Priscilla's POV
I woke up to the bright sunlight streaming into my room through the windows. I squinted and covered my face with my hands to shield my eyes. As I sat up in bed, I looked around the room, but Max was nowhere to be found. I couldn't even remember how I fell asleep or ended up here. The last thing I remembered was being in the dining room.
I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. I couldn't afford to be late for work. I tried not to think about Max, who seemed to have disappeared from the house. I reminded myself that I shouldn't worry about him; he's an adult and can do whatever he wants. After taking a refreshing shower, I wrapped a towel around my body and stepped out of the bathroom, heading to the closet.
