue vampires in the forest, " he mentioned.

" The rogue vampires have been increasing numerously on the west of Livingston." Cedric said and walk out of Darricks's room while the brothers follow behind.

At the study room, Cedric mark

the places that have been invaded by the rogue with a red ink on the tablemap. "They're heading for Sandaltown," he said and look behind him.

Fergus was listening but to their dismay, Darrick wasn't in the room.

After his brothers got inside the study room, Darrick leaped out of the window and landed softly on the ground outside the palace. The next moment, he was gone.

Melanie was still in the royal carriage as the sky had turn dark. Her body wasn't stable and her heart was beating wildly. The fact that she was returning home late in the night didn't sit down well with her.

The carriage must've left Darkvalley because when she looked out of the window, this town was eerily quiet.

It was the town of Noblesville.

Darrick reach the forest that demarcated Darkvalley and Noblesville and was suddenly flung away from where he was standing. Darrick groan and stood up. Standing in front of him was a man who might be in his early forties.

The man's eyes were dark red and the look on his face was stern and filled with mockery.

"Who knew you would run to save the human!" the man said and scrunch his nose.

Darrick glare at the man with blood shot eyes." The last fight between us left you injured, it also caused a hard time for the girl," Siegfried said and sigh.

He was talking about the night Melanie saw Darrick lying motionless beside the fallen tree.

" That day, I wasn't prepared. Now," Darrick clench his fist into a ball," I'm ready."

Siegfried laughed heartily and tilt his head in astonishment. " The Darrick I know won't get ready even if there was war because he has his ways." said Siegfried.

"Oh, you won't be able to save that beautiful human. My my, my son would love to play with her."

Darrick claws on his right hand elongated and his eyes turn more fierce and red. He grab Siegfried by his arms and sank his claws into his flesh.

"Consider this as a gift to him," Darrick said coldly and slash the man's arm of his shoulder.

Siegfried arms fell to the ground as blood ink the forest ground. He yelled in agony and went on his knees, "I'll kill you Darrick, I swear!" His voice echoed inside the forest.

Melanie was now uneasy, the carriage was slowing down but she didn't know what was happening outside.

The coachman also felt uneasy about this town, it wasn't his first time riding along this place but it wasn't as quiet like now. Before he could figure out that there's danger ahead, an arrow pierced his neck.

Melanie heard a thud and incoherent voices outside, her palms turn sweaty and she clench her dress nervously. She was sure something bad is happening outside the carriage.

Darrick saw the carriage moving slowly and he emerge from the forest, it was when he got closer that he saw it wasn't the royal coachman but another human face.

Leaping towards the man, he stood behind the man and torn the man's head from his shoulder.

The carriage door was opened with force and Melanie was shocked to see Darrick standing there. His face was having splashes of blood and his hand was covered in blood.

Darrick saw the shocked expression on her face but he didn't mind what she was thinking, he pulled her out of the carriage and teleported away from there.
